Did Barack Obama’s choice of Joe Biden or John McCain’s picking Sarah Palin have any affect your vote?

I think McCain’s selection of V.P. was a slap in the face to all women - as if there are no smarter, more qualified women to choose from. Sara Palin has a jovial personality, and I’m sure she was a wonderful PTA Pres. however, we’re talking about the V.P. for our country and she simply cannot pull off the day to day professionalism and does not have any qualifications to be a heart beat away from being our leader. The prank pulled by the radio broadcasters in Canada proved this point. If you listen in it’s entirety there was absolutely no professionalism in the Governor’s office in handling the call in the first place, and after the “nailin Palin” comment she merely chuckled. There should have been a clear slam of the phone, not to mention RED FLAG, but no, the call went on for a couple or three more minutes, with more insults to boot. McCain’s selection should negate in American’s minds any patriotism and respect for this country he says he has. This only shows to me he wanted a woman on the ticket to take over Hillary’s votes, and his sarcastic way of thinking this was in his back pocket is totally disgusting and he shouldn’t be allowed to hold any type of public office simply for his sheer lack of concern for Americans.

Sarah Palin is more qualified to be vice president than the democratic choice to be President. All Obama has ever done is run for president. At least Palin was a state governor.

Women wouldn’t nominate the most viable female candidate in history, Hillary, so it is no surprise they are dissing Palin also. Sad.

McCain picking Palin as his running mate solidified my vote to Obama. It wasn’t just because she’s under qualified and unprepared. It was McCain’s lack of good judgement and his motivation behind his decision. His decision to pick a running mate that he admits to not even knowing just doesn’t sit well with me. If he’s not even going to take the time to research his own VP choice, what else doesn’t he have time for?

Sarah Palin is simply not qualified and though she may be one day. She IS NOT today! This has nothing to do with her very conservative views because I share some of those but I love this country too much to vote for someone because they’re pretty and have the same beliefs as I do. The country deserves more and the people deserves more. McCain should not have picked her.

Loved McCain in 2000.

Then he moved right.

Still liked him enough to vote for him.

Then he picked Palin.

Considering his age, you have to consider the VP choice. She’s too far right, and too inexperienced.

Of course, Obama is inexperienced too, but I have to hope that he leans on Biden when needed.

I can’t believe I’m actually going to end up voting for Obama, but it seems like the lesser of two evils.

McCain interviewed Palin months before he announced her as vice president. He knew about her daughter before anyone else in the press did. He knew exactly who he was picking. The fact that she is not scared to buck against her own party as he has done on many occasions, is one of the main reasons that he chose her. Her strong will as a successful business woman, wife, and mother were all more assetts in her favor. She has made many executive decisions, budgeted billions for her state, faught the oil companies, and had the natural gas pipeline constructed.

And, Obama has done what? Oh, voted with his party 100% of the time and voted present the rest. He has let his aunt live in poverty here in the states. Why didn’t he share some of his wealth with her? Now he wants to bankrupt the coal industry? Electric bills will triple and who do you think will pay for that? The middle class for sure. Yeah, he will bring change alright. Don’t say I didn’t warn you.

Obama’s selection of V.P was a slap in the face of people with at least half a brain everywhere - as if there were no candidates less full of themselves, less wrong about every issue that this country faces, and less likely to lie through their teeth as soon as they open their mouth to speak.

To Sherrie and Bob, I agree with both of you. Early in the election, I was on the fence until the VP choices were made. And with all things considered, the Democratic ticket is stronger. And Bryant, NO candidate really has the experience for being President, BUT if you are trying to compare the inexperience of Palin and Obama, I’m sorry but Obama would at least make intelligent choices and appoint high quality advisors, from what I’ve seen of Palin I’m not sure she would be able to handle the role of VP, let alone President.

Have you people ever actually listened to what Biden says and compared it to common sense much less the truth?

I have been listening to all the comments .. Everyone has “VOICE” there nothing wrong with that. This world don’t belong to none of us. If you or your child need a heart or your going to stop and ask what color is it. We all need each other in so many ways. As for who win Georgia doesn’t really matter. Ask yourself..”Did you have a “CHOICE” on what color of your skin would be? The answer to that question is no. If we were to be same it would have happen. No man is above God no matter what color his skin. Think of all the different races are dying for you and I can sit here and ask like we are so high and might. All color skin lose there life everyday. And you true American don’t care about the 4,000 men and women that have die for you and me. For a war that was never should have happen. How many son and daughter have to tie before we understand the true meaning of America.

Joe Biden is not only NOT qualified to be VP. He is a LIAR. Listen to his sound bites just before the Democratic Convention where he hails Hilary and says Obama is not qualified to be President…..then Obama picks him as VP running mate and all of a sudden Obama is the King of the World. Get real, people. We don’t need liars in public office, especially in the White House. We’ve had enough already! And the stuff coming out about Obama now reveals he is a FRAUD. We just may see that too late.

Yeah… Sure Sarah Palin is more qualified to be Vice President because she was a one term Governor of Alaska…. Alaska… Come on…are you people serious.

Well, Joe Biden certainly proved himself a blowharded doofus as billed. But historically, the experience, or lack there of, of the presidential candidates has always taken precedence over the VP. So why the difference this year??

Oh yeah…, the progressively corrupt media’s agenda. Of which, 98% clearly have already affirmed Obama as the next president. America’s first affirmative action president, custody of the progressive MSM. Who disgustingly ignored, covered up, misrepresented, dodged and what ever else it took to smooth over Obama’s negatives while attacking McCain. ABC, NBC and CBS ran a total of 69 stories on Palin after her introduction. Two were deemed positive. Twenty-one stories portrayed Palin as unintelligent and unqualified, 14 characterized her as John McCain’s attack dog and nine emphasized attacks on Palin by conservatives. Not one evening news show ran anything positive about Palin.., nothing, zippo. Journalistic integrity is obviously not a part of American’s primetime median.

So what ever else we may have learned this year, one thing is for sure. This experience has clearly shown Americans that the corrupt MSM, AJC included, will put their agenda ahead of truth.

Matt, the way I see it is that if McCain did not know who he was picking, then he made a bad judgment call. And if he did know exactly who he was picking, then he made a terrible, cynical, pandering ploy of a VP pick. And a bad judgment call. Either he didn’t vet her, or he vetted her and said, “Screw it. I need someone who’ll reignite the culture wars and fire up the base while maybe, just maybe, pulling a few Hillary voters over. Basic understanding of the Constitution or of policy either foreign or domestic not required.”

She bucks her own party only when it allows her to advance politically and she tends to stab her mentors in the back in the process. Those billions she budgeted for her state came from fighting the oil companies — specifically, from a windfall profits tax that for some reason is appropriate for Alaska but socialist if implemented for the rest of the country. And that natural gas pipeline? Not built yet, and it may not be ever.

Obama voted with his party 100% of the time? When you’re up against the GOP that’s a good thing. His aunt? Really? The half-sister of the father he didn’t really know? A woman living here illegally? If he’d been giving her money you’d be clamoring that he be charged with facilitating illegal immigration.
