It starts today

Our Playoff run that is. Coach mac got his wish. “I want to come to work tomorrow,” is what he told us. And lo and behold we’re here. The first half was some of the best football I’ve ever seen the Roswell Hornets play, the second half, not so much.

The Hornets started the game off with the kickoff team on the field. On 3rd down, Andrew Armour picked up a fumble on the 18ish yard line. Two plays later, AD was in the end zone. Next Centennial drive, the Knights handed Zach Waddel the ball on about the 27. That drive took us 4 plays instead of two but we made it in. On the Knights third drive, they made it to our one foot line, where they promptly fumbled the ball on a QB sneak, with Curtis Hazleton picking it up. That drive ended with a Dustin Taliaferro QB sneak into the endzone. The fourth Knights drive, the ball was picked off, cant remember who did it. Soon after Ian Klipp was in the endzone with the ball. And after a last ditch fieldgoal attempt the score went into the half 28-3.

The second half was amazingly sloppy, our pass defense fell apart and our offense couldn’t produce, making the game a nerve wrecking close one. But Hornets walked away with the W and the 2nd seed in our bracket. Seems familiar to last years run huh?

Today the Hornets go back to work, and we’ll see if we can’t produce better than we did second half. We’ll see if we can keep it like the first half was.

GO HORNETS!!!!
