To: Wildcatfan and footballfan. You guys did a lot of trash talking on how NSWR was going to lose to Valdosta. Now, you have to eat crow. It wasn’t as close as the score, 28-14. NSWR took a knee on the 9-yard line in lieu of going for a touchdown or field goal. Also, Valdosta’s first score came with 4:00 minutes left in the game. We liked your welcome to the the big league as “you” so defined playing in 1AAAAA. Not bad to beat your second best 1AAAAA team by some old middle Georgia boys from 4AAAA. Go back and read some of your blogs—you will be so hurt. Man up—-NSWR kicked your butt! Don’t come back with your weak game by switching to Lowndes. That is not your team.

North Gwinnett 33 Norcross 19. A tale of 2 games. Norcross jumped to a 19-0 lead before North could even get a first down. North scored a touchdown with 2 seconds left in first half to cut lead to 19-10. North took 2nd half kickoff & roared down field to make it 19-17. After a Norcross turnover & a North punt. Norcross snapped the ball over the punters head for a safety. Then, North took the ball downfield for a touchdown & the lead. After an interception, North punched in a final touchdown with 3 min left for the final 33-19. Props to Coach Sphire & his staff for making adjustments & coming back from a 19-0 deficit.

To Northside fan remember you played a Valdosta team that is highly overrated even if they were not in the top 10. they were ok last year but 2 years ago they only had 1 win. Lowndes will be a different story. too bad we can’t play you in the regular season. But if you make it to the playoffs the royal blue wildcats will dominate you!! Camden 15-0!!

By TuckerAintShyte

I went to the Tucker vs. Miller Grove game tonight and witnessed that TUCKER AINT SH!T. They are over rated. They don’t look like a playoff bound team, let along the #1 team in the state. I guess the AJC writer’s are going off last year’s team! If you take away MGHS two interception that they ran back for TDs; MGHS wins the game. THS couldn’t move the ball at all in the 2nd half. They fumble too much and their special teams play is horrible. They won’t get out the 2nd round, might not make it out the 1st round. Oh, and JD can’t be highly recruited, unless it’s for his mouth (too short). Tucker was Exposed, apparently the voters haven’t been to a game versus a decent opponent!!

I hate to be the one that says, I told you! On one of my blogs I said I believed Carver-Columbus had laid evrything on the line against NSWR. I didn’t think they had anything left when they played Baldwin. Well 22-0 Baldwin. I remember how Perry HS did the same thing against NSWR. A team that was expected to go to the dome this year. They have loss most of their games since. I am not saying playing NSWR is bad luck because this happens to a lot of teams that lose sight of the entire season by focusing too much energy on one “must beat” team.

By Graysonfan2

September 19, 2008 11:53 PM | Link to this

I just want to say, Im not a Norcross nor a North Gwinnett fan, but what happens to Norcross in the second half of a game is killing them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was so excited to see Camden play at the Dome, seeing what a great team they were last year against Grayson in the third round. At first Norcross was handling them, the second half came and Camden dominated. I was at the Grayson game tonight, but heard the score after the first half and thought hmmmm maybe Norcross will hand it to them, but noooooo they fell apart again in the second half. I dint know if it is true or not, but what ive heard what makes a second half team is almost death ridden practices. SO I say, Norcross coaches need to step it up a couple notches at practice. Hope its not to late in the season for them. If you guys could play a whole game like you do in the first half, you could take it all!

Recap on the Grayson game.

They had me worried the first quarter, then I figured out why they were beating us up on the pass. As soon as #16 OLB came into the game, the passing on the strong side stopped. Why o why want anyone throw a ball towards that kid? And why o why want anyone run towards him? Did you even notice 3 of our linebackers including #16, had casts on their hands? The only reason South scored at all. Got to hand it to Polasik he did some great throwing when he could. Second half (which Grayson has that down), #61 and #45 started getting through the line and was stopping everything. Grayson, we are proud of that defense, injured or not you guys are beasts! South beat them selves up the second half, tooo many turn overs, again some hard hitting from that Grayson defense knocked several balls loose.

49-14

Lowndes is light years better than last year. The defense is unreal. Lowndes played without its biggest offensive lineman but you couldn’t tell. Oh did I say the defense is unreal. This is the fastest team Lowndes has ever had and man did they show up to play on all cylinders tonight. Something tells me that every one is going to be a little extra fired up in 1AAAAA to play Colquitt this year simply because of their big name coach. That’s just a hunch, but Lowndes was juiced tonight. Lowndes defense is unreal!! Welcome to 1AAAAA coach.

It’s funny how certain people on here were trash-talkin’ Northside about their AAAA state titles and saying just wait until you have to play in 1-AAAAA. Now that we kicked Valdosta’s butt, we now hear that Valdosta was over-rated anyway, and just wait until Lowndes gets Northside. Lowndes is a great team and should be favored (they are ranked #1, after all), but we’re not scared of them or any other Region 1 team. Lowndes may win but they will know they have been in a fight. Northside won’t roll over for them like Colquitt Co. We’ve got to take care of business and beat a good Houston Co. team next week, so Lowndes isn’t on our radar screen for another week anyway. So, for now, how ‘bout some chest thumpin’ for the Eagles, and we are glad to show 1-AAAAA what Northside football is all about!

Well it wasn’t pretty but what counts is the final score…EAST PAULDING 17 & McEachern 14!!!

East made WAYYYYYYYYYYY to many mistakes tonight, throwing an interception on their own 10 or 12 yard line that 2 plays later McEachern scores a TD on, then moving all the way down the field with nice plays only to fumble inside the 3 yard line and give the ball BACK the the Indians.

Hats off to McEachern…they brought their “A” game and played HARD ALL night! They got some BIG kids on the line and a VERY fast quarterback!

HUGE CROWD was at “THE BONEYARD” for this game and I think we stayed on our feet most of the night. This is what it is all about, but at the end THE CANNON HAD FIRED JUST ENOUGH and the scoreboard showed that the “village” known as McEachern had fallen to the RAIDERS from EAST!!!

Next up the Marietta Blue Devils…the invasion continues thru the villages of Cobb…that’s not thunder Marietta, that’s cannon fire getting closer each day!!! GO RAIDERS!!!

Mistermak and other Camden supporters: It seems to me all you guys want to do is throw your darts at Northside from the weak east coast. Go play with your Savannah cream puffs and stay healthy for the playoffs. Sounds to me like you guys are worried Northside’s gonna pass you in the polls again.

Clash of the Titans in 2 Weeks…Northside vs. Lowndes……Lowndes is #1 in state and at home…so I guess our poor little eagles will fly into town wounded and take our licks..but don’t be suprised if we swoop down and snatch up a Viking to take back to Warner Robins!!!!!

*TuckerAintShyte * Let me see if I understand what you’re saying… except for Tucker’s excellent defense (3 picks), Miller Grove would have won the game. LOL. You failed to mention that two of MG’s scores came on kickoff and punt returns, so obviously Tucker’s special teams need some work, but Miller Grove’s offense except for one short drive in the fourth quarter failed to move the ball at all. The heart of the Tucker team for the past several seasons has been its defense. Yes the offense at times has struggled, depending on big play runs by Davis and Calhoun to put points on the board. The coaching staff refuses to open up, even when Miller Grove (and NSWR last year) loaded the box and dared them to pass. I agree that Tucker does not deserve a #1 ranking at the moment, especially with two blue chip players out of action until the playoffs. Todd should award that honor to Westside this week and bump Tucker to #2 barely ahead of Mays. Yes, SW Dekalb seems to be improving after stumbling around in their first two games, but they’re still putting up points against the region cupcakes right now, so it doesn’t mean much until they get to Marist and Chamblee.

#1 EAGLE FAN When has NS-WR not been the only undefeated team in Houston County? I love WRHS, but that’s not saying a lot these days. You may have one of the longest undefeated streaks in the state of Georgia. Think big…

To all the NSWR fans enjoy it while you can because i can promise you none of you guys will be bragging after the upcoming Lowndes game. Please don’t get it twisted, Valdosta is no LOWNDES! So please don’t start calling out Lowndes just because you guys beat Valdosta. That game you played against Valdosta was Checkers, this game against Lowndes is Chess. So, go ahead and bring it down a notch before you guys drive south. I promise the result won’t be the same as the Valdosta game. The only thing thing the Eagles will be swooping down on is this butt whipping Lowndes got waiting on you. And i will be so glad because i’m sooooo tired of hearing how good NSWR is and that they belong in this region. Trust if you guys are trying to measure us up by the outcome of the Valdosta game, well you all have lost already.

Alan you should put those names in bold so they know that you’re calling them out first of all. Second of all you guys are feeling good right now because of your win against Valdosta. Congrats, but don’t let it go to your head. The polls don’t mean much. All that matters is the last team standing no matter what the polls say. Will you be that team? Also I don’t know if Camden Fans are too concerned with NSWR. Lowndes is more on our minds…..I admit. You’re still a little fish in a big pond to us. I’ve asked around…..believe me.

Give em a little break Vikings Rule they know their place in the region. NSHS does belong in 1AAAAA and obviously is good enough to occasionally take home a region crown. They will represent 1AAAAA very well this year as the 2nd place team from 1AAAAA and will give Camden all they can handle in the 2nd round of the playoffs at Camden. NSHS will be a force to be reckoned with come playoff time. If Lowndes were not so loaded this year I would give them their due as possibly winning the region title this year. If Lowndes gets any better than what we saw last night (and I believe they will as it is the mark of a McPherson coached team) then all I have to say is WoW! Lowndes has now outscored it 4 opponents 165-7 and pretty much playing the whole bench in 3 of those games in doing so. I personally am glad to have NSHS aboard and say “good job” to a well earned victory last night.

I agree with “viking rule” you can’t compair Lowndes or all of region 1AAAAA to Valdosta. Everyone in this region knows that Valdosta is no what it used to be. As many of you guys on this blog have said time and time again “that was in the past”. Lowndes is in the present. We look forward to a good game. We don’t want a “blow out” just a win. ;-)

ATTENTION ALL: Northside is one word, not two, and it is not hyphenated. When you use abbreviated initials for the school, please use NHS not NSHS.

Northside Fans understand that Valdosta, although good, is not comparable to Lowndes. Last nights win was big for us because it was our first win against Valdosta ever. Lowndes is the current 5A state champ and is #1 until someone proves otherwise. We respect that but we will show up away.

All these blogs are about are Lowndes, NSWR, Valdosta, Camden. I like all those teams, but were are the Brookwood, Parkview, Norcross, etc. people these days. It only makes since I would be interested in what they all have to say.

Lowndes has been defeated in the past they will be defeated in the future, all the trash talk won’t help them on the field. NHS has tradition ,two straight state titles, and has been tested already, you better buckle up your chin straps because NHS defense is the best in the country. We won’t say anymore but see you on the field. GO EAGLES!

ALL NORTHSIDE HIGH SCHOOL FANS/ Sorry if i offended anyone in my blog earlier. We all have one common goal and that’s the love for the game of football, as well as team spirit, and pride for our programs. I’ll be the first to admit that a little trash talking can be fun, but i’ll also be the first to disagree with degrading comments, or remarks. So, yes i agree with YO, i wasn’t trying to imply that NSHS doesn’t belong in our region, or that they’re not a good team. I love my team, but if NSHS beats Lowndes i’ll be the first to step up and say Congrats

yo that is assuming that Camden makes it to the second round of the playoffs…..and that NSWR does too. I’m not a believer in counting chickens before they are hatched….or whatever the saying is…..

CamdenFan the chickens will hatch….start counting them and making plans. Camden will be there and I have my eggs on NSHS being there too. If NSHS isn’t there then that means somebody better than them from 1AAAAA or Lowndes will be there because Lowndes came in second in the region.

Camden Fan, Yo, Slalom 1, and others. The one thing that NSWR lacks is a good QB. If one thing that going to interrupt an othwise good season, it will be at that position. I can’t imagine what Coach Nix was thinking of—-I know QB Scott’s dad was principal of NSWR but this about winning not loyalty to him. Nix has six or seven other former QB’s he could have developed since their 9th grade year but he moved them to other positions. Scott is a good kid but no QB. in the number one slot. God help us if we didn’t have an outstanding defense.

The last couple of years NSWR has been a AAAAA sized school playing down in AAAA classification; Valdosta has been a AAAA sized school playing up in AAAAA. Maybe Valdosta should join Camden and form their own AAAA region.

to: NSWR Valdosta FYI a team may play up but they cannot play down in region play…. those are rules not choices…… NS has not had the numbers and Valdosta has had the numbers and if they did not have the numbers they can still play up, but a team CANNOT play down… you can find the ruls on the GHSA web site and the number on the GDOE website…. once again FYI

camdenfan if you mean Lowndes in Camden then don’t get your hopes up to much. But if we did come somehow we would come as a much better team than when we showed up in 2003. And as I remember both of the times we showed up in 2003 it was all out wars. This Lowndes team is much better on offense and defense than that 2003 team (in fact it isn’t even comparable). Plus it would mean there might be someone better than Lowndes in 1AAAAA if we came in second in the region and you definitely don’t want that.

yo I’m trying to decide if you are talking smack or not…..I haven’t decided. Anyway I’m just thinking about 2007 and how that game turned out……very disappointed. Camden didn’t show up to play. I don’t care about the 2003 team…..since that was 2003.

Yeah, Tucker dodn’t play that well tonight. However, defense looks great after giving up only one TD knowing that Miller Grove’s other points were a punt return for a TD and a kickoff return. This reminds me of the washington game last year when we were coming off a 13-7 win over previously undefeated Mays. We beat Washington 21-14 in OT the next game. This may have just been a let down looking ahead to Marist next week. Tucker will come out, just wait. And didn’t Southwest DeKalb barely beat Miller Grove as well?

Any questions about Northside football comgin from any Valdosta Wildcat fans? The Wildcats were outcoached, outplayed, and simply outclassed in every aspect of the game.

Next week, we face Houston County HS, a program that has NEVER beaten Northside. The following week, Northside faces Lowdnes County, a team that we have owned.

All of this chatter about Northside being outmatched by Region 1AAAAA teams is absurd. Northside continues to do our talking on the field of play. 34 and counting! 34 and counting!!!

If I remember right, McEachern also fumbled on their own 4 yard line and had a field goal called no good, even though it looked like it was good to everyone in the stadium but the one official. He happened to be the same official that threw every flag of the night, including a BS pass interference and a phantom holding call on the Indians at very crucial times of the game. Furthermore, it just so happens that he was the official that was on the EP sidelines all night…..HMMMMMMMMM

Tust me, I say all this with no allegiance to either school. I just went to the game to see a hard fought battle, which it was. Good luck to both teams.
