Johns Creek needs a logo
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
No one said crafting a city logo was easy. Just ask the city of Johns Creek.
Other than the river, Johns Creek lacks any defining geographic features, history, or personages. The current logo was hurriedly crafted by designers with CH2M Hill-OMI, the private company hired to provide the city’s services day to day.
So, Johns Creek leaders turned to the collective wisdom of its residents for ideas. They received tons. Most were serious, many idealistic. A fair number of Johns Creek residents identify with terms like family, forward-thinking, technology, state schools of excellence, high-end residential development, and responsive local government.
What do you think? Let us know your suggestions for the city’s logo.

I can’t think of a logo off the top of my head, but here are some visualizations to ponder:
Think of congested intersections full of SUV’s and mini-vans. In the background, you see a bunch of strip malls with nothing but dry-cleaners, nail salons, and women’s fitness centers. also, be sure to exclude sidewalks, curbs & gutters, they don’t exist in John’s Creek.

How about a collection of people with their heads in the sand alongside a stretch of road? Pretty much says it all.

JC should worry about getting its house in order and being responsive to its citizens instead of worrying about a silly logo.

Many classy villages and small cities have a photo as their logo. Take a look at the Village of Barrington Hills’ logo. www.barringtonhills-il.gov/
