Oh, no! More debates?
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
Clinton has already challenged Obama to more debates. Oh, no! I’ve got severe debate fatigue.
Can’t take it! One more bone-numbing discussion of the intricate details of their health care plans, and I might vote for Ron Paul!

Sorry listening to candidates discussing and defending their policies is too taxing. Oh, wait, you’re an Obama supporter. That explains a lot. Just go feel good about him like Oprah says. Why think?
And I hope this is a ringer posting this question, not Cynthia Tucker. If it is her, she should give her Pulitzer back. What the h3ll kind of journalist asks this question? It sounds more like a trailer trash fool complaining because politics interrupted his NASCAR.

It’s too early in the morning (and in the Primaries) to be grumpy! Besides, that’s Jay Bookman’s job. :)
More debates are inevitable, but don’t expect the content to change much. All of the debating, and the best of intentions, will mean nothing unless Washington collectively re-learns the ability to fight the good fight and to compromise. Politicians will say just about anything if they believe that doing so will get them (re-)elected. These debates are essentially job interviews, and we all know that we’re supposed to be on our best behavior during job interviews. Unfortunately, we voters have developed a tolerance for mudslinging and extremism. Everybody wants to stand out, and for today’s body politic, that seems to mean staking out diametrically opposing positions and “standing your ground.” Facts? Better and more complete information?? Acknowledging that sensible people can disagree??? “Why do that? It’ll never get me elected!” Here’s to hoping that the candidates are wrong about that…
My greatest hope is that we never again end up with Congress and the White House controlled by the same party. The Sensible Center needs to get itself in gear, and that means being able to compromise in favor of the greater good.

I think Ron Paul would make a great VP. Everybody would know up front that after Cheney, he won’t be in a position to exert much influence.
On the up side, he’ll say a lot of things that need to be said. That’s a vast improvement over what we have now!
