Hawks finally wake up when it counts
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
The Hawks and Raptors should have never gone to overtime.
Before the OT, it was a typical Hawks game story: Hawks take lead in the first, failure to adjust and sloppy play in the second and third allows the opponent to take a big lead, followed by the Hawks having to play catch-up in the 4th quarter.
If the Hawks had played like they’re capable of (i.e. like they played in the first quarter), the Hawks would have been able to hold the Raptors at bay and wouldn’t have needed OT.
But lucky for us, Hawks fans, they did need OT . They needed OT for the win.
OT was all Hawk players, it had nothing to do with the coach with the .322 winning percentage.
I’m just saying…

Again another exciting playoff style game for our young Hawks. It’s a good time for Hawks fans. It’s ridiculous that all you have to say about the game was negative. Real fans are so tired of you and your ilk complaining about this team, I feel sorry for people who have to live with you. I’m just saying….

Congradulations to the Hawks! I knew it was only so much time before JSmith came up big in the second half. The real Hawks fans don’t take about letting this kid go! He’s to valuble defensively. Shouts out to the whole team for coming together at the right time. Joe is playing off the charts lately! Him and Bibby are worth the money baby! I’m getting my tickets for the playoffs for sure!

Not every team can be Boston. These young Hawks will only get better over the next few years. Quit picking on Woodson and quit living in the past. Go Hawks.

Here’s my thought for the day. Comments please. Rookie of the Year award. All the National pundits (ESPN, SI, etc) have Kevin Durant the hands down winner. I’m sure this is based on something like endorsement monies, slot drafted, hype out of college, etc. But seriously folks. Where would the Hawks be without Horford? And where are the Sonics with Durant? Case closed.

Hey Hawks Hack, I don’t agree with your “typical Hawks game story” Usually when an opponent takes a 17 point lead in the third quarter the ending goes like this: And the Opponent cruises to victory in Atlanta.. But not last night! Give the boys credit from coming back down 15 in the fourth quarter! Yea the Hawks and raptors should have never gone to overtime.. Because the Raptors should have won! It’s just a testament to our tam that they didn’t! Go Hawks!

So when we have a big lead and almost blow it we are criticized for that and when we are behind and come back to win in OT, we are also criticized. We have got a great run going. Give credit where credit is due. Let’s try to get the town interested in the Hawks instead of underrating them.

This town is thirsty for this kind of run. This is get more exciting by the game. I think Bibby is gelling with his team mates now. I would like to think Roy Hibbert for going back to G-town, because Al Horford is the truth!
