Time to move on

Well, fans, it’s been three years since The Hawks Hack made its debut, and it’s time for me to hang up my mouse.

Oh, don’t worry, the column will continue. Ajc.com will find another Hawks Hack (or another title) and continue to provide you blogging entrees with a fan’s perspective.

To all of you who gave me actual criticism and loved talking about Hawks basketball, I say “Thank you.” To the rest of you who just like to yammer on and on,…well…let’s just say you won’t miss me and I won’t miss you.

I know a lot of you think that this blog is a piece of cake. All I have to do is watch Hawks games and write about how bad Woodson is or how the Hawks break down in the second half, right? Well, if it’s so easy, then maybe you ought to do it. :)

I will continue to be a fan of the Atlanta Hawks and who knows, I might even see you at Philips Arena.

Take care, Hawks fans and thanks!

you know I do not know who to blame for the hawks falture because Billy Knight did’nt get the player the hawks needed in order for them to tranfrom into a playoff team if Mike woodson come back will it be the same where player not paying attenion to what he asking of them to do, would Avery Johnson be a good chose to success Mike Woodson

I am not sure about Melo. I am equally concerned about what a player brings off the court and on the court.

Are you kidding? I can think of 10 fellow bloggers at least who are not only willing, but able. And some of us have been doing our own versions for the fun of it.

Climb down off of the cross and stop trying to be such a martyr. By the way, you wouldn’t happen to be that tall fella (oh, about 6’8” or so) that has showed up to some of the games and doesn’t want to identify himself….would ya?

I’m with richbracve, “Stay away from MELO hawks”. There’s a reason Pistons took Darko. They knew a hack was better than a head case. lol

By chicago should take him

I think that the Hawks have a great team of players. I like Mike Woodson but I think its time for him to move on. My suggestion try to hire Avery Johnson for head coach and sign Josh Smith and Josh Childress to multi-million dollar contract, don't let these two young players slip away from the Atlanta Hawks organization.

Hack, your final post was a special day in my life.

No, not because you are hanging it up. It was the day my first child, my daughter Kiera, was born.

It’s ultimately telling that your final submission, after 4 weeks, generated a grand total of 15 responses.

Good luck to you as you return to whatever comprises your primary existence. It’s OK if you want to dismiss the perspective of your critics. At the end of the day, the proof will be in the pudding, as whomever replaces you will either confirm your belief that this is harder than it looks, or simply confirm that you lacked a compelling enough voice to generate any type of discernable response.

I think the essence of your nearly invisible presence, over the previous years, is underscored my your statement:

“I know a lot of you think that this blog is a piece of cake. All I have to do is watch Hawks games and write about how bad Woodson is or how the Hawks break down in the second half, right?”

By focusing on the painfully obvious, you confirmed that you literally brought nothing new to any conversation related to the Hawks.

It seems that the consistently, and exponentially, rabid following of Sekou’s beat blog, despite the very relevant fact that he must straddle a very fine line, as it relates to daily relationships with the Hawks’ players, front office personnel, and ownership group, is sufficient evidence that your Casper-like presence, as the representative “fan” of the Hawks, is less about how hard this role is, and more a clear indication that you just weren’t the right man for the job.

Don’t go away mad……

Listen up, idiots! You guys just love to kick a man when the chips are down! First Carter’s gone, now so is the Hawks Hack. And you fools just love to take cheap shots at em! You fools lack class. Good luck to ya, Hack.

To idiot #4: Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. once said, “Our scientific powers have outrun our spiritual powers; we have guided missiles and mis-guided men.”

So…idiot #4…May God have mercy on your pitiful soul. Somehow, you have become very mis-guided and disgusting! Your attempt to become the great entity that my name represents casts an ugly reflection on the person you really must be.

Listen up, fool! Don’t let your demented mind get twisted and tangled up in this game. It ain’t for ya, you handle snatchin’ punk!!

I guess I’m now dealing with IDIOT#5! You need to get a life and leggo my handle, punk.

Keep this in mind: “The hope of a secure and livable world lies with disciplined nonconformists who are dedicated to justice, peace, and brotherhood,” Martin Luther King, Jr. Words you should live by!

There’s only 1 Great Rev. Casey, and you and IDIOT#4 ain’t it, so…BACK OFF!!

Your friend, not friend

The Hawks SHOULD have hired Avery Johnson as their new head coach. Johnson would know how to maximize this incredibly athletic roster to its full potential. Woodsen isnt bad either but Woodsen is proven to be a mediocre coach while AJ has proven to be an upper echelon coach. Having Woodsen for another year means the Hawks will continually be sent to the woodshed as they will get thrashed repeatedly next year; they wont make the playoffs.

Okay, Hawk Hack, now you know the shelf life of any blog B4 the horrid trolls ruin it. I dont know why the internet has given birth to these pulitzer prize winners, but they are a dime a dozen and each one thinks that they are the answer to sports.

They couldn’t coach a nerf basketball team of incontinent senior citizens.

Perfect example in the post above. I will be the new “Hack”, watch and see. The jerks on the other blog think they’re shutting me down, but they aren’t.
