5-3

crowd.JPG More than ever the players really appreciated all the spirit the fans brought to the game on Friday night. There were more Milton fans at Roswell than I have ever seen at an away game. Even though the game did not turn out in Milton’s favor, the fans stayed on their feet and cheered until the very end. Next week Milton takes on Alpharetta at home where they will try to bounce back from the loss at Roswell.

Well the Eagles are returning to the days of old. Coaches with BAD strategies, with no GUTS to sit poor players.

Its been 8 games…SIT the QB He is slow and inaccurate. Also,#5is only giving 50%. The real RB IS #3. While #5 has all the physical makeup he has NO HEART

We love the DEEFESE ! It has been lack of a solid strategy that has done them in recently

The 3-5 has to go. Go with a 4 or 5 man line. Try it what have you got to loose !

Prediction: Stay as you are, and the season ends 5-5

SHAME ON THE COACHES

Alpharetta is out to Kick the EAGLES butts !

Our worst loss against Roswell in 40years will soon be forgotten when we get *HUMBLED * by the likes of the Raiders.

The Coaches have given up The Team has given up The Fans have given up

Why should we care about a program that has NO SELF RESPECT

You want RESPECT ?

WIN !

SOT and Blah, it’s nice to see someone who looks at this from a factual standpoint and not just from the “feel good” side.

I don’t agree the problem is the quarterback. The problem is, like last year, the coaches don’t give our QB a chance to warm up, get in a rythym, so he’s ready for the necessary or longer throws. He’s a good quarterback playing for a “quarterback killer”.

I don’t necessarily disagree with your comments about our running backs other then we use number 3 way too much and number five has been somewhat inconsistent, but who would not be when number 3 gets 90% of the offensive plays. Both are great kids from great families, but the fact is we cannot, and will not win, if number 3 gets the majority of all the touches on offense. In the end, you still cannot blame the RB’s as they don’t make the play calls!

The 3 man front defense is an absolute joke unless we’re playing teams with a losing record. Again, can’t blame the players as they play hard every game. It’s not their fault we have an easy defense to beat. I agree, sometimes we need to show the four and five man front.

I hope, for the sake of the players, who have never worked harder for any other Milton coach, get a chance to show us what they all can do and beat Alpharetta.

I also hope the parents of the underclassman wake up and figure out Walker is not the man for the job if we want to make the playoffs and win.

Interesting discussion. Look at the facts. WE (all of us) have the best coach we have had in years, with a strong staff. Excellent players. Strong competition. I agree with some conclusions, but find no fault. Unless you are willing to play or coach, let’s keep this positive. Go Eagles!

Eagle Fan and Marlo GET REAL !

“cant we just all get along” NO !!

The facts are the facts. Ending as a 500 team or one game above 500 is not success.

We had the talent this year to make the playoffs. The kids have played their hearts out and have never given up yet.

We agree, the QB is too slow. Bring in the JV QB for the last 2 games. He runs and fakes better.

This staff is stubborn. They wont try new things. They will prove it to us all, by ending the season 5-5

Great year for the Defense.

The strength of any coaching staff, is their ability to plan and adjust.

Need we say more ?

This is the best group of young men we have had in 10 years, and we wish you the players 2 more wins

Eagles are having their best season in years, I believe the reason for loss is a loss of rythm rather than bad coaching, one loss happens and thjey get their heads down. Also the offensive line needs to step it up on pass protection, that is probably why the team hardly passes. These morale and form problems should be adressed and hopefully we will end up 7-3.

Lets all get real, this is not the best team we have had in years. This is a good team with coaches that are committed to winnning and are putting the time in. We beat teams will losing records this year, in the past we played much harder cross region teams, like Walton, Kell and Wheeler. These kids have put thier best effort on the field.

I have to agree a 3 man front does not fly. Has never worked at Milton. The coaches have to learn to adjust quickly not at half time when you are down 21 points.

Mix up the offense we are to predictable, use some of the other players on offense, throw short passes, use the Tight End, then the run game comes. Stop throwing to #3, great kid but please he is to small for a catch, defenders shadow him, it has never worked, he is a great RB keep him there.

Finally, Coaches please make some changes, we realize you put in lots of hours but lets confuse ACTIVITY WITH WINNING. RESULTS is the name of the game

To date the only consistent message I seeis that we can agree to disagree.

I fully expected to loose 3 games this year, based on our teams depth chart. We have a very young line, new QB,lost 2 impact linemen before the season began, and we have players that are playing the entire season hurt.

Did anyone truly expect a better record than 7-3? If so, then I question your expertise.

Sure , Id like to see some changes in strategy, but none of us know what our options are, because we havent seen the films, and the films dont lie.

To blame the coaches is childish, and unproductive. I personally have spent more time than anyone watching practices and talking with the coaches. I am fortunate to have a job that allows me the time to do so.

Have our coaches made mistakes ? You bet, but they are the first to admit it. These guys have their priorities in line, for these young men.

My son is playing for one reason. We believe in Coach Walker , Scott, Bennett, and the entire staff. These men are dedicated to the kids.

If you Saturday morning QB’s are honest, not one of you expected better than 7-3.

The only real surprise to me was Centennial. They are vastly improved. So, Lets all take a deap breadth and SUPPORT the coaches and players for these next 2 games.

Everything considered 6-4 or 7-3 is a step in the right directions.

Parents of underclassmen, these are great coaches with solid credentials. Be glad they are coaching your sons. They care about these kids more than you know.

Tonight lets be one voice for the EAGLES

Well put…..

We can all question coaches. But take it from me this is the best coaching staff I have see at Milton in 12 years…. Wins will come we have seen that already. Once “WE” the community start believing in MILTON and support the coaches and kids it will come together.

FAN NO MORE, what ever you feel keep it to yourself, you think that helps?

I would love to see you do better….

GO EAGLES !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You Dad’s posting need to take off the rose colored glasses. Outside of Lance and occasionally Tony, this offense is pitiful. The QB is painfiully slow and can’t run the option if his life depended on it, His footwork is below subpar and his ability to make the pitch???

The game against Roswell was a great example of the shortcoming of the coaching and of the QB play. Roswell jumped out early—the kiss of death for the Eagles. Buy doing so, it meant the Eagles could not hope to run the ball and catch up—they were forced to throw the ball—to hopefully score quickly. This offense will never succeed if they have to throw. The best receivers on the team are Accurso and Mills and they rarely get looks.

I will absolutely give massive props to the defense—Collins especially—the kid is a beast. The defense is the key factor in the wins this year.

And for all of you faithful fans that think the ship is “righting” itself-please, wait until next year—the Eagles cupboard will be bare. If the Coaches could win with this year’s talent, they never will.

Ah, good to see the “feel good” dads come out in support of our coaches. Think with your hearts, not with facts.

One asks the question…”did we really think we’d end up better then 7-3”? No way. Most of us did not think we’d end up better then 5-5 and unless something changes tonight, we’ll be right with our prediction, and 7-3 will be a distant and long forgotten fairy tale.

I give massive props to a group of young men (our players) who have worked very hard this year. It’s arguable they may be the most talented group we’ve seen in years, but there’s no argument they’re probably the most mentally and physically fit/conditioned group we’ve seen (and they’ve managed to stay out of trouble off the field unlike teams in the past).

I also give massive props to our coaches who have worked very hard and treat the players better then any other coaches in the past. No doubt these are good hard working family men.

Where I part company with most is when it comes to our coaches knowledge of the game of football. Let’s be honest these coaches still lack the experience and knowledge to compete at this level. Time will tell if they can make the necessary adjustments. I truly hope they do because it’s too disruptive for the program to bring in another coach.

Unfortunately for many of us, it’s far too late for our 2008 Senior players who should have made the playoffs (yes, we won’t beat the hooch).

Good luck class of 2009!

“#10Dad”…cute.

This is a public blog, insn’t it? I don’t have to keep it to myself.

I also don’t have to do better as I don’t get paid to coach the team.

However, if I was getting paid to coach the team I certainly would swallow my pride and try to adapt to overcome vs. sticking with the same tired routine.

The good news is time will prove me right or wrong. If I’m wrong then I’m wrong and I’ll shut up forever.

If I’m right, too bad because it means our players and fans have been disappointed again.

Even so, it’s will be over in less then 10 days and I’ll cease and disist forever as my moniker says “fan no more”.

Ok I have heard enough from the fans. Where were you during the summer at nine in the morning…. Oh yea you were still in your bed sleeping the day away while the PLAYERS AND COACHES WERE BUSTING THEIR BUTS. every single day of the hot miserable summer the players and coaches showed up and worked hard. until anyone wants to give the team or the coaching staff any BS put in the hours these MEN have put in and then we will talk. as for the team I hope you kick the crap out of Chattahoochee this week. for those seniors you guys deserve a last game win. I miss you guys so much and wish I could still be out there with you all. I will be back next season. I wish you guys the best of luck and finish this season on a good note. I am getting my act together and will never let you guys, my family down ever again. GATA THIS WEEK.

You all don’t get it. Milton doesn’t have the PLAYERS. Leave these coaches alone, they’ve done the best they can with what they have.

Look at the top teams in 5A - they have 5, 6 or more Players! People who can actually PLAY. People who are going to D1 schools and Play. Milton doesn’t have that luxury. Now They may have more kids who play football go to D1 Schools as students than the top football 5A schools. UNLESS OR UNTIL GOOD PLAYERS ENROLL INTO MILTON.

My neighbor was telling me about a JR. QB that transferred into Milton last spring and they were excited about him - WHAT HAPPENED?
