AAAAA champ Camden County leads in signees with 15
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
Camden County won the Class AAAAA championship in 2008. Now comes another title: the school with the most college signees in the Class of 2009.
Camden had 15 players sign last week, including QB Christian Milstead to Navy, WR DeAngelo Smith to South Carolina and lineman Ryan Attaway to Memphis. A few Camden signees didn’t start, which shows you the depth of that team.
M.L. King was next with 13. Linebacker Joel Kight (Ole Miss) was the marquee player in that group.
Below is the Top 10 schools in Georgia for having players sign.
My data is unofficial, so if you suspect an error, please ask and I’ll check it out.
15, Camden County
13, M.L. King
11, Banneker
11, Newnan
11, Westlake
10, Cairo
10, McNair
10, Norcross

What counties had the most signees?

Which high school football regions had the most? ? This is surprising. It’s 5-AAA with 43. That’s the region with Carver-Atlanta, Cedar Grove, Dunwoody and McNair. That’s despite St. Pius having none, as best I can tell.

34, 7-AAAAA
Which states (according to MaxPreps)? This is Division 1-A signees only. Georgia had more than 600 signees overall.
