1993? You cannot be serious …

The Hawks haven’t won in Utah since 1993?
I thought it was a joke when I heard it this afternoon.
1993?
You cannot be serious.
I still had the remnants of a six-pack (fine, a 12-pack) back then. Cyberspace as we know it was still an infant. And more than half the players on the Hawks’ roster were either still playing with Hot Wheels or they were in diapers.
How in the world could this have happened?
Have the Hawks been that bad the past 15-plus years? Have the Jazz been that good? It makes no sense.
There’s no logical reason to think the Hawks will break that trend tonight.
They haven’t played particularly well of late, including a fade-down-the-stretch performance in Portland in their last outing.
So I won’t bother throwing out the plausible scenarios that would allow them to leave Utah with a win.
Instead, I’ll just let you think long and hard about all the stuff that’s gone on since 1993 while the Hawks and Jazz warm it up.
