Death penalty hearing
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
10 a.m. — the House and Senate convene separately.
2 p.m. — A bill that would allow for the imposition of the death penalty with only 9 of 12 jurors voting in favor, gets a hearing before a House Judiciary subcommittee.

I support this bill to make the change from 12 votes to a minimum of 9 voting for the death penalty.
Personally, I don’t think this decision should be left up to a jury. I feel that the judge should make the final decision. The LAW (Judge) would dictate the penalty based on the guilty verdict from the jury. The guidlines for this decision would be established by the judicial and legislative branches of government.
