OMG! Who gives a “shout out” during a vice presidential debate? People ew deserve much better than this! Stand up and demand your rights, for goodness sakes I my teen could have done better. And next time ( which ofcourse there won;t be one) try and stop winking! If Senator Biden would have been winking that way people would be screaming and calling for him to step aside.

This questions reveals the BIAS of the liberal media.

Governor Palin did NOT say anything during the entire debate. Nothing!

She spends all night Ignoring the question and firing off a string of non-responsive non-sense.

And here comes the AJC asking “Who had the best line of the debate?”

John McCain is right. IT’S NOT FAIR!

You can’t win a fight if all you do is run, dodge, duck, hide and do everything imaginable to avoid the challenge.

She went the distance. She didn’t get knocked out.

But she didn’t win a single round, much less the match.

She just danced the night away hoping she wouldn’t fall on her face or get hurt. She did it. She survived. But she did not score a single point, much less win.

Jennifer,

On your list of education you fail to mention the numerous schools that McCain attended in the Military starting with Naval Aviation school. Sitting around editing the Harvard Law Review does not equate in any measure to the skill, knowledge and just pure courage of landing a jet aircraft on the pitching deck of a carrier, in the dark, on a rainy night in the middle of the ocean with deadly weapons on board. By the way that’s what they do in peace time. The job is a lot harder when people start shooting at you.

Also,

Great Debate, I’d vote for either one of them over Barack

For Joe Biden to say tonight that Obama is the best man for the job but all during the debates he said that Obama was not ready to be president….talk about the ultimate flip flop!!! I just wish that Sarah when into the foreign policy category wouldve brought up the line in one of Obamas books where he said he would stand beside the Muslims if it came to that. The lets see Biden weasel his way out of the truth of that one.

Biden’s “Bridge to Nowhere” was brilliant. Palin sure didn’t like hearing that comment, after all she basically stole that money from our Government - she never gave it back. It was like watching a brilliant teacher ( Biden) debate with a 3rd grader…

Jennifer, do you really think a college education really matters? Many of the greatest leaders of business including Bill Gates don’t have a college education. Try this on for size: One candidate is a lawyer married to a lawyer. The other candidate is a war hero married to a beautiful blonde brewery heiress. Nuff said.

Biden had the best lines because he answered the questions. Palin appeared overly rehearsed and several times never answered the question. I also liked Biden “Bridge to No Where” line. I also like when Biden dismissed McCain as the Maverick. Palin’s most enjoyable line when she did not know whether she was for or against gay marriage. Her look was speeechless - crickets, crickets, crickets.

GOV. PALIN???? She never answered the questions. When you take a test in life be it by paper OR in computer or however….. . “Answer the question asked of you from this scheduled debate.” How in the world can anybody say she won or kicked butt??? I kept counting the times she said the word ENERGY on other questions asked of her, and I lost count. If you look back at the debate re-runs, her rehearsed cheat sheet kept her on the energy crises and one liners. THIS IS NOT A GAME SHOW , OR BEAUTY CONTEST DAMMITT!!!!!! IF A WAR BROKE OUT ON HER WATCH. SHE MAKES ME THINK ALL SHE CAN DO IS LEARN HER LINES AND NOT BE PREPARED FOR A REAL EMERGENCY ON THE NATIONAL STAGE,,, SAY AGAINST IRAN?????

I was flat out annoyed by what Palin was saying after the second question. It was almost like a broken record over and over again the “one more thing about the environment” shut up already. I was on the fence before this debate now I would be afraid now that if something happened to McCain that Palin be the president yikes. Would she be giving shoutouts and winks to the other world leaders. Wow

listening to the bantering back and forth, not much was definitive until the mention of money after the election. palin talked about credits to insurance (which has gotten completely out of control and unless you are in the mood to tackle socialized medicine, your vote is not need right now), in the annual amount of $5,000. Which could be reasonably complemented by a family who WORKED FOR A LIVING and purchased health insurance. Then biden announced a more immediate gratification that sounded like “40 acres and a mule”. how so democratic.

How can people seriously not be questioning the McCain health plan unless they simply don’t understand it? It doesn’t benefit workers. I doesn’t benefit business. It benefits insurance companies and ONLY insurance companies, and it will leave MORE Americans uninsured than the 50 million Americans who already are? Is everybody ready to go into bankruptcy over their medical bills like millions of Americans already have? WAKE UP, PEOPLE! This plan will have a PROFOUND

I’m not clear that I understand Americans who say Palin won the debate or did a fabulous job, or even that it was a draw. Quite frankly I think this debate displayed the nasty partisan discourse that seems to define the Republican party. Palin talked through her teeth, behaved smug and cocky and she said very little that wasn’t rehearsed or had substative value, and was often incorrect on her points. This is truly sad that there are those out there so polarized that they cannot possibly see through this shallow, unintelligent and uninformed performance. She did not answer very many of the questions put forth to her, she constantly attacked attacked Joe Biden and came across as an “angry woman”. As a woman watching I was very disappointed. But the icing on the cake was when she talked about the position which she is essentially vying for, to have more power then it currently does under Cheney. This from a person who could not discuss any specifics at all or even understands what the job is she is going for. This is just a sad day for the Repubican party if this is truly the best they have to offer. Let’s pray that intelligence, knowledge and an ability to listen prevails in this up coming election.

What you witnessed last night was nothing more than someone (Sarah Palin) who had been coached on what to say. It was obvious that she was advised to sway her responses toward what she had done in Alaska if she was not familiar enough with the question. She evaded more questions than she answered directly.

The media casted Bidin as a “TYPICAL” Washington Politician because he answered the questions with clarity, direction and a sense of purpose. While Palin was seen as a “Fresh New Voice” on the topics of discussion. Now if you compare this to the Presidential Debate. McCain was glorified for his stance and ability to touch on all the points as a “SO-CALLED” experienced statesman for Washington. While the media casted Obama as someone who was inexperienced and not having the ability or background to touch on all of the points. Therefore, I find it difficult to understand why these American Political Experts refuse to recognize this lady as being INEXPERIENCED. If anyone is bringing new ideas, and new solid approach to Politics, then that has to be Obama. BUT……..he was categorized as being inexperienced.

It is and was very obvious that Palin does not have the knowledge to be elected as our next VP. This lady was obviously sat in a room with several top Republican debate specialist who taught her how to evade the questions, and shift her answers to make it seem as though she was knowledgeable. She stumbled to begin her rebuttle toward Biden, and often stated, “well that is a good question, but I AM GOING TO TALK ABOUT……..meaning I DON’T KNOW THE ANSWER TO THAT QUESTION, BUT LET ME TALK ABOUT THIS INSTEAD…….PALIN was coached very well……..and

What you witnessed last night was a puppet (Palin) on stage who may as well have had an earpiece in her ear as an NFL quarterback does on ANY GIVEN SUNDAY

The Republicans are relieved at Palin’s performance last night.

The best analogy to this siutation is an airplane in flight BUT the landing gear will not come down; therefore, everyone is expecting it to crash, but they manage to land safely on the belly of the plane

Now my question to America, “Do you immediately put that plane back in the air……..or is it obvious that the plane needs a lot of work and needs to be repaired.

Republicans………….you have less than 30 days to REPAIR that broken Palin plane, and I am sure that is one plane I would not FLY on in 30 days

All the winking and saying nothing showed just how stupid she really is…Joe took a bite out of her several times…the bridge to nowhere…after she used Maverick all night he told her McSame was no maverick.

The bar was set very low for her that is the only reason she jumped over it. If Sen. Hillary Clinton did all that winking and saying nothing the media, GOP and dems would be all over it saying she had a bad night. Palin is dumber that a 5th grader

Go ahead vote Obama…but here’s what you are going to get:

  • Increased taxes
  • Increased Unemployment
  • Government healthcare (we already have Medicaid who wants to stand in line to see a doctor?)
  • Unstable Middle East
  • An economic downturn the likes we haven’t seen since the depression (this past week was nothing).
  • Democrats prey on the poor and uneducated. I guess we have a lot of that going on. Wake up, a house and a cell phone are not guaranteed by the constitution. They are about CHANGE all right, CHANGE in the wrong direction. I printed out the Blueprint for America so we can hold him to task when all of his promises go empty. Funny how it doesn’t mention that 95% of Americans will get a tax break in that. Funny how it doesn’t mention the money he received from Lehman, Freddie Mac and Fanny Mae…just goes to show the stupidity of the American people. I think you should have to take a test on the issues in order to place a vote.

Hey White Trash with Money, I’m glad you noticed Biden’s “batman’s bad guy look”. I kept thinking there’s something weird about his face…you nailed it. On the debate I thought that Palin did a fairly good job considering as she pointed out she’s only been in this race for a little over a month. Biden’s been in this race for I forget how many times and lost. I also agree with Denise’s assessment. If Obama gets in there we are in BIG trouble. But as I’ve said before when he screws it up he will be given a pass as he inherited “Bush’s 8 years of bad economic policies” That comment is so old. They really need to come up with a new one.

Go ahead vote McCain…but here’s what you are going to get: what you have had for the last 8 years.

McCain’s health plan would greatly reduce the number of people who obtain health insurance through their employers.

Substandard schools since evident by McCain not been forthcoming in detailing any education plan

The really ridiculous and somewhat depressing thing is: These four nitwits that are running are the best we have to choose from.

Plus blogs and press like this, where the interest is in “one liners” and ignorant that this crap is being shoved down the American people’s throat as the best leaders (most popular) we can elect. Is America really this gullible and stupid? Truly, Sad.

The best thing is “W” will be gone, and no I am not a liberal or a conservative. I am one of those rare independent voters that is disgusted with both dominant parties and doesn’t see a viable alternative. I wish the Libertarians would clean up some of the wackier planks that they walk on.
