Homecoming Game Did Not Disappoint
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
Of course, we didn’t plan on being disappointed. It was homecoming time here at the big N, and everyone is pumped for the game and the dance the next day. The theme this year at Norcross was Greek, mostly based on the movie 300. As the school yelled “This is Norcross!” throughout the week, we were ready for another win, this time against Forsyth Central and their 2-6 record.
“Defensively, we played as well as we’ve done all year,” said Norcross head coach Keith Maloof.
We hit the ground running with a touchdown to start off the match. Everyone kept the Blue Devils going, but into the second quarter, the game did not move. As half-time approached, the homecoming court for 2007 were introduced, as the band played “In My Life / Yesterday” by The Beatles. Of course, everyone was excited for this year’s homecoming, and the fact that we stopped the Bulldogs in their tracks only showed us how much we owned… and the Bulldogs could do nothing about it.
The team picked up the ball in the third quarter racking in a total 17 more points, and then a final touchdown in the fourth quarter to finally quiet the Forsyth Central Bulldogs at 31-0.
Fact Sheet:
NORCROSS 31, FORSYTH CENTRAL 0
Norcross 7 0 17 7 = 31
Forsyth Central 0 0 0 0 = 0
GO NORCROSS BLUE DEVILS, 7-1!!
