Well they finally did it. The Atlanta Hawks are in the playoffs for the first time since 1999.
Thanks to Indiana’s loss to the Wizards Monday, the Hawks are no longer in a do-or-die situation with their last two games. I wonder if coach Woodson will rest the starters a little or do what he’s been doing the whole season — running them into the ground.
Unfortunately, we have to play the Celtics in the first round , but, hey, at least we’re in.

I think this is a no-brainer. You give those starters some rest. It’ll also allow the subs to show what they can do — or can’t do. I’m wondering, though, if reaching the playoffs should give Knight and Woodson a new lease on life with the Hawks. Flip a coin. Let’s see how the team and coach perform against the Celtics.

You’re right, Clipped Wings.
The Hawks coach and GM already had a “pass” because the owners are too busy fighting among themselves.
Now, the contracts of both will probably be extended all because GM Billy went out and made a trade that he could have made last year or even two years ago.

Glad to see you tell it like it is, Hack. I just hope we’re all dead wrong about Woody and BK getting extended. That would be, to borrow a phrase from Rawhide’s Iceman blog, “UN-good.”

By hawks as Boston sweeps 4-0…U really think they will beat boston No way in hell..Cause hawks have lousey coach bad GM n players who were never pick by other NBA team u see why losin to Miami was the worst u can be..U know if atlanta beats celtics poor doc rivers be fired after series.But since we know Boston will win all games by 22pt margins!

Kevin, You need to head back up north! Have you lost your mind, players never picked by other teams. What the crap is that. Last time I checked players were only selected once! Majic Johnson once, Michael Jordan once. Your very own Larry Bird ONCE. Losin to Miami is called who cares, no need. These are very talented young players that are only going to get better. Yes, Boston has an all star team, but they better not look past the Hawks. P.S. Hawks plus Big Man next year = new monster in the east.
