Girls - Fab Frosh
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
Here’s my all-freshman team for Gwinnett:
Caroline Adams, F, Providence: Could break Becca Lightfoot’s records
Lauren Coleman, F, Parkview: Excellent rebounder
Briana Jordan, G, Greater Atlanta Christian: Extremely quick, has star potential
Aysia McKenzie, G, Wesleyan: Good distributor sees floor well
Chaney Means, G, Greater Atlanta Christian: Strong athlete with nice pullup jumper
What do you think of my choices? Who did I leave out?

Briana Jordan is awfully athletic, probably comes for her genes as Brian Jordan’s daughter.

The biggest omission is that fact that you left out the rest of the metro area, it’s only Gwinnett. Yall need to stop reporting on high school sports like only one area (Gwinnett) exsist. Kendra Long at Mays, Alisha “Show-n-Tell” Andrews at Avondale, and Kaliddah Miller at Douglass. Why do you continuously ommit Dekalb and the city when it comes to giving recognition. All you do is shower Gwinnett with all of the love and attention.
How about MENTIONING these other girls or the fact that the region with St. Pius X, Mays, Marist, Tucker, and SW Dekalb is the best in the state, or mention the seasons Stephenson, Towers, and Westlake girls’ teams are having and how Avondale has been playing with a rash of injuries to key players. The Best in the country is Maya Moore and Collins Hill period, I ain’t gonna front on that she’s the the best female player in Georgia in the past 25 years probably ever (of course Teresa Edwards is the most decorated and accomplished). But the future and deep talent well is in Dekalb.

Jeez… pay attention to what you are reading and comenting on. Write Curtis Bunn and ask him to do an all freshman team for Dekalb. Bet you won’t get anyone from Gwinnett complaining that they were left out.

I think you are right one the money with your selection of Brianna Jordan! She will be a face to watch she is very talented! I konw she is Brian Jordans daughter but I believe she may have recieved some of her basketball talent from her mother, who played D1 college ball! At any rate she has proven to be really good whatever her last name is! GO BRIANNA ?? !

I know it says Gwinnett and I really don’t care. I believe in COMPLETE coverage of the teams and players in the ENTIRE metro area and I get sick of Gwinnett getting this special indvidual county spotlight ALL of the time, in EVERY sport. Whenever there’s a chance to add on or bring others some attention I’m going to do it. Even when it means giving 3 kids (from the city) that I know and coached against, some attention and publicity they deserve just as much as the girls they mentioned, cause I know they’re just as good.
