Rocky Chiefs look to rebound

Look at the past. 8-4 in 2001. 8-3 in 2002. 8-3 in 2003 (Region 6-AAAAA Champs). 11-2 in 2004 (#5 in Class AAAAA). 8-3 in 2006. 47-20 in the past 6 seasons.

Sequoyah lost to Etowah and Woodstock this season, just the second time in 9 years that has ever occurred in the same season under Sid Maxwell. After falling to Etowah in the first week before experiencing a bye, Sequoyah is looking to bounce back from their 31-7 loss in a battle with Osborne. Their first Region 5-AAAA matchup of the season, the Chiefs are led by senior quarterback Nathan Grummer, who was 0 for 9 against the Eagles on August 31st. Last season, the Chiefs defeated the Cardinals 36-0 behind the powerful tank Adam Mincey.

Look at the past. Winning is a tradition and it continues Friday. GO CHIEFS!
