Obama was on the defense all night and did not answer the questions. He was too elusive for me to trust what he would do in office. I think My vote is changed tonight. He never stated where the money would come from to pay for all of his programs he wants to support. He never stated that he would be agressive against a country that would attack our allies. He scares me.

I think Sen Obama made thebetter points in the debate. Sen McCain never said anything new and I have actually always liked him.

McCain lost the debate right there on the spot.
“Health care is a responsibility, not a right.”
Any doubt about McCain’s upcoming second place finish on November 4th was erased right there.
It’s OVER for the bitter old man.

Obama won this debate, his is more cool calm and collected even when McCain was saying unfavorable things about him. McCain also seemed very up tight and on the defensive. I also didn’t like when he called him that one or something other than by his name. It showed frustration, and basically made Obama seem less than human. That is sad.

To everyone ready to vote - before you go and cast your vote - please understand what you are voting for. You are entitled to your opinion, but at least have an educated understanding of the issues. That being said, I am very tired of seeing these straw votes, opinions of these so called experts, why - because they are all media outlets. People, in case you don’t know, the media is as liberal as they come and will support Obama in every fashion possible. Do me a favor, just report the news, not report your opinion to support a democratic vote - let the people decide - they don’t need your spin on things. One final note, each administration puts its policies in motion and the incoming administration has to deal with it. So before you blast this current administration, understand this will be the first time if Obama wins, that the president and Congress will have at least 2/3 representation - naturally Obama’s policies will get passed with little resistence - meaning this country won’t have its checks and balances in place - hopefully we will not be paying for his decisions four or eight years from now. I promise you this, everybody is about to vote based on media and what they hear - when was last time anybody really did any research - if you do that - I think the choice is quite clear! McCain ‘08.

Anyone who follows politics beyond superficial soundbites knows that McCain has a sometimes plaguing issue with temper and I think that showed tonight. He came across as nervous, and even a bit rude with the “that one” comment. A president needs to be calm under much greater pressure than a debate and I think Obama clearly was more presidential, believable, and more understanding of the issues.

Any one else notice how McCain was scared of Obama?
Obama never took his eyes off McCain. And McCain was so unnerved he couldn’t sit still! Fidgeting and stumbling around like a broken down OLD MAN.
Obama whipped the old man on national television. I almost felt sorry for the bitter old fool.

The debate tonight was definitely NOT what I expected. Everyone said the “gloves will come off” and that did not happen. Americans deserve definite answers for the future and not what has happened in the past. If you are middle class, Obama won. If you are upper class, McCain won.
We watched the debate on CBS. At the end of the debate the camera stayed on Barack and Michelle Obama more than anyone. She seemed to work the crowd as well as Barack. Was this deliberate or did the McCains disappear?

Obama without a doubt won the debate and hopefully win the presidency to the highest position in the US. President Bush and the Republican party has practically ruined our economy, ruined our credibility in the international community. So now its time for Mr. Obama to make the infrastruce changes that we need so bad in our country.

First I would like to say that it remains clear who has more education and intelligence. When we talk about experience, yes McCain has been apart of the war but lets not twist the facts, he was not the hero- he was captured- the person who saved him was the hero. It is clear that Obama can clearly answer the questions and provide actual and factual proof. McCain on the other hand reverts back to his senility and wants to continuously talk about his days in combat, we the people of the United States are facing combat everyday- lets talk about those issues. Students cannot get financial aid, parents cannot take out loans to assist with there children’s education, the loss of jobs daily and people not being able to keep there homes. It’s time for a change and the only candidate capable of making this happen is Obama. McCain- take a seat.

McCain showed his true self when he criticized the African American man who asked a question - McCain assumed he didn’t know who Fannie and Freddie were. I felt embarrassed for this gentleman that a Presidential Candidate was condescending to him. McCain showed his true elitist nature. Obama won this debate as he did the first. Obama was Presidential. McCain appeared to be an old man as he moved around the stage - an angry, old man!

Nicole let me be clear the reason we are in this finacial mess is because we gave loans to people who couldnt afford them so if you need a loan now you can get it you can get it if you have made the right decision to pay your bills. The responsability lies squarly on the person not the government. Also how can you vote for someone who says healthcare is a right. We dont even have the right to vote but we have so many government educated people in this country like nicole we are in big big trouble

Hey Patrick, did you consider that we NEED democratic leadership in the country to undo the damage done to us by unchecked republican greed and power for the last 8 years? We need Democrats to restore the constitution and get the economy on track again with good, common sense regulation. We also need to raise taxes to repair our infrastructure and make our schools competitive again. Republicans don’t know how to do that. They give you unassailable rhetoric for impossible goals. And don’t even give me that line about higher taxes meaning lower job growth. Your side has had 8 years, and THANKS TO YOU, we are on the verge of a new great depression. I recommend that YOU stop trying to tell people what to think until you have read some books and pulled your head out of the sand.

This debate was remarkable in that a lot of what has, before tonight: been secretive about the U.S. war on terror, the candidates exact positions for or against other world nations has now been openly dicussed. Most remarkable however, neither candidate could explain a clear understanding of how our country ended up ‘shooting our selves in the foot’ as the world’s economic engine that is now hitting on less and less cylinders, nor could they give us a solid solution. John McCain made me feel more confident he was the better leader of the two choices.

Obama won that debate hands down! This county is ready for change and Obama is the man for the job. McCain is out of touch with the now because he is so stuck on the past and pandering on his accomplishments. Obama sticks to the facts and delivers a measurable plan and timeling as to how things are going to be done. You tell me which would you rather be president, A Harvard Graduate who finished at the top of his class, or a slacker who finished 894 in a class of 900 in military school? The decision is clear! What in the world is racist about saying “That one.”?
That is a concise and usual answer to a question.
Which one? That one. Which student? That one. Which car? That one. Which building? That one. Which house? That one. Which plate! That one.
Maybe liberals are not allowed to say “That one.”
By Elephant Whip

McCain lost. Two examples:
Example one: claiming that he will directly answer the question (supposedly contrasting himself with Obama) and then blowing ambiguities:
MCCAIN: Sure. Hey, I’ll answer the question. Look — look, it’s not that hard to fix Social Security, Tom. It’s just…
BROKAW: And Medicare.
MCCAIN: … tough decisions. I want to get to Medicare in a second.
Social Security is not that tough. We know what the problems are, my friends, and we know what the fixes are. We’ve got to sit down together across the table. It’s been done before.
I saw it done with our — our wonderful Ronald Reagan, a conservative from California, and the liberal Democrat Tip O’Neill from Massachusetts. That’s what we need more of, and that’s what I’ve done in Washington.
Sen. Obama has never taken on his party leaders on a single major issue. I’ve taken them on. I’m not too popular sometimes with my own party, much less his.
So Medicare, it’s going to be a little tougher. It’s going to be a little tougher because we’re talking about very complex and difficult issues.
My friends, what we have to do with Medicare is have a commission, have the smartest people in America come together, come up with recommendations, and then, like the base-closing commission idea we had, then we should have Congress vote up or down.
Let’s not let them fool with it anymore. There’s too much special interests and too many lobbyists working there. So let’s have — and let’s have the American people say, “Fix it for us.”
Now, just back on this — on this tax, you know, again, it’s back to our first question here about rhetoric and record. Sen. Obama has voted 94 times to either increase your taxes or against tax cuts. That’s his record.
When he ran for the United States Senate from Illinois, he said he would have a middle-income tax cut. You know he came to the Senate and never once proposed legislation to do that?
So let’s look at our record. I’ve fought higher taxes. I have fought excess spending. I have fought to reform government.
Let’s look at our records, my friends, and then listen to my vision for the future of America. And we’ll get our economy going again. And our best days are ahead of us.
Example 2: (and the reader can look up the transcript on CNN) On answering the question on how to deal with Pakistan, McCain tried to emphasize his superior experience and skill as a tactician and THEN PROCEEDED TO PARAPHRASE OBAMA’S STRATEGY AS IF IT WERE HIS OWN DISTINCT STRATEGY.
This explains why McCain and Palin have stooped to ad hominem campaign tactics.
If McCain/Palin win, we are doomed.

Don’t you know ANY negative comment against Obama will qualify as racist.
Wait until he takes office. Anyone who opposes his policies will be branded a racist.

McCain won this debate easy because he is accustomed to being a leader. It was obvious.
There was ONE who got flustered and fussy and complained. TOM BROKAW…He was not a happy man. When Obama broke the rules and wanted to say more, Brokaw stopped him and went on with the rules. That was the most excitement of the night.
McCain will probably win the next debate just as easy. Who? That one!!

Yes, everyone needs to do their research on both candidates, and not only on their policies for upcoming election. For one, media is biased towards Obama, that is why the cameras were on Mr and Mrs “for the first time in my life I am proud to be an American” Obama at the end of the debate. Two, Obama wants to socialize healthcare…Just ask any Canadian if what they think about socialized healthcare. Three, if Obama taxes higher income, you can rest assure those business owners will cut jobs to keep their earnings up. If McCain wins, he will squeak by and the Obama supporters will say it was fixed. If McCain loses, the Obama supporters will have their “man” in the white house to take care of them. I really don’t like either candidate, and am saddened that the presidency for the great country of USA has come down to these two politicians. I truly think neither candidate will be able to do anything about the economy off the bat, which should be our greatest concern. One last thing……To everyone that works for somewhat of a living these days, how do you feel about the Obama supporters going to the Dekalb Co jail and registering 400+ inmates to vote for Obama…To think your vote matters no more than that of someone who cannot abide by the laws that the most of us do.

I thought Obama did a great job in the debate tonight. He definitely has the american people’s interest at heart, he will make things fair and better for everyone. Not just the wealthy like McCain and Bush. McCain was so STIFF that if he made a sudden move he was going to fall apart. I’m surprised he made it through the debate. MCAIN: “Oil drilling offshore now is vital so we can bridge the gap between imported oil … and it will reduce the price of a barrel of oil. … We’ve got to drill offshore and do it now.”
THE FACTS: The government estimates that opening the Atlantic and Pacific coasts and eastern Gulf of Mexico to drilling “will not have a significant impact on domestic crude oil and natural gas production or prices before 2030.” Even then, it would only increase domestic oil production by 3 percent.

OBAMA won. He continues to sincerely speak honestly from the heart and soul. His confidence bears entirely true.
Frankly, we’ve had more than enough of the “status quo, elitist, white priveleged, good old boys club”. Obama seems committed to the middle class workhorses of America.

This race is over. Obama easily won the debate. The McCain-Palin ticket are going to take a beating that is worse than the thrashing that Dole-Kemp took in 1996 and not quite as bad as the Mondale-Ferraro ticket received in 1984 from Ronald Reagan.
I predict a Electoral College landslide. Illinois Senator Barack Obama 379 Electoral votes and Arizona Senator John McCain 159.
One more thing, Obama is going to win Georgia. I thought that was impossible about 3 weeks ago. One of my best friends works for Senator Saxby Chambliss in Washington. They are so concerned about the early voting numbers that they have sent every staffer back home to Georgia. They are so worried about how weak John McCain is, they are losing sleep over Jim Martin. You have to be kidding me! I was unaware that Jim Martin could even win a statewide election.

I have always viewed the Republicans as winners. I am shocked that the GOP made this guy their nominee. He is irratic. He struggles mightily staying on message. He lacks forward thinking vision (as evidence by selected Sarah Palin in an election dominated by the US economy with Mitt Romney just sitting out there with nothing to do OR evidenced by him making the claim on Monday that the fundamentals of the economy are strong with President Bush asking for $700B 4 days laters).
The GOP could have beaten Obama easily with Mike Huckabee, Mitt Romney, Jeb Bush, or an energized Fred Thompson. John McCain has to be the worst choice for Presidential nominee that the Republicans have ever nominated in my life. Gerald Ford was the sitting President and Bob Dole had a story and vision (he was a leader as Republicans took over both cambers of the US Congress for the first time in something like 40 years).
McCain brings nothing to the table. This chatter about being an American hero. How get shot down in Vietnam and returns a hero, unless your father and grandfather are retired Navy admirals. Seriously. How in God’s name are you a hero by being shot down in Vietnam? Are you kidding me? There were no Vietnam heros.
Dwight D. Eisenhower is a hero. General George S. Patton is a hero. General Norman Schwarzkopf is a hero. General Colin Powell is a hero. John McCain is a US Senator and the worst Republican nominee since pre-World War II.
I don’t want to hear about a maverick who has been in the Congress for nearly 30 years and was a part of the Keating 5. It would have been a more intersting debate to hear a real Republican go up against a Democrat (Obama) and talk about the different ways each would restore our economy, energy policies, health care, and address out foreign policy. All we have is an old angry guy who does really know how to articulate Republican principles along with his sidekick from Fargo, ND, I mean Alaska, who doesn’t know anything. The interview with Katie Couric was scary. Seriously. To think that woman could be a heartbeat away from the Presidency is scary. I am certain that I am smarter than Sarah Palin, who went to 6 colleges before graduating from the University of Idaho with a journalism degree. Scary.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. Barack Obama is karmic revenge for the Supreme Court screwing Al Gore in 2000!
By stopping the count of votes and essentially appointing Bush president, the SCOTUS set this country on a path that would lead it to a place where a Barack Obama would be possible.
It’s time for conservatives(in both parties) who not only enabled Bush, but failed to correct their mistake in 2004, to accept the consequences of their political choices.
I’d like to thank the conservatives for governing so horribly when given control of all three branches of government. The country is now ready for such things as universal healthcare, energy independence, fact-based education, and other progressive policies all lead by a smart ,cool, unflappable, African-American man.
Tough luck for McCain, he used to be the kind of inspiring politician that Obama is now. I wish him well.
For those of you who don’t have it in you to accept Obama, that’s ok, you still have time to think about it and cast your vote on the correct side of history. Even though you are disappointed, many of you scared because of your belief system, you should still be very damn proud of our country.
On November 4, 2008 the United States will once again demonstrate why we are the greatest country on the planet.

You can’t vote for Obama because of the company that he keeps. What about the company that John McCain keeps? Are people aware of just how shady the Savings and Loans scandal was. This guy, McCain, is neck deep in the middle of it.
McCain’s is a maverick and crosses the aisle when other come along with him. There is no way this guy can lead in Washington. Look at how the bailout deal blew up in his face.
McCain says that he has a record. He has a record of getting not knowing what a Republican is. He is a military affairs Senator and that is it.
I was perfectly fine with McCain until he played politics with our nation and chose Sarah Palin. I have not been so sickened by a poltician since the Mondale-Ferraro fiasco. Thaere are far too many challenges here and abroad for politicians to play political games.
Palin may be the dumbest and most unprepared candidate on this stage in history.

John McCain again exhibits all the qualities of a man who has been polluted by Washington. He is toast.
Like Georgia_Independent, I believe that Obama is going to win by a landslide and win Georgia. The GOP in Georgia will throw in the white towel on the Arizona Senator.
It’s over. Why can’t McCain explain how he is going to get the economy moving? McCain actually implied tonight that he would infuse another $300B bailout in addition to the already $700B approved by Congress. Was I the only person that heard it?
This guy has officially lost it. What I wish is that we actually had a candidate out there who could say he (or she) stood against the Bush administration, who increased the size of the Federal goverment more than any US President since the Great Society. It has been insane. Now, McCain is going to attempt to scare me with the Big Government claim towards Obama. No one has made government larger than George W. Bush.

and if anyone notices i would like to mention speak on the real truth for now on not only if the candidates have the right mind of thinking to get the peoples votes because yes that is very important, but notice how the mccain team lies and isnt as truthful as they really are. constant lies for one and another they are not REAL super fake: is someone who knows the truth but spreads false propaganda to the public. is someone who speaks on another person about false information when they are the ones needed to be checked. Is someone who talks about family value and told America to keep that when he couldnt keep that as he got older and cant keep it under control with his daughter LOL DAMN like like an old biology book CONSIDERING THE FACTS

The GOP could have beaten Obama easily with Mike Huckabee, Mitt Romney, Jeb Bush, or an energized Fred Thompson.
Uh, this would be not true.Go back and look at polling done throught the primaries and you will see that Obama winning by a landslide against everyone but McCain. Clinton would’ve beat them all by much smaller margins with the exception of McCain.
No way the country would be voting for another Bush, I mean comeon now.
No, the Republicans nominated their strongest candidate and, well, we see what the results have been.No Republican was going to be able to win this time around, because they have governed so poorly.

John McCain did a very poor job keeping his overwhelmingly condescending attitude under wraps. Obama appeared calm, presidential and more intelligent than McCain. Also, McCain obviously could not hide his inherent and deep-seeded racism and prejudice with the “that one” comment and the horrible “bomb Iran” parody song. I’d rather risk putting a person who might need a little “on the job training” in office rather than a racist who will mirror the last eight years.

Idiots….all you care about is “that one??” Give me a break. Obama is a pompous elitist…he already believes he has won…did you not hear him say he hopes to have blah blah accomplished by the end of his “first term”?? I swear our forefathers are rolling over in their grave. This man is going to tax the hell out of you…regardless of his false promises…if you are homeless…you’ll be homeless after he is elected. If you live above your means….he’s not going to bail you out. He associates with crooks and liars which makes him guilty by association. His wife is not first lady material either. It’s not racisim, it’s fact checking. You mindless lemmings are going to vote in a total affront to all that is American. If you want Socialism, move somewhere else. People died to give us the freedoms we have today, but you want government to “save you”. You should have to take the citizenship test in order to vote. This is nuts. God Bless us all.

Alright— so many completely insane ideas you’ve proposed here, my friend. “That one” is just as important as any other minute detail every conservative pundit that you probably worship harps upon. It is a telling insight into what John McCain is all about. People very rarely let you see themselves for who they really are— a lot of people believe that this was a moment like that. Pompous elitist? John McCain talked down to every American voter during the entirety of that debate. He addressed us like we were 5 year olds. Plus, he was down-right nasty to Obama through a vast majority of it. The American people don’t like that. The polls show that Obama clearly won by our standards. Not to mention Cindy McCain’s $300,000 wardrobe she wore to the RNC and 9 cars and homes they own. Barack Obama is the elitist, though, right? Give me a break and slip away from the Republican talking points that you’re spoon fed by Sean Hannity every single pathetic day of your life and absolutely refuse to question.
The Heritage Foundation (in case you never heard of them— you probably never have— they’re one of the single most conservative organizations in the United States) found that over 100 million American families (there’s about 250 million Americans) will benefit under Barack Obama’s tax plan, and lose out on John McCain’s. That’s unbiased analysis right there— they have a “What would Reagan do?” section of their webpage for Christ’s sake.
One thing you need to understand is that more than 50% of Americans feel the same way that Barack Obama does. This is our America. We’ve stood by for 8 years as George Bush completely trashed “Give me liberty of give me death” with his insane policies. If you honestly believe the lie that Republicans are for “small government” and that Democrats want to be saved by it, you’re sadly, pathetically mistaken. I have two words for you: Patriot Act. John McCain voted with George W. Bush 95% of the time during his stay, and those are the facts. Go jump off a bridge.
I think you need to stop accusing people of having no idea what they’re talking about and saying that you have all of the answers. It comes off as kind of arrogant and elitist, you know? Especially when more than 50% of the United States feels the exact same way that I do.

McCain won.
I watched it twice. The first time around two things (beyond their answers stood out) McCain’s voice was shaky and Obama spoke too long without clear direction. The second time around it was very evident that McCain had clearer answers, his voice wasn’t as nervous as I thought and that Obama is playing a prevent defense which is not wise.
My quesiton is whether it was good or bad that Ayers and Wright weren’t mentioned? Maybe that can be the lead off question next time.

Get ready folks, here it comes. We have heard Bush called everything under the sun; we see the anti-Bush bumper stickers, the so called celebrities Bush bash and it’s all the latest rave. Look above you at the multiple post over ” That one” and get use to our future. No white man will ever be able to criticize Obama once he is elected, never! Every criticism coming from the mouth of anything other than another black will be considered racist. Blacks will never sit back and allow Obama to be judged by the same ruler all other Presidents before him have been judged by. Every negative word against Obama will be construed into a racial slur. It’ll be the same old ” You say something about one black and you’re saying something about all proud black men of Amercia…” We’ll hear the term ‘racist remark’ more times in the coming four years than we’ve heard it in our liftimes. Do you realize how many times we’ll be dealing with this crap..over and over again…? We’re doomed.

What da hell was Matt Watching @ 10:55PM?
OBAMA repeatedly said we would not stand for IRAN getting Nuclear Weapons. He repeatedly said that we would Defend our interests abroad and with Israel. He Repeatedly said we would put pressure on Pakistan to deal with Bin Laden and if they don’t do it, we’ll get him ourselves. He repeatedly said we would not stand for Russia continuing their offensive to get back to the old days of the Soviet Union. What program was Matt watching? And this guy is allowed to cast a vote? If you don’t like Obama just say you don’t like him. You don’t have a POT TO P** IN when you say he never answered questions. All McCain can do is recall his experiences with Dead Presidents and Army Generals. This man has no clue in the land of the living.

Unless the people awaiting trial in the county jail are convicted as felons prior to the election, they will have every right to vote. That is Georgia law. Felons who have not served their sentences to include parole, probation or any other form of supervision are not eligible to vote. With Republicans in control here in Georgia you can bet your bottom dollar they will try to change that law. Mock my word. I smell a voter roll purge brewing. Remember Florida.

I wonder what debate some of the commenters were watching? I was waiting for McCain to have a temper tantrum.
With the way McCain was twisting Obama’s words (“Obama says he will attack Pakistan!”), I don’t blame Obama for trying to set the record straight. McCain came across to me as desperate and agitated by “That One!”

McCain said it all, check Obama’s voting history and that will tell the truth. He has great speeches but his past does not back it up. Obama did say attack Pakistan you moron, and Obama did not twist McCains words. People like this idiot are why Obama may actually have a chance, they do not care about facts, they think Obama is thier favorite college team. I was waiting for McCain to elaborate on Obama’s terroist connections and talk about how he is using his race to divide the country and try and win an election. Obama= More taxes By the way the definition of a small business is more than 200k a year, what a retard statement.

Knowing I would watch the “after-show” commentary (on all channels) and see the high points today, I didn’t watch the debate last night!! Yippee! I needed a break from it all, and gave myself permission to pass.
But, from what I’ve seen, McCain just can’t stop with the disdain, stand-offish, trying to be forceful approach—but it comes off as nasty, arrogant and rude. And his vacuous pitbull Palin has adopted that same role. This tone is part of the problem.
I hope when Obama gets elected (yes, I think it’s over for McCain), that EVERYONE will tone down this public venom that is so readily apparent in our society. We, as Americans, won’t get anywhere as a country if this nastines continues. Stop it. Show some kindness toward each other. Don’t always be eager to jump to the contrary before even seeing how something is proposed or will work.
Those of you who listen to Rush Limbaugh and the like, for three hours a day, are listening to someone b** and moan and spew venom 2-3 hours a day. It is polluting your spirit and your hearts. Stop it. We’ve got major issues to deal with and we must do it together. What kind of person spews venom for 2-3 hours a day!? And why would you listen to that?
McCain not even looking at Obama in the first debate, and now he and P are digging back to stupid stuff is not the direction this country needs to go in. America is better than this; it’s time we start acting like it.

Somebody has to pay the piper for the 8 year reversal of the surplus that we had. We cannot spend our way out of the deficit as McCain is suggesting. This election is not about partisan politics. Both parties have had ample opportunities to do the “right thing” and both have failed. This election is about choosing the candidate with the most experience… If you were about to take a plane ride and you knew you were going to have engine problems and have to fly through thunderstorms only to land on a short runway in mountainous terrain… Who would you pick to fly the plane? McCain lost my respect when he let loose with “That one…” in referring to SENATOR Obama. It was too apparent that he was being disrespectful and millimeters from dropping a derogatory (racial?) term. In his frustration, he showed his true colors. Next he’ll be saying ‘you people.’
Also, PLEASE tell him to drop the “my friends…” crap. He is not my friend and is doing nothing to make me want to be his friend. I teach my children to show better respect for people regardless of what they may personally think of the person.

My opinions and obervations:
I’d rather see the homeless and convicts voting than having a Supreme Court decides who won an election.
It is constanely stated that Obama talks about the past but if I’m not mistaken I do beleive that Bush is still the president so he is actually speaking of the present and extermly recent and current events.
As far as the “that one” comment is concerned a world leader should not address nor talk about an adversary without using their proper name or title. It’s a good thing he dosen’t want to talk to our enemies with his limited vocabulary and dismissive attitude. The Secret Service would find themselves in a physical alterations because “that one” might be considered fighting words to some.
It looks to me like the first act of a McCaine administraion will be to pardon Palin for crimes commited in Alaska. Who in their right mind picks a running mate who is under investigation for any reason. McCaine’s judgement in this choice, putting aside any other complaint about her, only shows that he is the one who doesn’t check the company he’s keeping.
As for off shore drilling, the first hurrican in what are now up to 15 storm seasons will shut down production so much it will make $4.00 a gallon gas look cheap once we go down that road.
Cindy McCaine is a homw wrecker. Talk about past associations lets talk about that. That husband stealing, $300,000 outfit wearing beer heiress helped break up his marriage to a women who had been disfigured in an accident. No wonder they like “Joe Six Pack” so much. Every beer brought gets her more expensive out fits, eight more homes and 13 more cars. Is it any wonder the rich get all the tax breaks. I don’t begrudge anyone with money but don’t pretend you know what average guy is going through.
As for not being able to criticize Obama because he is black, this is coming from a group of people that anytime (until now) someone said a word against Bush you were called unpatriotic. I’d rather be unfairly called a racist than unfairly called unpatriotic any day. That the biggest insult you can call any American. You might well not be a racist but most of us were right about Bush.
Finally taxes. I know everyone on this blog that are McCaine supports makes more than $200.000 a year (I Bet LOL). You folks remind me of the wives who stand by their no good man or mother’s who take up for their rotten kids. You take up for the people who have ten times more than you and making sure you stay just where you are economically, in other words the one hurting you the most. I’ve been in the work force for over 30 years and I don’t know of any small business that makes only $250,000 a year that employes over two people if that. Most of us work for corperations. LLP’s and large companies. These businesses make upwards into the millions otherwise you would be working alone at you station. Wake up people and look out for all Americans.
Enough said except to say my life time resume includes the fact that my Dad was a disables Koren War Vet, my Husband is Retired military and My only son is current serving in the U. S. Air Force and just recently returned from Iraq.

I am DISGUSTED by John McCain’s snide, condesending and disrespectful comments and actions during the second debate. He should apologize PUBLICALLY for his racially, condesendingly, disrespectfully charged “that one” comment. If Sen. Obama had said the exact same thing to him, it would be all over the news and people would be demanding an aoplogy. Well, I, as an American DEMAND a PUBLIC apology from McCain.
The notion that someone who uses such poor judgement in his selection of words is indicative of how he would lead. It is obvious that he has NO REGARD for black people.
By his making that statement, and the Palin “terrorist” statements show just how low some white people are willing to stoop.
We really have come a long way, and have found out that we’re right back where we started from.
