DEL.ICIO.USVolleyball Finishes in Second Again

Last Saturday, the Lovett Varsity Volleyball team faced up against their perennial rivals, the Wesleyan Wolves. After taking the first game 25-16 and jumping off to a 13-9 lead in the second, the Lions were overrun by the Wolves front line. Wesleyan went on to take the remaining games and win 3-1. But, the Lions should be commended for a great season, finishing 32-7 and winning the Area Championship.
I find it fitting at the end of the season to recognize the leaders of this great team, the five senior captains. Charlayna Braxton, Mary Allen Langford, Mary Grace Gallagher, Jenny Wilkes, and Leslie Miller helped propel this team to its successful year. Once again, congratulations on a great season!
