Indiana loss puts Hawks in a bind

It seems that the Pacers have the Hawks number this year. The Hawks just can’t seem to win in Indianapolis (0-2 this season).

Now, the Hawks have four games remaining with a two game lead over the Pacers. The Hawks have two playoff-bound teams to play (Boston and Orlando) and two lottery-bound teams (Miami and the Knicks).

The Pacers, meanwhile, also play the Knicks, but play the Bobcats, Washington and the Sixers. The Pacers are 2-1 in the season series with the Hawks and hold all tiebreakers.

Bottom line, Hawks fans; The Hawks can’t afford to lose any more games.

your assessment does not bode well for the Hawks - if the Hawks cannot afford to lose another game then we are headed towards a colossal letdown because they will not go undefeated over the next four games - as of late it looks as though they’ve started reading and believing the press clippings - the team leaders have played too many minutes and they have exhausted themselves trying to secure the 8 spot - they may not have enough left in the tank to hold on to that spot and even if they do they will be too worn out to make any noise in the playoffs - we might as well start looking forward to ‘08-‘09 - i also want to go on record with my prediction that woody and b.k. will be back next year - as will both joshes, bibby (they will extend his contract) and david anderson the australian wunderkind who’s lighting it up in Russia**
