Utah up next
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
Nice win for the Hawks vs. Golden State in Oakland . The Hawks have now won five in a row away from Philips. The Hawks did turn the ball over a lot, though, and it almost cost them.
The Utah Jazz are next. The good news for Hawks fans is that Carlos Boozer (22.1 ppg) is out and will not play. The bad news is that the Jazz are still a good team w/o him.
The Jazz are ranked sixth in the NBA in offense (102.4ppg) and are 74.4% from the free throw line. More good news for Hawk fans: The Hawks have already beaten the NBA’s number one offense (Phoenix) and swept the season series against the NBA’s number three (Golden State).
Since the Hawks are in the top ten in NBA defense, giving up only 96.7 points a game, the trick will be to keep Utah close. If they can do that, they should be able to get another road win.

These guys are playing good ball. Our only fault has to be that we are not closing games out. But with the age of this team I guess it’s to be expected. This team is a point guard and center away from going deep into the play-offs. Keep playing hard Hawks….

You played another good game Hawks!!! Keep up the pressure on both ends of the floor and you will do fine! Stay up tempo as much as you can. Also, we are going deep into the playoff with the team we have now!!!! Watch and see!!!!

Jazz have the third best record in the NBA and there is a reason for that…

I actually think Atlanta matches up pretty well against a Boozer-less Jazz team. But asking any Eastern Conference team to win back-to-back road games on the West Coast is a tall order. For a young team like the Hawks who has already battled down to the wire on their last two road wins, it’s going to be really tough. I hope they can pull it out, but logic tells me they are going to lose.
