No. The debates have not influenced how I will vote not even in the slightest. My candidate(unconstitutional) is not on the ballot. But my position of the cadidates was clear way before the primaries. John McCain supports the invasion of Iraq, he is not qualified to be president. Senator Obama is clearly the better candidate, however, I will not be voting for him neither.

The debates are a useless idea and should be done away with. The candidates do nothing to inspire us, they just use the time to name call and brag about what they have done in the past. They need to be reminded that they have no real power and they like all politcians bow down to the rich lobbyist. Debates are useless and a super waste of the American publics time. Clean up this country and stop worrying about all the other countries. We need more help then any of them.

The series of debates only reinforced and supported my decision to vote for Obama. Let’s face it, I have not prospered under this Republican regime and I can’t afford to go through another four years with another Republican administration.

No. It only proves that Obama can only speak to the Democratic Party’s talking points.

Leroy’s comment was very ignorant! How can you pick something before you even know it?! And if you haven’t been able to see what they said, then how do you know what they have said about their plans? I know it’s on their websites, but they can say it in much plainer english on TV. And I agree with M.H., how can you trust a man to be our president when he won’t salute our flag, and who doesn’t even remember whether or not he is a Christian?! I have no problem remembering I know the Lord, and He is my Savior!

FYI, the Dems have been in charge of the house for the past several years, so don’t go blaming everything on one party

Janelle’s comment is exactly the problem! She is blaming the Republicans when prior to the Bush Administration,,,,,,oh yeah, that was Clinton, hmmmmm, that was a good one! everyone blames Bush for the Iraq war, but oh yeah,,,,Clinton brought that one to the fore front, Bush was trying to clean up what Clinton started!

No, but debates are still essential to the race for those who may be undecided. They should also have a situation where they display the resume’s of the candidates side by side. I think the whole world would see that although Obama is a great speaker, that is all he is - his experience is zero. If Obama and McCain’s parties and view points were flip flopped and Obama was a republican, there is still no way I could vote for him in good conscience because his lack of experience and his willingness to say anything to any crowd in order to get a vote.

No, the debate will not influence my decision as I have already voted. Whoever wins, there will be millions who say, “I told you so” or “I didn’t vote for him.” Okay, people vote your conscience. Either way, this election will be history.

Not at all. Debates are largely “dog & pony shows” for the uninformed sheeple who’re hoodwinked by the Globalist Elite controlled “mainstream” media. In the case of “Juan McAmnasty” vs. “Bacrock Obuma”, we have two Globalist puppets acting like their really on “opposite” sides (in order to further dupe the lemmings into believing there’s a true choice). Both of these sellouts have sold their soul to the Globalist Elite & therefore given a middle finger to our Constitutional Republic (especially the Middle Class). For anyone who understands what’s really at stake, they’d cast a for neither of the two sides of the SAME coin.
P.S. - The best options are Constitution Party candidate Chuck Baldwin, LP candidate Bob Barr or write in patriot Ron Paul!

No, My love and respect for this country (that I served) will only let me vote one way. Also, everyone talks of Palin’s inexperience but at least the one without experience is #2 on the republican ticket and not # 1 like on the democrat ticket.

Just because someone has served in the Armed Forces doesn’t mean he/she is qualified to be President of the United States.
McCain fails to explain how he will approach issues. He continues to say that, Americans know me and my record of what I can do. I’m an American and I don’t have a clue what he has done for the US.
I do know that he supports BUSH and that’s not good. We continue to have economic problems but he doesn’t have concerns about that because of his OIL and Multi-million dollar wife….
The color of the skin doesn’t matter, all that matters is we can’t have another 4 years of BUSH…

No, I would never vote for B.Hussein O’Bama, not in this life or any other life. Tax and spend, tax and spend, tax and spend. If the Dems want higher taxes let them sent a big check to the IRS instead of O’Bama’s campaign. Everyone one wants something for nothing and O’Bama has promised that he will take care of everybody except the rich, which is every small business owner and individual making over $250k. Dems don’t get ecomonics. The more you tax the less employees a business will hire b/c they have to make up the loss due to the higher taxes by laying off or not hiring workers. Wise up Dems!!! Everything is not free in life. Who’s going to pay for free health care?

The debates don’t really have an impact on my decision, mostly because the canidates act like school kids calling each other names, and making inappropriate gestures(McCain). If I were to vote, it would probly be for Obama because from what I’ve gathered froms the news and internet, and listening to both canidates and their VP picks, I feel as that Obama is the lesser of the two evils. However, I feel, since the electoral college picks the president, and not the Ameriacan people, (as past years remind us that the electoral college does not always go with the majority of Americans) I feel voting for the president is a waste of my time, If I wanted to have an impact on the election I will participate in local/state elections because these are the peole who actually elect the president. Neither canidate would be my 1st pick for president, they’ve both participated in things I find a little on the shady side myself. I feel like both are out of touch with the average American. Both lack the experience and intelligence to run our country especially in one our nations greatest time of need. I will appalud Obama for his excellent speaking skills, and critize McCain on his ridiculous and inappropriate facial expressions. On the other hand, I will support McCain for his moral support of our troops, and critize Obama for his use of troops only for photo-ops. Both have had escapades with questionable people, both have changed their views on certain subjects, both have rhetoric to apeal to get votes. What we have to decifer through all of this is who is most likely to get some of what they promise now to actually happen the way they say it will.

I’m a little confused. Let me see if I have this straight….
If you grow up in Hawaii , raised by your grandparents, you’re “exotic, different.” Grow up in Alaska eating mooseburgers, a quintessential American story.
If your name is Barack, you’re a radical, unpatriotic Muslim. Name your kids Willow , Trig and Track, you’re a maverick.
Graduate from Harvard Law School and you are unstable. Attend 5 different small colleges before graduating, you’re well grounded.
If you spend 3 years as a brilliant community organizer, become the first black President of the Harvard Law Review, create a voter registration drive that registers 150,000 new voters, spend 12 years as a Constitutional Law professor, spend 8 years as a State Senator representing a district with over 750,000 people, become chairman of the state Senate’s Health and Human Services committee, spend 4 years in the United States Senate representing a state of 13 million people while sponsoring 131 bills and serving on the Foreign Affairs, Environment and Public Works and Veteran’s Affairs committees, you don’t have any real leadership experience. If your total resume is: local weather girl, 4 years on the city council and 6 years as the mayor of a town with less than 7,000 people, 20 months as the governor of a state with only 650,000 people, then you’re qualified to become the country’s second highest ranking executive.
If you have been married to the same woman for 19 years while raising 2 daughters, all within Protestant churches, you’re not a real Christian. If you cheated on your first wife with a rich heiress, and left your disfigured wife and married the heiress the next month, you’re a Christian.
If you teach responsible, age appropriate sex education, including the proper use of birth control, you are eroding the fiber of society·
If, while governor, you staunchly advocate abstinence only, with no other option in sex education in your state’s school system while your unwed teen daughter ends up pregnant, you’re very responsible.
If your wife is a Harvard graduate lawyer who gave up a position in a prestigious law firm to work for the betterment of her inner city community, then gave th at up to raise a family, your family’s values don’t represent America’s. If you’re husband is nicknamed “First Dude”, with at least one DWI conviction and no college education, who didn’t register to vote until age 25 and once was a member of a group that advocated the secession of Alaska from the USA, your family is extremely admirable.
OK, much clearer now.

Yep, it solidified my belief that Obama can memorize and spout leftist party rhetoric. He is inexperienced with the principal players, his foreign policy will get us into major trouble, he’s ineffective as a world dominating leader. Not to mention that he DOES have ties into questionable areas in parts of the world and will NOT salute the flag of the country for which he wishes to lead. That ALONE is a huge bellringer for me. The debates merely restated the same party rhetoric I heard during the 1960s. Nothing changes but the mouthpiece. IF he has nothing further to say than to repeat the SAME (exactly the same) lines over an over, then why speak at all?
For this reason, I’m casting my vote for JOhn McCain. As is the case with many, my personal candidate is not running, so I had to really digest these two. After only hearing the same quotes day in and day out from Obama that I heard in the 60s, I decided we need McCain.

No, it only reinforces my stance on voting for McCain. I totally agree, why raise ANYONE’S taxes at a time like this?
I couldn’t help but laugh when he said “I’m not Bush. If you wanted to run against Bush, you should have ran 4 years ago”

Dear Joe The Plumber,
Both candidates really seemed to care a lot about your situation. I would like to point out that I do not. I don’t care what you have to say. You are stupid, uninformed, and dishonest. I deduced this because you argued with Obama on a false premise (that you make over $250,000 annually), you lied about your “undecided” status - you clearly favor McCain, and you are a plumber. Politicians and lawyers are known to be liars, but I think we have all been conned by one plumber too many to go for this line of reasoning.
I would like to say to the honest plumbers of the world, don’t be offended. Some of you are honest and the overwhelming majority are hard working. But you know many of your brethren like to take advantage of people when their toilets are leaking. And in the Bush economy, who can blame you? It is getting tough to make a buck out there.
So Joe, take a hike. And when your taxes are reduced by Obama - I hope you enjoy it. Buy yourself some more Sean Hannity books. It has clearly led you to be very well informed.
I say good day.

The bottom line: McCain’s claim only works by using an overly broad definition of what counts as a “small business” - and even with that definition, fewer than 2% of business owners would be hit by Obama’s proposed rate increase. For those who are affected, the increase would be levied only on a part of their earnings, not all of them.
The article wrote that Joe the Plummer can only employ 5 employees at $50,000 per year before he is hurt by Obama’s tax plan. Please get an education before you start posting mindless comments. Quick accounting lesson. Gross Receipts (Everything you take in) - Expenses (outlays of the business for production of income) = Net Income. Employees salaries are expenses which you take from the total money that you receive in order to determine your net income. Net income is what is taxed. If Joe made $1,000,000 in gross receipts and paid $800,000 of wages to employees the net income that he would be taxed on would be $200,000; below that $250,000 threshold that you are oh so worried about. Also on your flat tax idea, another uneducated comment. Do me a favor. Look at your paycheck, figure out exactly what you pay in federal income tax (don’t add in 401K contributions, state taxes or any other taxes), take the total you pay in federal income taxes and subtract from that the money that you receive back in your refund. Take that number and figure it out as a percentage of your total salary. I’m willing to bet it’s between 10 and 15%. Now go do some research on a flat sales tax and see the rate proposed if we were to have a flat tax. Flat tax advocates estimate a 20 to 25% sales tax should be implemented on everything you buy. For the average american paying 10 to 15% of thier wages for federal income tax this isn’t a good idea. Why would you want to pay a higher tax rate? If you are in a very high income tax bracket then this would lower what you pay in taxes and be a good idea. Everyone has the right to views and opinions, but please make educated decisions before you start shooting things off that you heard from someone else.
