So glad Falcons didn’t sign T.O.

No way the Falcons were even slightly interested in Terrell Owens. I don’t care if he would have signed for one season, he would have been a cancer in the locker room and on the sideline. This guy is a great receiver, but there’s too much drama that comes along with him. He didn’t get along with McNabb in Philly or Romo in Dallas. It will be interesting to see how he acts in Buffalo.

I’m still waiting for the Falcons to make a big signing this offseason.

The defense needs some help after losing Brooking, Foxworth and Milloy. It sounds like L.J. Smith (former Eagles’ TE) had a good visit. It would be nice to have the tight end involved in the game plan again. Alge was a huge contributor to the offense when he was here and healthy. It would be nice to get the tight end back into the game plan.

Why are you glad, the falcon didn’t sign anyone that would make me think SUPER BOWL. The falcon will never make the super bowl because of people like you. People always stop at T.O when there a problem in the locker room. I don’t see anything wrong with a player wanting the ball.

The Falcon are a good ole boy team. It takes football player to win super bowls and the management and good ole boy Fans base don’t won’t player like Ray Lewis . WHY come to Atlanta in any sport? The Media and some fans would throw them under the bus. T.O. wants to win and the falcon just want you to be the right shade as a star or they will have nothing to do with them Deion Sander and Manny others . The Facts speak for them self just look back since 1966. Foot ball player or punk pin up boys. They still have not learned. They have high hope on the new Gm pure wishful thinking ,he was very lucky in 2008. now comes the stress tests . 2009?

Come on Shun and “Falcons LOST IN SPACE” you mean to tell me that TO is innocent of everything? So McNabb, Romo, and Garcia were all out to get him? Yeah some things are blown up but not everything. We don’t need TO. Roddy White, believe it or not, is much more consistent. TO led the league in drops again.

It’s not about a player wanting the ball, it’s about how they act when they don’t get the ball. It Roddy had did this when Vick was our QB you would probably say cut him, but if TO does it it’s only because he wants to win? Yeah right! I guess you missed the game against the Redskins where Owens had 18 chances to touch the ball, and all he could say in a loss is “Give me the ball more.” That is not a team player. He works hard and all but he can’t carry on the way he has. You can’t chalk that up to just being “real” because the truth is that it’s sad, and if he does go to the HoF people won’t remember him for his plays but more so for his mouth which he could not control.

So there they go again…folks like Shun and LOST IN SPACE making stupid remarks about the Falcons not wanting somebody because they are a different color. I get so sick of this. Talk about extending the chip you have on your shoulder to the universe! Can’t possibly be because TO is a cancer and a locker room distraction and has FAILED miserably at being a team player. Can’t possibly be that Ray Lewis is unliked here in ATL because of the murder incident. NO…it’s because they are the wrong color? What a joke you guys are. Your attitude is reflected in your daily life people, and if you have the “nobody likes me because I’m a different color” or “somebody owes me because I’ve been oppressed and denied because I’m a different color” or “they won’t take so and so because they are a different color” then you are creating your own problems for yourself. The days of using the color of your skin as your crutch are over. The days of you saying you can’t do this or that because “they” (whoever “they” are) won’t let you because of the color of your skin are over. It’s time for you to wake up and smell the coffee…Anybody can do anything in this country…just ask President Obama.

Mr. Charlie, in the context when it comes to T.O not coming to Atlanta because he’s black is a stupid remark I agree, but outside of that I diagree with what you have just said. The biggest problem in this country is when one black guy makes it then all of a sudden people seem like they’ve done their quota. He may be in the highest position in the US but that’s not enough to say that everybody is equal. My biggest fear is that he will be looked at like some of these black college and NFL coaches. If things don’t go well for him in the White House chances are that every black person, as we have seen, will be clustered into one person, and people will make decisions based off of that instead of the person’s accomplishments.

Lets see what happens ig Obama does well or not and another legit minority canadiate runs for office. If they are given the same respect that Obama is then we can truly say anybody can do anything in this country

Terrell, I agree that too many people lump folks together and look at them as one. This has always been of concern to me, because I believe in an individuals ability to make a difference in their own lives and in the lives of others. I think that if people change their attitudes toward one another we can erase the animosity generated by the sins of the past. Let there be no mistake, the sins of the past are atrocious and undeniable. But to say, wait and see if the next one and the next one are accepted and judged fairly diminishes the accomplishment that has been strived for and attained right now. The time is now for everyone to relax and let the love flow, celebrate and join together to try and accomplish more, but in a way that removes the stigma and prejudice from the equation. We can no longer let discord dominate our actions and our feelings toward one another, or when will we ever be able to say “we have done it”. It could go on forever and for some never be good enough, because it would remove their ability to use what they see as a tool in their arsenal to defend their inadequacies. This is not fair to those who have made the sacrifices. If you give a person an excuse they’ll use it. If you take the excuse away, then they have to stand on their own.

There will always be haters, but how we respond to them will determine if they are relevant or not.
