Ladell Hill
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
I have been interested in fitness and nutrition since I can remember. Growing up I spent a lot of time on my grandparents’ farm in Tennessee. When I would say I was hungry, they would give me raw vegetables like sweet potatoes, which are my favorite, and spinach. In fact, my biggest weakness is sweet potato pancakes at Highland Bakery.
I don’t usually crave or eat sweets, but when I do, it’s ice cream — Ben and Jerry’s or ice cream sandwiches.
I’m a certified personal trainer and focus on helping people build a strong nutritional program first and then work on their muscles. My philosophy is you can’t just build a shell; you have to eat things that are good for your heart, kidneys, liver and other organs, too
