Football picks that won’t shrink your boobs
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
Mr. Dow Jones, whom I’ve never personally met and seems as stable as Lou Holtz doing standup at a mikvah, continued his acid trip Thursday. The market finished up 172 points, which follows a 700-point decline, which followed a 400 rise, which followed the pits of hell.
And did Mr. Dow Jones tell you that Georgia wouldn’t cover against Vandy and the Raiders would upset Brett Favre and everybody in his Fave Five? No. That would be me.
But there is a bigger concern now than the housing market or the economy. A study in Sweden indicates that drinking three cups of coffee a day can shrink breast size, news that may crush Starbucks, particularly locations close to country clubs or any home tuned to, “The Real House Bubbleheads of Atlanta.”
For the record, I drink seven cups of coffee a day and my boobs haven’t shrunk. But, quoting Helena Jernstroem, a lecturer at Sweden’s Lund University: “Drinking coffee can have a major effect on breast size. Coffee-drinking women do not have to worry their breasts will shrink to nothing overnight. The breasts aren’t just going to disappear.”
This doesn’t really have a lot to do with the Georgia-LSU game, but I really hate breaking down blocking schemes. Then again, the Bulldogs may want to treat the Tigers’ defensive front to some French roast.
Georgia is out of time. Step up or get out of BCS fantasyland. This week won’t be easy. Next week will be worse. But one DD monument at a time.
Oh Barista: a mild upset please. Dogs win (and take the 2).
School Daze
• Virginia at Tech: Shouldn’t take long for Virginia to come down from the high of a three-game winning streak. They’re the Jackets’ homecoming opponent. They’ve also lost their only two road games (Connecticut and Duke) by a combined 76-13, give or take an appendage. Buzz rolls on. But they won’t cover 12.
• Alabama at Tennessee: Ken Stabler, former QB and winner of the Bathtub Gin Invitational, was somehow found not guilty of DUI by a smalltown Alabama judge — despite a state trooper testifying he had slurred speech, his car stunk of booze and he refused a breathalyzer. Judge James Sweet left the court without comment. Something about a game to get to. Roll, Justice! Tide wins, but take the Vols and 6 1/2.
• Petrino and the Little Piggies: Arkansas has won four straight over Mississippi by scores of 35-3, 28-17, 38-3 and 44-8. But its coach was Houston Nutt, who was run out of town and is now the mayor of Oxford. Bobby Petrino? He said Arkansas “will grow from giving away a game” to Kentucky. Suddenly, Beelzebub is a gelding. Rebels cover 5.
• Kentucky at Florida: Don’t even look, little Doggies. Gators cover the 241/2 by “… and the home of the brave.”
• Virginia Tech at FSU: If this V-Tech falls and the G-Tech wins, the Jackets have a clear path to the ACC title game. Next thing you know, things will really get crazy and they’ll sell out a home game. Noles cover 5.
Matt Ryan Swoon Over America Tour
• Falcons at Eagles: Ryan returns home to Philly. Something tells me this isn’t going down as easily as mom’s meatloaf. The Eagles get back Brian Westbrook, and Jim Johnson has had a week to prepare his defense for the NFL’s hot little team. Check? Eagles cover nine.
• Chiefs at Jets: The Jets waited all last week. But Brett Favre never phoned to tell them how to beat the Raiders. New York wins, but give me K.C. and the 13.
• Bucs at Cowboys: Wade Phillips says he is taking over defensive plays. How long do you think before Jerry Jones tells him his headset isn’t plugged in? Bucs in an upset (but take the 2 1/2).
• Giants at Steelers: Hines Ward threw a block last week and broke somebody’s jaw. I’m fairly certain he’ll never have to pay for a meal in Pittsburgh ever again. Pitt covers the 3.
• Raiders at Ravens: They were going to hold this game at Attica. But 78 percent of the convicted felons felt it would interfere with their rehabilitation. Baltimore covers 7.
Blue-chip indicators
Last week: 9-1 straight up, 5-5 against the line.
Progress report: 51-27 straight up, 35-41-2 a.t.l.

I tell you what jeff. These next two weeks are UGA’s season. If the dogs come out flat LSU will eat them alive and leave no bones or grissle. But,( and I speak with very high hopes) If the dawgs can survive the gambler this week and steal another one in J’ville the next, you would have to think that Alabama’s gonna be in a world of trouble in Atlanta in december

The injuries are just mounting too fast for the Dawgs. Unless the skill players start really playing up to their potential to compensate, I smell a split at best in the next two weeks. And that was nice of their number 1 o-line prospect to leave today; did he think he wouldn’t get playing time next year or something?

D-man: Auburn game is going on now. This is for Friday “print” publication. But I’ll be happy to tell you in a few hours. … Denver Dawg: I know some people think this is a setup game for Bama, but I couldn’t make that jump and pick Tennessee. This might be the worst Tennessee team I’ve ever seen. But Bama losing their nose tackle is big (no pun intended). … JS

Jeff, Are you a journalist, or are you a comedian? Since you’re not funny, I’m going to assume journalist.
“They’ve also lose their only two road games.” Maybe you’re more suited for the David Letterman show, (he’s not funny either) instead of a columnist for the SE largest Fishwraper. They pay you for this stuff?
Anyway,

31-0 at the half?!!!
As I continually state in my blogs - UGA is way overrated this year as all the media and fans look at skill position - but failed to look at the youth on UGA’s line.
UGA has a good team this year - but they are not a great team. Worthy of Top 25 - but no where near the elite teams.
Saturday - UGA will put up a fight - but LSU will win going away - and UGA will take even a bigger beating against the Gators. At the end of the year - UGA will be ranked somewhere between 25 and 20 with 3 to 4 losses. A notch above mediocre.
UGA tries to out athlete their opponents -based on speed and athletic ability. A sports car type of team - but this year running on regular. This is how Richt has built the team. This bodes well when UGA plays overmatched opponents - but when matched up against the Elites - UGA get’s dominated and just can not win a tough game in the trenches - except against the likes of S. Carolina.
Richt builds his team to be sleek looking sports cars - but this year it runs on regular - NO HIGH PERFORMANCE ENGINE UNDER THE HOOD.
As a BAMA fan - I am rooting for UGA this weekend - but my expectations of this team are very low. A nice little team - but nothing special.
ROOOLLLLLL TIDE!!!!

Denver Dawg, If UGA couldn’t call out Bama on blackshirt night with the whole nation watching then what on earth makes you think the worst UT team in recent memory can do it? Losing Cody is a big loss but what the bama haters don’t realize is that his backup Chapman is 305, benches nearly 500 lbs and is the strongest player on the team, and can toss around a few o-lineman himself. He and Cody split snaps 50/50 so all it really means is that the other starter will take over And his backup will be the guy that started at nosetackle all of last year. The beat goes on and another one will bite the dust. You can always hope for us to lose in Baton Rouge in 3 weeks but that is our home away from home as LSU fans well know.

Chris Little has been injured and has not set his bad foot on the field all season. Of course things were not going his way. Sounds like the kid can’t make up his mind where he wants to be. I wish him luck wherever he lands unless he’s playing against the Dawgs.
BTW, today is the last day to WD from classes at UGA without a WF. Coincidence?

dude, you’re extremely annoying. I bet your friends hate when college football is brought up when you’re around. You guys have one decent 1st half of the season and God Almighty, I see Bear Bryant. The facts are, you guys can’t close out games, Nick Saban is still a prick and Tennessee is better up front than we are. It’ll be a closer game than you think.
UGA wins at LSU 28-20 when we pick off a “pass” from Jarrett Lee with 3 min left.

BamaStan,
Where would Bama be if Cody was out for the season after game 1 and your stud LT was out before the season started? Probably even worse off than the Dawgs are w/out Owens & Sturdivant. The Dawgs have amazing depth which is something Bama lacks at the present time.
Bama kicked UGA’s butt for 2 quarters and was then outscored 30-10 in the second half. That seems to be a trend for Bama this season. If ya’ll are going to be a serious NC contender, you’ll need to learn how to FINISH THE DRILL.

Alabama has a good team,a very good team but honestly, you don’t really think you will go 14-0, do you? Clemson was overrated. The Mutts were overrated(But, you don’t want to see them again). Ole Miss and Ky were underated, if you are that good. I don’t think you will win the SEC Championship Game, reguardless of who you play. 12-2 is more like it. Wait and see.

Georgia put up 30 in the second half against “Bama and believe me, Nick Saban was not happy. The Dogs offense is ready to jell with B Southerland blocking like an extra O lineman and penalties way down last week. If Stafford is on, Georgia wins…handily. Georgia’s worst games in the past few years have been against teams with highly experienced QBs (Vols in 2007, Bama this year). And don’t forget CMR’s road record. That second chance against the Tide.

Well, now I’m sure looking forward to watching my Bulldogs play football against the Tigers of LSU. Death Valley is a tough venue. I’m really hoping that we come to play. LSU has a storied tradition and have alway proven to be a formidable foe. Les Myles is one hell of a coach and always has his team ready to play. I’d like to think we can establish the run and successfully throw down field off of the play-action. Hopefully, our defensive front has improved enough to get solid pressure on the talented but young QB tandem in Baton Rouge. We have played a nice position defense in recent years and that should bode well against the option. If we can just get some pressure from our defensive line, we could be in a nice position for some interceptions from our cover 2. Anyway, I have probably written enough. I do not wish to take up too much of my fellow bloggers’ time. I would like to close by wishing a good game to both teams and a prayer that there are no injuries. Good luck Tigers and Go Dawgs!!!!!!!

StingDoc, Buzzy: Yeah, Tech’s better than expected. Yeah, they may win their division in the ACC.
That’s just it: it’s the ACC.
Winning a football title in the South’s version of the MAC is somewhat akin to winning the lottery in Tanzania: it’s a win, but the scale of the win is not that impressive.
And this whole athlete recruitment thing is laughable. You really think that Tech recruits from a different athlete population than Georgia? Hey, newsflash: THEY RECRUIT THE SAME ATHLETES. I mean, granted, Georgia wouldn’t have recruited Reggie Ball because he probably couldn’t find his way out of a wet paper bag with a GPS and a map, but otherwise, the recruitment population is the same.
(And, by the way, it’s not up to the Georgia scoreboard keeper to teach Reggie Ball to count to four. That was Tech’s responsibility—one they apparently egregiously failed in).
Finally, in the non-Paleolithic era, Tech and Georgia have the same number of national titles: one each. If you want to get down to the nitty-gritty, the titles Tech claims are all split or disputed national “titles.” If Georgia used the same methodology, it would count five national titles among its haul. If one looks only at consensus national titles, Tech won in 1917, 1928 and the split title in 1990 (although the Jackets were named as national champion on only 5 of the 23 polls listed that year). The modern era of college football, with either the AP, UPI, USA Today or BCS poll governing the “true” national champion, started in 1936, or 72 years ago. In that era, Georgia and Tech have one recognized title each.
So stop that national title differential talk. If you go back to the era Tech claims their “titles” from, Fordham and Yale have bragging rights over both Georgia and Tech. Think that’s relevant to the current state of college football?
Thought not.
Oh, and by the way, Dawgs and Tech both will win this weekend. Just FYI.
Bama Stan, get yours in while you can. You guys will beat Tennessee this weekend because they have no offense at all. But revel in your 31 point first half as much as possible before the first weekend in December. Payback’s coming one way or another. If you play Georgia in the SECCG, you’ll lose. If you play Florida in the SECCG, you’ll lose.
Braggin’ rights last just a few more weeks. Enjoy.

Ramble On- I have respect for what is going on over there on North Ave. But don’t think for a second that your weak ACC schedule has anything in comparison to what UGA has to face. Lets not forget that you only scored 10 against Gardner-Webb. If you played UGA’s schedule, GT would be 4-3 or 3-4, with the swing game being Tennessee.
This game on Saturday is going to be a fight for sure. The key to the game is going to be how well AJ can open up that defense. If he gets big yards in the first 2 possessions, look for Moreno and King to hammer it home. I don’t think that we can use the line as an excuse anymore. They have played enough now to not be considered “rookies”. They handled Tenn, which ranks higher than LSU’s. That is in run defense as well. Lets just hope there isn’t an “earthquake”…

Bama Stan- Maybe you woke up and weren’t in Tuscaloosa anymore… Maybe you had Saban telling you to follow the yellow brick road.
You don’t want to talk about the 2nd half of that game do you? Apparently Alabama takes the crazy football cyborgs out after the first half and the real team comes out for the 2nd half. Look for this to be foreshadowing for the 2nd half of your season. Starting with a loss on Saturday, then to LSU, then to Auburn, then to BYU in the Music City Bowl.

Auburn just lost to West Virginia…badly. As soon as Pat White shook off the rust from missing a month, they went on a 31-0 run. They gave up 450 yards, including 200 yards rushing to Devine. Later this season, when Auburn plays UGA close, the story will be, “the conference is just balanced.” Arkansas plays Florida close for a half, and should have beat Kentucky. Balanced. Forget that they lost HUGE to Texas and squeeked by two puny opponents in the 4th quarter. Tennessee plays Georgia tough…rivalry game, balanced. Yet they lost to UCLA, a team in the PAC 10 toilet. Wake up and smell what you all are shoveling.

I know we are clinging to our second half “comeback” against Alabama, but Dawg fans need to be grounded in reality. We have a very good football team, but we need to stop making excuses. Injuries happen and great teams overcome them. In the second half, Alabama was playing more not to lose then they were to keep rolling. We had two good drives, and this was something to build upon. However, we did not moount a “comeback.” As soon as we got within 14 points, Alabama ran away again and put us away. Take away from that game a lesson. Don’t overestimate anyone. Lay off our Tech friends about the GW game. They thought they could play 2nd and 3rd stringers and win easily, and GW showed otherwise. Once the emotion got out of the game, Tech could not get it back. This game is not a reflection of Tech, anymore that the first half of the Bama game is a reflection of the Dawgs.

I know you BAMA fans are excited, but please. What’s BAMA’s record the last 5, 10 years?? What, 6-6 last year?? You haven’t beaten AUBURN in 20 yrs at your HOME Field!! You got beat by Louisiana Monroe last year. You’ve beat exactly ONE top 10 team & you think you’re world beaters. What a joke. You will get waxed IF you make it to the SEC Champ Game.

Those bounces that happen to go Tebow’s way won’t do so against Kentucky. To think Florida is going to put up 51 against Kentucky is to think UGA will hold LSU to no sacks. It’s not going to happen. If Kentucky is to lose by 24 it better be a shut out. I say Florida turns it over twice, but still wins by 10.

The Georgia BoozeDogs get blown out at LSU. What an overrated team. As to the SEC, please tell us again why it is a “strong conference”. It includes such powerhouse teams teams as AR, KY, MissState, Auburn, TN, Vandy, SC. All we have heard about is the BoozeDogs “murderous” schedule…Granted, they play 4 tough teams out of a 12 game schedule, and got blown out by the first tough one, AL. After they lose to the 3 remaining tough teams on the schedule, will BoozeDog fans still be talking about that “tough SEC schedule”. The fact is, BoozeDogs haven’t beaten a good football team all year, and just because FL, AL, LSU are good teams doesn’t make the SEC a great conference.

BAMA got outscored 30-10 in the 2nd half. Also embarrassing. ROLE TIDE, UGA took BAMA lightly coming into that game. Why should they take a team that’s lost to AUBURN 6-yrs in a row, lost to LuMonroe and MissSt serious?? A team that UGA had beat the last 3 times? Last 4 games UGA vs. ALA, UGA leads 3-1. Bama Stan, you had better worry about the powerhouse team Saban has built??? If Kentucky q.b. doesn’t hand the mighty tide a touchdown, you and your powerhouse team would have lost at home to a double digit foe. Same thing last week versus another inferior team, that being Ole Miss. Your team is out of shape, and it shows in the second half of each game. Guess that what happens to muscular physical teams like Bama??? Give me a break. Richt’s fast sports car teams had beaten the mighty tide 3 consecutive times until this year, guess that sports car grew some muscle. The SEC is very AVERAGE this year.
Their 28-6 OOC record looks impressive, until you realize they are only 5-5 against BCS opponents. Compare that to the lowly ACC’s 10-7 record against BCS opponents (The ACC has won as many as the SEC has played, sad). The SEC likes to get fat playing Sun Belt teams and then crowing about their OOC record, while the ACC is playing real competition.
But, SEC fans, don’t feel too sad. At least you have a better record against BCS competetion than the Pac10, the Big10, the BigEast and the Big12 (all of which are one game under .500).
Makes you wonder where the lowly ACC really ranks.

heeldawg. I see you have been stung by my posts of fact and those of other Yellow Jackets.
You wrote: * “Winning a football title in the South’s version of the MAC is somewhat akin to winning the lottery in Tanzania: it’s a win, but the scale of the win is not that impressive.”* I guess you can explain that to West Va. who seems to mop up the SEC at will. The # of players drafted by the NFL is one of the best criteria for objectively evaluating how good a conference is, wouldn’t you agree? I will repeat some posts previously posted:
The following graphic and comments were noted on Raycom TV during the GT-BC game:
“MORE PLAYERS WERE DRAFTED FROM THE ACC, 115, OVER THE PAST 3 YEARS THAN FROM ANY OTHER CONFERENCE! THIS INCLUDES THE #1, 2, AND 3 PICKS: MATT RYAN, BC; CALVIN JOHNSON, GT; AND MARIO WILLIAMS, NC STATE!”
This was also noted in the AJC:
http://www.ajc.com/gatech/content/sports/gatech/stories/2008/09/15/georgiatechacc_sec.html
in an article by KEN SUGIURA.
Also, the ACC is only 1 point behind the SEC in the Sagarin Ratings:
1 BIG 12 = 78.48 2 BIG TEN = 77.62 3 SOUTHEASTERN = 77.41 4 ATLANTIC COAST = 76.42
I DON’T AGREE THAT THE BIG TEN IS #2.. THE SEC SHOULD BE #1 OR #2, BUT THOSE ARE THE COMPUTER STATS.
BTW, Sagarin has GT @ #16 and UGA @ #8.
I don’t try to put down the SEC, which is a great football conference, but I don’t appreciate those who knock the ACC which is also a good conference. We don’t have a powerhouse this year, but top to bottom, there are a lot of good teams.
You wrote: “And this whole athlete recruitment thing is laughable. You really think that Tech recruits from a different athlete population than Georgia?” All of the Tech coaches, including Bobby Dodd and O’Leary have stated that they can’t recruit most of the athletes who go to UGA because they can’t meet the academic requirements at Tech. To deny this is what is laughable. Tech compensates for this because, as Bobby Dodd said, “We get the smart ones!”
You wrote: “And, by the way, it’s not up to the Georgia scoreboard keeper to teach Reggie Ball to count to four.” So you condone putting CHEATING DAWGS on your scoreboard to deliberately mislead opponents at the end of tight games? Somehow, that doesn’t surprise me.
You wrote: “Finally, in the non-Paleolithic era, Tech and Georgia have the same number of national titles: one each.” I suppose if you arbitrarily start your data from 1980, you are correct. If you want to be accurate and look at all of football history, as most educated football scholars do using all the polls who have proclaimed National Champions, then Georgia Tech won 6 and Georgia won 5 National Championships. Of those, the only consensus, unanimous National Champion was Georgia Tech in 1917. Here is the reference:
Past Division I Football Bowl Subdivision (Division I FBS) National Champions (formerly called Division I-A)
GT listed as NC in 1990, 1956, 1952, 1951, 1928, 1917 = 6 National Championships
UGA listed as NC in 1980, 1968, 1946, 1942, 1927 = 5 National Championships
http://www.ncaa.org/champadmin/iafootballpast_champs.html
Prior to 1909, the Ivy League Schools won the National Championships, esp. Yale and Princeton. These can’t be ignored since they were instrumental in getting football started in this country.
BTW, Bobby Dodd said that his 1956 team, which lost only to Tennessee in the Game of the Year, 6-0, on a fluke play, was his greatest team, better than his two undefeated teams.
You wrote: “So stop that national title differential talk. If you go back to the era Tech claims their “titles” from, Fordham and Yale have bragging rights over both Georgia and Tech. Think that’s relevant to the current state of college football?” Actually, I do. Historically speaking, Yale won more NC’s than either Tech or Georgia, and I think that has to be respected. I didn’t see Fordham listed as NC, but wasn’t Vince Lombardi the right guard at Fordham? Don’t many regard him as the greatest coach ever in professional football?
I REST MY CASE.

If Alabama is so badly conditioned which, for you, explains the close games to Kentucky and Ole Miss, what does that say about the puppies? StingDoc make some excellent points, heeldawg. To me, both schools have rich football traditions, and both the SEC and the ACC are good conferences. I don’t see the need to try and trash Tech and the ACC as you are doing. It does our cause no good. Tech clearly has the advantage over us in National Championships, as StingDoc has shown. We have the advantage in head-to-head wins, especially since the Bobby Dodd era when we were about even. We have won 7 straight. Bobby Dodd won 8 straight, which is still the record. I do think the scoreboard mishap involving Reggie Ball and 3rd vs. 4th down was a disgrace. We do not have to win by cheating. Both schools represent the state of Georgia and should be honored. It is good for the state and the rivalry if both do well and that is what I encourage.

Stingdoc:
You and I used the same website (Wikipedia) for data.
I concur with two of the the three all-time consensus national titles as listed for Tech—the 1917 and 1928 ones. The 1990 title clearly was not a consensus title as it was split between Colrado and Tech, as everyone knows. Whether you feel those early titles (and those of Yale, etc. prior to the “modern” era, as defined by the use of the AP/UPI/USA Today/BCS polls beginning in the late 1930’s) are relevant is essentially the gist of our disagreement. I stand by my prior arguments about the number of Tech and Georgia national titles being identical during the “modern era,” as defined on that same Wikipedia website that you referenced. Those numbers stand at one each over the past 70+ years, which is longer than the lifetimes of most of the people who read the AJC. However, you do back your position here up with real data, which is more than I can say for most folks posting on this website. Kudos to you for that.
With regard to the Bobby Dodd quotes, I can’t argue that Tech players had a different academic standard to meet during that era. However, that era ended over forty years ago. TODAY, Georgia and Tech recruit from the same talent pool. I would like to see an SAT/ GPA comparison for the players from both schools. I’d be willing to bet that they aren’t significantly statistically different. Moreover, only about 10% of both sets of players would likely qualify for regular admission to each school without academic exceptions being made. Stafford, Aaron Murray, Richard Samuel, Makiri Pugh and a few others at U.Ga. would still be allowed in. But both schools must make significant academic exceptions to get their star players into school.
With regard to the Reggie Ball/scoreboard thing, that’s part of the game, like fumbles that aren’t called fumbles and non-fumbles that are. The difference in that game is that Reggie had some control over his own destiny. I always knew what down it was when I played high school ball. And anyway, he threw that ball away when he was running for his life to escape from David Pollack. Wouldn’t have made any difference anyway.
I do appreciate intelligent discussion such as your own. Thanks for putting some thought into it.

I concur that the NC in 1990 was split between GT and Colorado, even though the reference lists it as consensus. Tech should have been outright NC since they beat Nebraska 45-21 whereas Nebraska led Colorado 6-0 going into the 4th period and was ranked #3 at the time. Furthermore, Colorado was beaten by Illinois which was shellacked by Clemson in the Gator Bowl, also had a tie, and had the infamous 5 downs to beat Missouri whereas Tech was the only undefeated team in the nation. Finally, Notre Dame should have won in the Orange Bowl except for the phantom “clip” which negated a ND TD by Rocket Ismail. From ESPN:
Jan. 1, 1991: Orange Bowl Classic (Colorado 10, Notre Dame 9) A year after losing a national title to Notre Dame in the Orange Bowl, the Buffaloes hang on in one of the most exciting and controversial finishes in Orange Bowl history. Colorado led 10-9, before Irish speedster Rocket Ismail took a punt back 91 yards for a TD with 43 seconds left. The play was nullified by a clip some saw and some didn’t.
Tech suffered from geographical bias in that poll as have many Southern teams over the years, including Georgia, in my view.
I don’t agree with your putting all the blame on a 20 year old expecting him to ignore the scoreboard on a pressure packed situation. I, for one, will never believe the scoreboard error was an accident. As DawgPride said, it “was a disgrace. We do not have to win by cheating.”
Do all Georgia players have to take calculus? I don’t think so.
Anyway, your last post was much more respectful, and I appreciate that.

I surmised that it takes “real coffee” to shrink “real boobs”, thus, my Starbucks would only be affected if the switched to Sanka.
Incidentally, I read that “shrinkage” report to my wife, who then inquired as to what substance might reverse the process, and make boobs larger.
I could only think of one:
Money.
Have a great week-end!

I really get sick of the stereotypes guys
If you have played the game you don’t run your mouth to your opponent. You respect he other side. (of course that was long time ago and the game has changed)
Shut up until the whistle blows and let the football do the talking
God knows both schools will need it today, even with a hobnail boot.

Nerds Lose! I told you so! I told you the DAWGS would win and the Nerds would go back to losing like they usually do. Now you will start calling for your new Coach’s head. How Classless! Does not look like you have another win on the schedule this year!

Poor Ramble On! Guess he will get drunk on his last Zimas this weekend. Things are back to normal with the classless Nerds losing and the DAWGS winning big on the road at LSU! Nerds kness would be shaking so badly that they couldn’t even play against a team like LSU. The ACC is pitiful this year.

BTW, StingDoc, are you really a Doc?
If so, what specialty (I’m a gastroenterologist)?
Sorry that the Jackets lost today. Al Groh’s done an amazing job with a Virginia team that was dead in the water at the beginning of the season. I’m amazed they’re as good as they are now. Both Tech and Virginia should be pretty good over the next few years—very young teams.
