D. Hall must go

The Falcons need to get rid of D. Hall. Their decision should have been made after his tirade against the Panthers last season that cost them penalty yards and probably the game.

He is not a team player. He thought he was done wrong and he was going to let the world know about it, without any regard for the impact on the team. Even the fans were telling him to shut his mouth.

He is the best cornerback the Falcons have, but he talks too much. Cover your man, make big plays, and keep your mouth shut. How hard is that?

He had no respect for Petrino and he let everyone know it. He has no discipline. The new coach and GM don’t want to deal with that. He needs to go to the Raiders, or anywhere but here.

Let’s all contact the Raiders and tell them what a wonderfull, kind and caring man MeAgelo is. Let’s make sure Al Davis knows that trading for Hall is NOT a mistake. Say it one more time, is NOT a mistake..

Funny thing is Hall was right about Petrino. Many players have outbursts that may inadvertantly cost the team yardage; it’s called playing with passion. Just because he talks a lot does not mean he is not a team player; maybe he was honing his leadership skills. Now all you haters can see him display his talents for another team.

Hall is just a jackass, who can’t stop himself from saying and doing stupid things. He’s far worse than TO. Good riddance, I say. Another feather in the caps of Dimitroff and Smith as far as I’m concerned. With the No. 3 pick and three in Round 2, we ought to get healthy pretty fast.

Yeah, DHall talks to much. So what? He was a top five corner in this league and now he’s with another team. Don’t complain next year when we are last in the league in pass defense. At least we will have alot of nice players huh? Oh well…..

D’hall is tired of losing, so he is going to Oakland! Why do you think Warren Sapp retired? He was sick of losing and not having fun playing anymore. Why couldn’t Randy Moss wait to get out of there? Have fun at a dysfunctional location going backwards!!!

I cannot believe people think dhall was a shutdown corner, they must not watch many games, when we beat philly a few years ago he was acting a fool, like he shut down t o , but he constantly was burned, I am glad he is being traded he was all mouth, a top 5 corner please.

Dhall is no top five cornerback. Falcons management is trying to rebuild this team, and Dhall is just a cancer. His heart’s not with Atlanta and he needs to go. He doesnt care about winning or building a team. He cares only about the contract and who’s going to pay him the most money. I appreciate the 3 mill relief on the salary cap lets get some new blood. I’d rather have a secondary that works well together then have one star. Thanks Oakland wish ya the best.

There’s no doubt Duh-angelo Hall cost the Falcons a win against the Panthers. His attitude, cancerous and metastasising, contributed greatly to an awful season in 2007. He won’t be missed! Crumpler’s gone, Hall’s gone and there’s one more that has to go, Roddy White!

We have C. Houston, who will be a very good, if not pro bowl CB in the near future. Lucky for us, this year the draft is deep at CB, maybe we can package a couple of our later round pics and trade up to get one of those CBs from USF…

Hey Gatorzone. I bet you Denver wouldn’t call DreBly a top five corner after getting burnt all year opposite Champ. I’ll give you Champ, Cromartie, and Samuels. Bob Sanders is a safety not a cornerback. Different position buddy. Trufant had a break out season this year, but one year doesn’t make a career. Believe me I’m not a big DHall fan, but I just don’t believe addition by subtraction is going to work for a team already lacking in top class talent.

BULLDAWG-the people that think he’s a shutdown CB are the NFL players(including WR’s), coaches and execs that voted him to 2 consecutive Probowls. How’s that for recognition?

ED(DEAD)FROM ROSWELL-it’s truely a shame anyone has to go through life looking through the lens of racism. That’s especially true for ignorant trash like you, JOESLAVE and our little resident queer TITO/DAVID PUKE. Don’t worry, you little fake intellectual, I’m not going to waste time with you. I’ve already gotten you so rattled you’ve started misspelling words and becoming more and more vulgar like our other uncivilized racist moron, JOESLAVE.

For those who think DHall is a stupid loudmouth. He just used his loudmouth to force a trade to a team that’s offered him a new $70m contract with about a $20m signings bonus. And all the Falcons get is a 2nd and 6th rd pick. How many of you clowns would like to be that stupid, and rich? Wouldn’t you be a loudmouth on your job if it could get you a raise, especially one like that?

The Falcons ARE NOT getting enough for HALL no matter what you haters say! Hall is a TOP 5 corner period. Ed Reed,Bob Sanders, Ken Hamlin are safties clown! Champ Baily is first but HALL would have made the same plays or better than Asante Samuel made on that Patriots D. Dre Bly is a tier lower than HALL. Marcus Trufant and Antonio Cromartie doesn’t have the petigree HALL has. I don’t know WHY Devin Hester name is mention for DEFENSE…he’s a WR now! Bird BABE must go! along with other haters. Yes HALL cost us one game but how many have his play allowed the FALCONS to win? I agree his time is up the the Falcons but they should have gotten MORE. We gave up a 1st rounder for John Abraham remember!

Come on, BirdBabe. I would have expected better than this from you.

DeAngelo Hall was “done wrong” in the Carolina game. Anyone who watched it clearly saw that Steve Smith was the one who started running his mouth first.

Yet, the officials did nothing about that - and flagged Hall for running his mouth back at Smith.

As far as Hall’s lack of respect for Petrino, he was merely speaking up to say what it is clear at this point many of the other players felt.

Of course, in hindsight, I’m not sure Petrino ever did anything to deserve the respect of anyone in the Falcons’ organization or their fans.

JustMe you are correct in saying that Hall was right about petrino. However, there were many players, including Warrick Dunn, who disliked Petrino but did not allow that to prevent them from coming to work and being a professional. You never heard Dunn utter one bad word about his coach until he left like a coward. That is what a pro does

I respect him for having the balls to speak his mind and the truth all at the same time. Petrino showed who has the most character between himself and Hall! Hall won Hands down! The Falcons Organization and all of you HATERS will miss him everytime he plays in Atlanta. Hall is being cut because of a grown azz man’s ego trippin’

REALIST-thanks for the recognition. Don’t worry, I’m not worried about that little fruitcake. I just want shim to see how it feels to be berated, but with facts. The truth hurts, which is why shim goes off when I confront her. Shim can’t stand the fact I can verbally whip her little battered A$$(without being vulgar and racially insensitive)and discuss football intelligently, which shim can’t do.

It’s funny how certain people want certain players off the team at all cost. Then when they’re gone, we hear constant references to these players by these same people. They simply aren’t satisfied. That’s because their reasons for wanting them gone always remain. Since they can’t identify any other players to vent their personal bias’, they continue to single out those of the past. It’s truly sick.

Personally, I don’t think DHall was traded because of his mouth or attitude. I think the new DC intends to play more zone, and there’s no need for 2 cover CB’s. That made Hall’s trade value more valuable than his cover skills. To be honest, we need a pass rushing DT more than a cover CB.

There isn’t any truely outstanding talent in this yrs draft. However, it’s really deep at certain positions and there isn’t a lot of dropoff between 1st and 2nd rd talent. There are QB’s that will fall to the lower rds with more talent and potential than the higher rated QB’s. The same can be said for DL and OL. A lot of fans want us to take OT Long, but that might not be a good choice. Long is an excellent OT overall, especially pass protection, but is rated a weak power run blocker. This is exactly what our new OFF requires. There are several lower rated OT that are rated very highly as power run blockers, but average in pass protection. Our passing OFF will feature far more play action passing, based on our power rushing OFF, than drop back passing.

We need to draft a DT at #3, either LSU’s Dorsey or USC’s Ellis. We need a penetrating DT that can provide an effective inside pass rush and prevent teams from doubling DE Abraham. If we do that, and get a run stuffing MLB, our DEF will be solid.

By The Realist

March 19, 2008 7:43 PM | Link to this

Ken Strickland, yeah, I must admit that it is pretty entertaining to see certain bloggers predictably embarrass themselves & their kind (whatever that may be…LOL).

I hear you about OT Long, I’m just concerned about the fact that the front office hasn’t made ANY moves thus far to upgrade the O-line. Honestly, I was hoping for a free-agent OT as well as a highly drafted OT. If there really are significantly better run-blockers that’ll be available in the 2nd, I could go for a DT w/ the first pick. After getting rid of D. Hall, I do agree that it makes getting a pass-rushing DT imperative…and here’s hoping we get Lewis back sooner than later to help solidify the D-line’s run defense.

I’m w/ drafting a MLB, as we desperately need to move Brooking, but I’m afraid the front office is set on keeping him in position to be run over like he was last season! Middle of the defense (DT & MLB) should definitely be priority…as long as we get that fierce run-blocking OT somewhere in the 2nd round. Then we’ll just have to hope Forney can return to form & that Blalock makes giant steps.

By Ken Strickland

March 19, 2008 10:19 PM | Link to this

REALIST-the real problem with our OL has been schemes. They’ve been forced to block while playing 2 opposing OFF philosophies in 2yrs. RT TClabo thrived after being switched form OG to OT. C TMcClure has been solid period, and played for DReeves power blocking scheme. LG JBlalock is expected to do very well in this new blocking scheme. I read a report that said KForney is expected to have a much better season than last yr. That means he will like be the starting RG. That leaves LT as the only unsettled OL position.

Having a power runner(Turner)will make it a lot easier for our OL. Also, pass blocking off play action is a whole lot easier that drop back pass protection. The truth is, I don’t see any serious problems with our OFF. It’s the DEF that needs some work. We need a MLB, both DT’s, and a CB. A DL of DT’s Dorsey & Lewis and DE’s Abraham & Anderson would be very effective.

Ken Strickland, The Realist Face it….get ready for a return to 1972. You are now embarking on the retro Falcons - you might as well wear bell bottoms, stacks and anything polyester to the games - that is, if you want to see it. Otherwise, gather the family around the AM/FM, maybe get a RC Cola and some boiled peanuts from the corner store to munch on while you listen to the dull, lackluster 3-13 season that is coming.

By Ken Strickland

March 20, 2008 9:42 AM | Link to this

LYNNE-you analogy is one way or looking at the upcoming season, but here’s another. On two separate occasions in the past, the Falcons hired a new HC and GM. The 1st time it was Eddie Lebaron and Leeman Bennett and we ended up with the Grits Blitz. That was an exciting time. The 2nd time it was Dan Reeves and John McKay, and we ended up in the Superbowl. In both cases the attitudes of the fans were like yours. In both cases the idea was to establish a power rushing OFF and go back to basics. In both cases the team had a lot of holes, and they were filled with astute drafting and FA signings.

If you see this team and this season strickly from a negative perspective, it’s probably because you’re just a pessimist. It’s not like the NFC South is some powerhouse conference. Each team has followed the same pattern over the last few yrs. Tenn, Tampa Bay, New Orleans and Atlanta have all had outstanding seasons immediately followed by a complete collapse. All but New Orleans made it to the Superbowl, with Atlanta being the only one that didn’t win it.

Even last yr, with all of our problems and distractions, we were very competitive within our conference. We lost the 2nd gm against the Saints due to a dropped TD pass. We lost the gm against Carolina because of a series of penalities against DHall. With a better OFF plan, an improved OL, a more powerful RB and rushing OFF, a settled QB situation and more experience among our WR’s, our OFF will be much better. The key will be our DEF. Nicholas will improve our OLB play, drafting Dorsey or Ellis will improve our inside play, especially our pass rush. FS Houston will improve our secondary play and DE JAnderson should be much improved rushing the passer. We need to settle on a CB and MLB.

We’ll have 11 draft picks, with the trade of DHall, and at least one supplemental pick form the seattle signing of PKearney. With the #3 pick and 3 high 2nd rd picks, we can possibly end up with 2 to 4 starters. With the remaining 8 or 9 picks, we can help ourselves trememdously overall. Remember, we’ve gotten 5 starters out of the 11 picks from last yrs draft. DEF: DE JAnderson, DT TLewis, OLB Nicholas, CB Houston OFF: OG Blalock, WR Robinson.

You can see doom and gloom if you want, but history has shown it doesn’t have to end up that way.

By Glenn

I don’t think we need to expect 1972 all over again. It feels more like 1977 to me when the Smiths brought in Eddie LeBaron, Tom Braatz and coach Leeman Bennett. That team finished 7-7 and established a league record for fewest points allowed with the “Grits Blitz,” defense. Dimitroff and Smith and the moves they’ve made so far harken to that all-to-brief period of sanity in Falcons history. Hopefully Blank will be smart enough to stick with Dimitroff and Smith and let them build something good and longlasting.

By Ken Strickland

March 20, 2008 11:04 AM | Link to this

GLENN-good observation. That team was by far the greatest Falcon team overall. That OFF was one of the most balanced and most exciting ever. Remember, that was the 1st team in NFL history to make the hail mary pass an OFF weapon instead of a desperation play.

But, compare what we have now to the Superbowl team. We now have a powerful RB that’s simular to JAnderson, but much faster. We have a castoff QB in Redmon, simular to CChandler and his situation, except more durable. Our OL situation is also simular along with TE. We had Santiago, who was an excellent blocker, but had unsure hands. Our new TE has better hands and is an excellent blocker, but bigger and with better hands. Our WR’s are simular, except our current crop is less experienced, but much bigger. Our DE’s are simular. CSmith was a dynamic pass rusher, much like JAbraham, while Archambeau was strong against the run much like JAnderson. DT Hall played both DE/DT much like CDavis does now. RBuchanan was our cover CB, much like CHouston is now and White was the SS and very simular to Lmilloy. We don’t have a FS that compares to Robinson.

With basically the same OFF philosophy as our Superbowl team employed, and with simular talent, we can have simular results. However, our DEF will have to improve tremendously for that to happen. Let’s hope for the best and see what happens. I hope none of our players have the same or simular attitudes that’s being expressed by some of our negative minded fans.

Been a long time since I rocked and rolled on here boys (and girls)…

as far as Mr. hall’s departure goes, it’s a shame that his tenure was marked with controversy and turmoil, both in the managerial levels as well as the player/coach level of the team. However, at the end of the day it was only fitting that he would be given his walking paers to sign with a team that has had more struggles than the Evans family from “Good Times”, thy Raiders of Oakland. and for $70 million, I can’t say I blame him either.

But, to say that the falcons will be better from this is bordeline insanity. It would behoove all fans, both rational and red-necked, to keep in mind that a bunch of draft picks, IN ONE DRAFT MIND YOU, doesn’t necessarily mean the Birds will be better. In fact, we may be looking at the makings of a 2-14 “dream team” (lol) for the upcoming season. It’s not short of impossible, remember we do live in Atlanta y’all :-(. If there was that big of a deal regarding Hall’s attitude and play, along with a pertinent need to trade the disgruntled CB asap, why wasn’t the original trade with New York Football Giants not executed?? It would ‘ve made a TON of more sense for hall to be traded for a first-round pick than a measly 2nd 9God knows what number pick it’ll be btw) and a 6th. Now, the NYFG are projected to pick a player who fits a need and has immense talent who would’ve plugged a gaping hole in the ATL secondary: UM S Kenny Phillips.

Yes, I see (the thug is gone” gladhanding, but I’m just not convinced that those same mitts will be clapping in appreciation when heads that control them gaze in total disgust as they observe their “purified home team” (lol), totally devoid of playmakers (not sure about Turner the Burner, but we’ll see), get abosutely bludgeoned to death for 16 weeks straight next season. I really doubt it; I don’t care how much we hear about “i’ll support them as long as they don’t have so and so” or “well at least we got rid of this or that guy” that. Sheet like that belongs in place that truly needs it, like the script of Saturday night Live (lol) because those are sentences of pure comedy. Real talk, I doubt anyone who has been in these blogs for the past 18 months who has vehemently raved against “thugs on (our) team” (lol) will even bother to watch the “birdies” for the next 4 seasons, because realistically that’s the window of time it will take for them to become halfway decent.

And if that statement i just made is used vs myself, which I’m almost certain that it will being a vet of these AJC blogs, just a reminder to my “fans” here that i work at the Dome, so I at least will get paid to watch them suffer the mistakes of the last 8 years. but the point is that I will be there, from sections 322 to 101. how bout “you all”?

Ken S- I see your argument with the GM/coach turnover not being as bad as it looks, and you did have 2 good if not great examples, but the fact is that Im 26 and all my life I’ve known 3 certainties: death, taxes, and the Falcons losing. I’ve been knowing it and seeing it since I was old enough to remember memories brother. Hell, I remeber growing up in school kids used to get into joning matches because they had the nerve to say they rooted for the Falcons. Even heard a few “Yo momma so dumb” jokes with the falcons in em as the punchlines. I do want the team to suceed, believe me I do, but reality is a beeetch and she wants shopping money right now; it means that i can’t see the team improving anytime soon buddy. Maybe we CAN build an actual OL and a semi-functional DL thru this draft, but don’t expect any automatic rewards……

til then I’m out my friends..(and foes)

Sports Illustrated is reporting the Raiders are about to end negotiations with Hall and back away from this deal. What’s Hall gonna do then? Come back and honor his contract like a man without whining? Or will he be insufferable? And if this falls through is there any hope of trading this prima donna anywhere?

If this deal fails to materialize due to Hall’s petulance and intransigence, the Falcons would have a couple of options. Option #1 would be to pay him to stay away from the team. It’s been done before. The second option is to release him. Under no circumstances should the Falcons allow him onto a field, wearing a Falcons’ uniform. He’s personally, and intentionally, thrown at least one game already. He will do it again if he gets the chance. Don’t give him that chance!

The Falcons organization is %100 committed to thug cleansing. Under no circumstances will the team allow Hall to step on the field with this years addition. DAVID PUKE-why is a supposedly well bred, upstanding intellectual victim of society like you riding Marta late at night? Did you really expect to find other whitebread cupcakes like yourself riding Marta that time of night? You know you would’ve been upset if there had been another like you on the train, you know competition. heh, heh. Your commentary suggested you were more upset that those, so called, monkey faces didn’t molest you as hoped.

We all know why you would want the Falcons moved to the suburbs. Moving the Falcons far away from the Midtown/Virginia Highlands area would mean a longer train ride for you. And a longer train ride would mean more chances for you to get molested, which means more fun for a fruit like you. heh, heh, heh.

There’s one other thing about you that’s strange, as well as telling. You constantly attempting to project your misguided opinion of yourself as an intellectual by using selective words when making your mindless comments. EXAMPLE: “YOUR PAUCITY OF ERUDITION IS REALLY EMBARRASSING TO COUNTENANCE”. Then you reveal your true fake intellectual self when you let your true feelings out by making comments like: “YO BOY VICK IS DOIN’ SOME WIDE RECEIVIN’ IN LEAVENWORTH. TELL YO MAMMA I PICK HER UP AT 10. WORD B**”. Come on, you vulgar little misfit, admit it, you’re a disgruntled little racist that’s filled with selfloathing. IT HAS TO BE AN AWFUL LIFE EXPERIENCE BEING YOU, WOW!!!

(un)ED(ucated)FROM ROSWELL-you are even more moronic than I originally gave you credit for being. Your entire contribution and intellectual capacity seems limited to degrading Black people. Calling you, and your buddies ANAL MINDED MORONS, in reality, might be more of a compliment in retrospect.

How low must individuals like you be to be reduced to constantly degrading an entire race of people so you can feel worthy of feeling human. A true civilized person of value would rather upgrade their own image rather than constantly attempting to degrade the image and/or value of others. I guess if you realize you are too morally and intellectually deficient to move forward, you attempt to lower your perceptions of others.

THE QUESTION IS, ARE YOUR PARENTS RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR IGNORANCE, STUPIDITY AND RACISM, OR ARE YOU IGNORANT ANAL MINDED MONKEYS SELF-CREATED?

Thug watch: Adam,”Pac Man” Jones has sparked some interest from the Cowboys. According to SI.com, the boys would give up a 5th round pick for the troubled db. Maybe pacman can teach TO to get out of Romo’s butt by taking him to one of the strip clubs and showing him women!

The vast majority of NFL players aren’t thugs. But too many are. And the league has a problem. I’m not going to tell you that people will stop watching or anything like that if something doesn’t change. They may keep watching and think less of the NFL. They may see it as a kind of freak show. Right now, though, too many people believe the NFL has too many thugs.

If the Tennessee Titans ever allow Pacman Jones to step back on the field, that franchise will be revealing some awful things about its values. It doesn’t matter what happened or didn’t happen at that strip club in Las Vegas. This guy has been involved in too much. He has had too much chances.

The New York Daily News has the story of bouncer Tommy Urbanski, who was left paralyzed after a shooting in a club in which Pacman Jones was partying. Urbanski arrived for his job at about 5 a.m. on Monday, shortly after Jones and his entourage had returned for the second time in the hours after the NBA All-Star Game. It is still unclear what happened in the next hour. If Tommy Urbanski leaves the hospital alive, he will probably never walk again.

Until the NFL gets serious about policing and punishing the kind of behavior we’ve seen in Cincinnati and other places, this kind of stuff will continue to happen. Maybe Pacman Jones isn’t guilty, but when a guy is at a strip club at 5 a.m., he’s asking for trouble.

I’m sick of reading about these thugs terrorizing the public. Nine Cincinati Bengal football players were arrested two years ago. What the hell is happening to our country when privileged thugs can commit such henous acts and walk away with only probation as a punishment. I will never watch another NBA game again and am considering giving up the NFL too. I have had enough!!!

LYNNE-I agree with you, because I’m tired of reading about it to. But, unlike you, and people like you, I’m also concerned about what’s going on off the field outside of sports. I’m also tired of hearing and reading about all of the seriel rapists, killers and bombers, child molesters, internet stalkers, pornographers, mass murderers, children killing their parents, parents killing their children, teen and preteen mass murderers, people committing cannibalizm, incest and having sex with animals. And LYNNE, did you know that over 90% of the THUGS that commit these crimes are WHITE.

IT’S REALLY FUNNY HOW RACISTS LIKE YOU ARE SOMEHOW UNCONCERNED AND/OR UNFAZED BY DEVIATE BEHAVIOR WHEN IT INVOLVES PEOPLE THAT LOOK LIKE YOU. IT’S LIKE THE CURRENT POLITICAL SITUATION WITH OBAMA. HE’S BEING VILLIFIED FOR HIS ASSOCIATION WITH, WHAT IS PERCEIVED AS A RACIST PASTOR. YET, THE ENTIRE REPUBLICAN PARTY HAS BEEN GIVEN A PASS EVEN THOUGH IT EMBRACED THE MASS INFLUX MOST OF SELF PROCLAIMED RACISTS, SEPARATIST AND SEGREGATIONISTS LIKE DAVID DUKE, STROM THURMAN, JESSE HELMS, LESTER MADDOX, ROSS BARNETT, ETC. THEY HAVE ALSO BEEN GIVEN A PASS FOR EMBRACING MEMBERS OF THE MORAL MAJORITY LIKE NEWT GINGRICH, ORAL ROBERTS, JIM BAKER, JIMMY SWAGGARD, RUSS LIMBAUGH AND THE LIKE. THESE CLOWNS ARE ANYTHING BUT MORAL.

IF JOHN MCCAIN IS ELECTED, OUR 1ST FAMILY WILL BE COMPRISED OF AN ADULTEROUS COUPLE(JOHN & CINDY MCCAIN)AND AN ADMITTED DRUG ADDICT AND THIEF(CINDY MCCAIN). BUT THAT’S OK, THEY’RE NOT BLACK.

Her is my nomination for NFL thug of the month: The increasingly ribald off-field antics of Bryant McKinnie have placed him in the upper echelon of current NFL thug lore, and his most recent actions may have cemented his legendary status. There is no date or location associated with the video of McKinnie in a nightclub gettin’ his freak on, but who cares?

There is too much gold in the clip to care about the whys and whens and all that journalistic crap.

A couple of highlights:

  • An intoxicated women barfing into a small plastic bag

  • Asses gyrating in virtually every frame of the clip

  • McKinnie’s boy yelling repeatedly “GET IT MACK!”

  • McKinnie pulling one girls pants halfway off her a*.

  • When the white dude comes in near the end to try and stop B-Mack from dancing on the bar, the same guy yelling “GET IT MACK!” starts in with “HE HATIN’!”

Add McKinnie to the thug list…

Just days after being activated by the Cincinnati Bengals, Chris Henry, the poster child for recidivism was involved in a heated exchange with a parking attendant at the Newport on the Levee, a popular entertainment complex just over the Ohio River s** sewer in Kentucky.

When asked to pay the $5 parking fee, Henry became visibly angry and cussed out the attendant. And predictably, played the “Do you know who I am?” card. Henry then stood chest to chest with the attendant in an attempt to see who was more of a bad a*. Henry then won when he threw a crumpled $5 bill on the ground and then said to the attendant, “You’d better pick that up, m*******.”

Henry may face charges for menacing and harassment, if the parking attendant files a complaint.

Ken Strickland, isn’t it funny how you pointed to several types of offenders that make up the majority of America’s “thug” population & nobody had anything to say about it? I figure it’s like this: Even if I’m well aware of the evils of my people but my agenda is to further perpetuate a negative image of another group, then I’m NEVER going to acknowledge it. That’s the sickness of racist minds. If they can just place blame on people that don’t look like them, they can feel better about themselves.

By Justin from Seattle

I have a buddy here in Spokane that likes to refer to the NBA as the “TBA” a.k.a. the “Thug Basketball Association”. First off what exactly is a “thug”? I define a “thug” as twofold: 1) a tattoo covered gang-banger(see Allen Iverson) and 2) A “crafty” player that fouls hard and uses a lot of dirty tricks (see Bruce Bowen). Now using that definition the argument that today’s NBA is more “thugish” is only half true. The tattoo covered gang-banger is a new and unfortunate phenomenom in the NBA but the “crafty” player that fouls hard and makes tempers flair has been around for a long time; see Bill Lambier and the “Bad Boys” Pistons of the 80’s. The point is that the likes of Bruce Bowen and Robert Horry is nothing new. Hard fouls and crafty play, even “cheap shots” has been a part of the NBA for years. To say that today’s NBA is anymore violent or “thuggish” is only half correct. To say that the NFL is “thug” free is completely incorrect. The NFL has just has many “thugs”; both gang-bangers and “crafty” players. The only difference is that you can’t see all the tats under all the pads and you can’t hear all the gang-banger trash talk on the football field. The NFL also has more convicted criminals on its rosters year in and year out, see Pacman Jones of the Titans who finally was suspended and Tank Johnson of the Bears who was suspsended for illegal firearm possession. NFL players are also just as “dirty” as NBA players. According to player accounts; in the pile to recover a fumble the first player who falls on the ball frequently gets poked in the eyes and punched in the groin, if that is not “dirty” I don’t know what is. The point is that the NBA and NFL share the same problems when it comes to “dirty play”. As for the Falcons,Kudos Arthur Blank for cleaning house and ridding yourself of thugs like Vick and MeAngelo. You are setting the gold standard for the league!!!

What’s the matter people, why doesn’t anyone want to talk about the THUGS that are assaulting our children, or our mass murdering children? Why doesn’t anyone want to discuss the fact that despite America having an over abundance of women, certain men increasingly seek out boys and underaged girls to molest. These freaks are a lot closer to us than our sports teams, they’re in our communities and neighborhoods.

What’s wrong here? What is it about these athletes that makes their behavior so much more offensive to you than your average elected politician, or next door neighbor? Why are you more concerned about an athlete fighting and killing dogs(Vick), or being overly tempermental(DHall), than a serial rapist, a serial killer, or mass murdering teenagers? RACISM IS A B!TCH ISN’T IT?

Remember, ignoring this same kind of deviate behavior, committed by the same type of deviate male mentality, caused the demise of the Roman Empire.

Hey Justin from Seattle, can you refer me to the article that discusses Allen Iverson’s “gang” activity? I’d love to see it.

I know tattoos contribute heavily to your definition of “thuggery,” but how about tattoo-less wife beaters? Are they “thugs” too? What about tattoo-less child molesters? Hey, here’s one, how about the tattoo-less politicians that keep prostitution alive & well? One more thing, does the tattoo factor automatically make most rock bands “thugs?”

I am furious that the NFL seems to hire criminals as players and keep them on the team even though they get into trouble all the time. Look at Chris Henry of the Cincinnati Bengals. He has gotten into trouble with the law at least 4 times. Yet, he is still on the Bengals team. He must be kicked off. Football players are supposed to be good, not bad, role models for young boys.

Fire Chris Henry and other football players with criminal records and screen the criminal backgrounds of future football recruits. I wish the Bengals had an owner like Blank. The sad truth is that the overwhelming majority of these players are black. The black community must take responsibility for their own race!

Ken Strickland, Amerikkka takes more offense to the actions of certain athletes because they never intended for them to end up with a piece of the pie. They’re jealous of & intimidated by the fact that some of the very people brought to this country to serve the rich OT’s (original thugs) are making millions. It’s not a morality issue. The “morality” bit is just a cover for their envy & bitterness.

My intelligence and life long experiences let’s me know that the majority of Whites aren’t lowlife racist trash like you and your blog friends. Nor will I group you and yours with the majority of Whites in this society.

Times have changed and the attitudes of a large majority have followed. There will always be maladjusted trash like you on both sides that will never fit in. You and yours will aways be resentful of those who move forward. So just continue wallowing in your self-hatred, vulgarity, racist ideology and name calling, while contining to seek out fellow trash like JOEBRAVE, ED IN ROSWELL, ETC.

REALIST-NICE PUN(AMERIKKKA). Obama’s presidential campaign has shown that White America is coming around. Like Obama said, a lot of people from Rev Wright’s generation psychologically can’t seem to see the advancement in attitudes Blacks and Whites have made in this generation. His perceptions of a lack of advancement have been unduly influenced by the deeds, words and attitudes of a vocal White trash minority like JOESRAVE, DAVID PUKE, (un)ED(ucated)FROM ROSWELL. DAVID PUKE-you and your last post are perfect examples of how a racist mentality malfunctions.

(1)You use the high percentage of Blacks in prison to villify all Blacks. Yet, your racist mentality won’t allow you to acknowledge and/or accept that the extremely high percentage(90%+)of this societies most vile, perverted, uncivilized behavior and crimes are committed by White people, mostly White men.

(2)You use the history of violent behavior by Black/African cultures as examples to justify your racist attitudes towards Blacks. However, your racist mentality prevents you from accepting and/or recognizing that this type of behavior is inherent to all races or cultures. You conviently forgot to mention Hitler, Mussollini, King James, Bosnia, the Russian rebellion and revolution, or the decades old genocide that’s gone on in Ireland.

LIKE I’VE SAID MANY TIMES BEFORE, YOU CAN’T ACCEPT THE TRUTH ABOUT YOURSELF(the cause of your selfhatred)AND YOU CAN’T AFFORD TO ACCEPT THE TRUTH ABOUT THE BLACK OR THE WHITE RACE. YOU’RE NOTHING BUT TRASH, AND YOU ARE FILLED WITH NOTHING BUT SELFHATRED AND HATRED FOR EVERYTHING NOT LIKE YOU. I THROUGH FUELING YOUR VULGARITY AND RACIST RHETORIC. I HAVE NOTHING ELSE TO SAY TO YOU OR ABOUT YOU. YOU ARE SELF EXPLANATORY.

• Blacks are seven times more likely than people of other races to commit murder, and eight times more likely to commit robbery.

• When blacks commit crimes of violence, they are nearly three times more likely than non-blacks to use a gun, and more than twice as likely to use a knife.

• Hispanics commit violent crimes at roughly three times the white rate, and Asians commit violent crimes at about one quarter the white rate.

• The single best indicator of violent crime levels in an area is the percentage of the population that is black and Hispanic.

Interracial Crime

• Of the nearly 770,000 violent interracial crimes committed every year involving blacks and whites, blacks commit 85 percent and whites commit 15 percent.

• Blacks commit more violent crime against whites than against blacks. Forty-five percent of their victims are white, 43 percent are black, and 10 percent are Hispanic. When whites commit violent crime, only three percent of their victims are black.

• Blacks are an estimated 39 times more likely to commit a violent crime against a white than vice versa, and 136 times more likely to commit robbery.

• Blacks are 2.25 times more likely to commit officially-designated hate crimes against whites than vice versa.

Gangs

• Only 10 percent of youth gang members are white.

• Hispanics are 19 times more likely than whites to be members of youth gangs. Blacks are 15 times more likely, and Asians are nine times more likely.

Incarceration

• Between 1980 and 2003 the US incarceration rate more than tripled, from 139 to 482 per 100,000, and the number of prisoners increased from 320,000 to 1.39 million.

• Blacks are seven times more likely to be in prison than whites. Hispanics are three times more likely.

If the NFL is full of thugs, it’s the fault of the NFL for not giving these black men consequences for their actions. There’s no emphasis on ethics or morality, but rather the almighty dollar. African-American leaders are beginning to ask if the thug is a self-created narrative that’s gotten out of control. Black males ages 15 to 19 die by homicide at 46 times the rate of white males their age. They are also seven times more likely to be incarcerated than their white peers. Groups like Concerned Black Men, Enough is Enough, and the National Urban League are fighting back against what they portray as a culture of self-destruction fueled by entrenched poverty, racism, failing schools and the relentless hip-hop fairy tale of drug dealer turned Veuve Clicquot-swilling multimillionaire rapper. Leroy Hughes of Concerned Black Men describes their work as “putting kids in a position to mitigate stereotypes. Black athletes are not improving in important areas. They are allowed to live lifes that no one else is allowed to live. They are allowed to do and say things that no one else can say. Most offensively anyone who criticizes a black person is considered a Racist automatically.

Last year, after the Army-Navy game they spoke to the “Captain”. He could barely speak English. He as black btw. How do you get into Annapolis and sound like you are still in the ghetto and have never taken an English class?

Is the only requirement for black athletes that they fog up a mirror? Sure seems that way. Affirmative action at work. When you can get into an elite school and sound like a rapper, we have some serious problems. It’s time to make all people live by the same laws and rules.

Your children make up over 90% of all children that murder their parents and vice versa. They also commit virtually all teenage mass murders. PLEASE EXPLAIN WHY?

Historically, you’ve committed most of all serial rapes, murders, child molestation and pornography worldwide. You’re committing virtually all of the cannibalizm and sex acts with animals in this country. PLEASE EXPLAIN WHY?

Do you really think that focusing your attention on Blacks, especially Black athletes, will change the long history of atrocities you’ve committed and continue to commit?
