The Show Must Go On!

Stormy weather came to many high school football games; some games were postponed, and even canceled. However, the Norcross-Duluth game was different. The show went on for the Blue Devils, and with no surprise, came out victorious!

Kick-off began promptly at 7:30 PM, but the skies looked grim from the beginning. The first quarter began slow, with Norcross making a touchdown in the first few minutes. Then a touchdown shortly followed by Duluth. With just a few minutes left remaining on the clock for the first quarter, lightning decided to pay us a visit. Not wanting to take any risks against mother nature, the game was announced to be delayed. The band quickly left the stands first and into the school as not to ruin their uniforms. Then, then the rest of audience of both teams evacuated into a nearby gym. The delay lasted almost an hour, but rest assured, the game would continue.

Afterwards, the game started gaining some momentum. The Blue Devils would began to leave the Duluth Wildcats in the dust. With the skies still drizzling, everyone was even more pumped up then before. The amazing Blue Crew, Marching Band, and the Norcross Community cheered the Blue Devils to a great game leaving the score at 47-12.

Man when they delayed the game I thought they had canceled it so I left and when I got home I found out it was just a delay. Oh well, at least we showed up the Wildcats AGAIN!

It was a great game!!! I think Norcross can make it all the way to the Dome…There were more fans from Norcross than from Duluth; that was sad…….
