NEW YORK CITY - Hey, it’s moving time folks.
Like one of our former first ladies of the blog (Beyonce) like to say, it’s time to ‘Upgrade ya!”
We’re moving from our longtime home here and shifting over to the shiny new bloghood that the kind folks at ajc.com have constructed for us.
And they have informed me that we can’t bring any pets, our funky old furniture or any leftover venom Ando has for the rest of us and Billy Knight (sorry money but it’s in the lease I just signed). Everything else is good to go, including Clyde and his man-crush on Mike Woodson.
It’s a new set up that promises to be cleaner to read, your posts will hit the screen faster and your words will come out grammatically correct no matter what you write … fine, I was kidding about that last part in the hope that this new system would automatically fix my mistakes (not going to happen).
But this new deal does promise to be more user friendly for us all. So make sure you bookmark the new site (http://blogs.ajc.com/hawks/) and sign up for the Hawks Blog RSS feed to make sure you don’t miss out on any of the conversations to come.
This, my friends, is change we can believe in. So hustle over to the new spot so we can chop it up before the Hawks and Knicks get busy tonight at Madison Square Garden.
Who knows, B. might be in the house tonight, too. Maybe she wants another shot at being the first lady of the new blog?

Is it true that the hawks put together a deal for the Clippers Chris Kaman but the Hawks ownership would not allow the team to spend any money!!
What do you know about this rumor? Is this rumor true?

What we REALLY needed to do was upgrade the Hawks…by signing a big man and shifting Horf to his natural position.

I know there was a discussion Reggie. But anyone that suggests a specific package was put together is extrapolating in a major way (a conversation about certain players by no means indicates packages being presented or even discussed). That said, I flirted with the idea during a blog before the Hawks played the Lakers in LA right after the All-Star break, because the Hawks and Clippers making a deal was a rumor I reported hearing in Phoenix over that weekend. It was being discussed (as I mentioned in said blog). But clearly no deal was struck or ever close to being struck.

Everybody’s dogging GRUNFELD for the WIZARD’s woes. And so do I as far as contracts to THOMAS, JAMISON, and ARENAS go. Other than overpaying for talent however, I’m happy with the pieces he’s assembled especially the young’uns. If he gets THABEET the next WIZARDS team will be complete, and I truely believe that’s what he’s aiming for.

samuel, personally i like balance and you get it if you got an outside game as well as an inside game. i see the rationale for shooting the three. ultimately, i think it is the coach that dictates what he wants if he is a good coach. i will be happy to leave it up to the COY, wont you? i would also like to see some more finishes around the basket, for some reason we dont push it in there very often do we? why? gosh, i hate it when they cant get put backs in or settle for floaters or fail to use the backboard. coaching?

Josh smith is acting like a spoiled kid……. no effort no hustle and constantly pouting………….. 3 rebounds in 30 dam minutes tells me all i need to know, their biggest front line player is David lee at 6’10 come on this is horrible…..TANK JOB

atlanta we killin yeah da hawks in da playoffs-dats anotha reason coach woody wont get laid off-in da 1st round ya know we cant get beat-not by them pistons or the miami heat-got in da playoffs but the finals is wut we aimin fo-the bobcats neva get in like a josh smith free throw(lol)-hawks are numba 4 dats wut it say on wikipedia-so why we still aint gettin attention from the media-flip murray is great yes he do wut it do-but the superstar iz da 1 wearin number 2-callem joe johnson not joe jackson-gotta good bench but where da hell is speedy claxton-competition just gets blows away in a gust -and the first team we play gets swept like dust.
