All good things must come to an end

The Dallas Mavericks were mad.
They remembered when the Atlanta Hawks beat them opening night, 101-94. After one game, the Hawks were unbeaten and the Mavericks were handed a loss. So, the Mavericks had something to prove.
Boy, did they.
Dallas got off to a 12-0 lead before Woodson called a timeout. After the timeout, the Hawks didn’t score until 8:59 was left in the 1st and that was a free throw. They eventually scored a FG with 8:26 left.
It got so bad, the Hawks were down by 19 at the half and Woodson was issued a technical foul in the third.
So, the Hawks ran into the buzzsaw that is the Dallas Mavericks. No problem. The five game winning streak is history, but that doesn’t mean they can’t start a new one on Wednesday against the Cavaliers.
New year, new streak.
