Norcross Gets Ready
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
The Blue Devils took their season break off this week, as Norcross High School hosted the 5th annual ‘Taste of Norcross’, which was an event where local restaurants come and share their food with the community.
The Friday night scores last night had surprised me, as No.1 Stephenson lost to M.L. King, and also Peachtree Ridge lost to the (undefeated) North Gwinnett team. As the stats for ranks shift yet again for this week, it looks like North Gwinnett may be deemed No.1 AAAAA. That should be exciting, seeing as we play them as our last game of the regular season at home. And if you remember last year, we played them last year at an undefeated versus undefeated status. It was an exciting game, and we took the gold home that night!
As we get ready for the last half of the season, let us take a look at teams at a glance:
Next week we will travel to Mill Creek and face off their 5-2 team. After that, we stay at home for the fight against Forsyth Central and face off their 2-4 team. Then, our last away game of the regular season will take place at Collins Hill as we will go up against their 1-5 team. And then, the last game (which will be most likely the most anticipated game yet after PRHS) will be agaisnt the undefeated North Gwinnett Bulldogs who are at 7-0.
When we look at the gist, we have to focus on locking a win at Mill Creek, and then continue the streak of taking down North Gwinnett to show them who is in charge! By looking at the stats of Forsyth Central and Collins Hill, those games should be a breeze, but we will not get cocky.
Let’s get ready to head to the PLAYOFFS!
