Falcons underestimate Rams

This game was way too close. I think the guys were looking ahead a little bit and the Rams had nothing to lose.

The Falcons were way too conservative early in the game. A lot of running plays and not a lot of passing plays. Why not open it up against a bad team? This game should have been an easy win against a team on a long losing streak.

Jackson just ran all over the Falcons defense. That guy is huge and the Falcons just couldn’t take him down. Poor showing by the defense. Hope they can rebound next week.

The Saints tried to help us out, but just couldn’t pull it off. So close to winning the division.

Can’t turn over the ball to a bad team. Just gives them chances and confidence to pull off the upset.

Can’t wait for the playoffs to start. Let’s go Falcons! How sweet it is to be back in the postseason. Hope Mike Smith can get this team ready for next week.

NOTE: PLEASE KEEP THE POSTS ON THE GAME AND DON’T GO RANTING ABOUT PLAYERS WHO AREN’T PART OF THIS TEAM ANYMORE. THEY SHUT US DOWN LAST WEEK AND WILL DO THE SAME IF THE COMMENTS GET OUT OF HAND.

Falcons make the playoffs!!!

Who would have thought?!!? First, I’d like to thank the Cowboys and the Bucs for losing to help the Falcons get in the playoffs, and the Falcons came up big with a tough win on the road.

The game shouldn’t have been as close as it was. The Falcons have to capitalize on all of the turnovers with some points, but they scored just enough.

The Vikings tried to fumble this game away, but the Falcons just couldn’t put it away. Thank goodness for John Abraham. He came up big when the Falcons needed him the most.

Matt Ryan had a solid game. He took care of the ball and made some sharp throws. Michael Jenkins came up big when Roddy might have been getting a little more attention from the defense. Michael Turner won the running back battle this week.

And Matt, please don’t go airborne again. That was pretty scary. We need you for the playoffs.

Just enough offense for Falcons

Great win for the Falcons! This could be huge in the playoff race. Nice to see the Falcons can win despite Matt Ryan’s lackluster performance. Michael Turner took over in the overtime and got the Falcons close enough for the winning field goal.

Can’t say enough about the defense. Nice rebound after last week’s game. Abraham getting to Griese for the sack in regulation was huge. A touchdown there would have been tough to overcome with the way the offense was playing.

Can’t turn over the ball three times and expect to win most games. The fumble at the goal line could have cost the Falcons the game.

Did you see Mike Smith on the sideline? That was awesome. The players have to love that kind of intensity from their coach.

Defense hurts Falcons

Disappointing game against the Saints. The Falcons kept answering when the Saints scored, but the defense couldn’t stop Drew Brees and the Saints offense all day. There were too many big runs. No pressure on Brees whatsoever.

Matt Ryan came up with big play after big play all game. Thought he rebounded from the interception and had an awesome game. But he really needed to get that first down late in the 4th. That one hurt. Really needed the defense to step up, but they just couldn’t stop the Saints, again.

Nice throw by Ryan and catch by Finneran on the TD. Roddy had some great catches. Loved how Ryan was rocketing those passes in between double coverage. This guy’s special.

This should have been a win. Ryan, Roddy and Jenkins played well enough to win. They can’t play defense, too. The defense really hurt them today.

Go Falcons!
