Be thankful if you didn’t go downtown today

If you live in Northside and work or have business downtown today, you have our sympathies. For the rest of you, it’s one more thing to be thankful for.
Because of the crush of big events, among other reasons, the main expressways into downtown were jammed today. Even 75 backed up past I-285. (It’s normally the stretch north of I-285 that gets socked in with traffic in the morning.
Once you get off the expressway, surface streets are jammed, and parking is difficult to navigate.
If you were among those stuck in the mess today, you can vent here.
If you were not, smile to yourself and be thankful. It’s Friday AND you’re not stuck in a logjam.
