Losing streak Snapped

For the past three years I have sat and watched my team get pummeled by Woodstock. Last year was the worst. In three overtimes we should have won by a field goal, but the referee said it wasn’t sufficient.

This year, the new and approved team was ready to get back at the Wolverines for not only last year’s loss but the many that came before that.

They did so, in beating Woodstock 16-0. The first touchdown did not occur until the fourth quarter, so it was a definite nail biting contest. Once Michael Turner (6) scored that first touchdown though, Etowah’s crowd errupted. The fans did not calm down, not even after the rushng of the field to celebrate the win.

Cars were honking as they left the parking lot with loud blaring music. Kids were screaming as they were walking to their cars. Air horns were being blown as thunder sticks were being thrashed together.

As Etowah goes on to be named undefeated they are ready to face the teams to come.

What an ugly game on Friday night. What happen? Do we not know how to kick field goals? I am totally confused on how that game went over. Need to explain to fans. We looked awful. Did the team go out the night before.
