Hawks finally wake up when it counts
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
The Hawks and Raptors should have never gone to overtime.
Before the OT, it was a typical Hawks game story: Hawks take lead in the first, failure to adjust and sloppy play in the second and third allows the opponent to take a big lead, followed by the Hawks having to play catch-up in the 4th quarter.
If the Hawks had played like they’re capable of (i.e. like they played in the first quarter), the Hawks would have been able to hold the Raptors at bay and wouldn’t have needed OT.
But lucky for us, Hawks fans, they did need OT . They needed OT for the win.
OT was all Hawk players, it had nothing to do with the coach with the .322 winning percentage.
I’m just saying…
