Domination

With the close ones must come the blow outs. Chamblee crushed South Atlanta 46-0 in the Bulldog’s season opener. No one really knew what to expect coming into this game. Leaving the game, the fans felt satisfied of the new Bulldog’s look under Coach Showfety. Chamblee controlled all aspects of the game. Even when it seemed that South Atlanta would remove the treacherous zero after completing three straight passes, Chamblee intercepted an under thrown pass in the endzone and ran it back for eighty one yards.

Saturday’s game forshadows how the Bulldogs will go about their business this season. They will primarily keep it on the ground. Chamblee relies on its core of talented running backs such as Darius Jones (Roddy Jones’s younger brother), Malcom Beyah, and Warren Norman to advance the ball. Bulldogs depend on producing three and outs and turnovers. Since the Bulldogs will pass sparingly, field position is key in consistently scoring touchdowns. Also, strong special teams are monumental in winnning the field position battle. Special teams looked solid against South Atlanta which will be the x-factor all season. Even with this opening sucess, the path ahead gets significantly difficult when hitting the divisional meat of our schedule, where the pressure of the playoffs will appear.
