Defense has to get after Orton
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
The Falcons offensive line, which played well last week, will be front and center against Chicago’s rugged defensive front.
The Bears are getting back Tommie Harris this week after he served his one-game suspension. Alex Brown is beast, too.
“They are very salty,” Falcons offensive coach Paul Boudreau said. “As far as their front goes, they are very similar to Tampa and Carolina. They are going to stop the run and get you in those third down situations and try to get some sacks. We’re going to have to make our money on first and second down for sure.”
This might be the game that the Falcons have to see how far Matt Ryan has progressed. They’ll need to pass on first down instead of waiting to third down. Instead of running Michael Turner to set up the passing game, Ryan must be efficient passing in order to open things up for The Burner.
Also, the Bears know that Roddy White gets most of the passes. So the other receivers, Michael Jenkins, Harry Douglas and Brian Finneran will be on the spot. This would be a good game to have a pass catching tight end. Big Ben Hartsock, the pride of Chillicothe, Ohio, may need to be a factor in the passing game. Just a couple of seam routes to keep the Cover Two safeties honest.
The Falcons defense need flip the table on the Bears and get after quarterback Kyle Orton. He’s been hot over his last two games, but the jury is still out on him. The secondary can’t keep giving up 300 yards passing.
So how do you see this match-up? Can the Falcons rattle Orton? Will the Burner be able to get loose against his hometown team? Is Ryan ready to pass the Falcons to victory? Oh yeah, there’s that little issue of the receivers not dropping passes, too. Can they hold onto the passes?
Should be an old-school, knock down, drag out game.

I think Sunday would be a perfect day for Jamaal Anderson to get his first sack. Disruption of Orton’s patterns will be key. The bad thing is their OL is one of the heaviest in the league.
Too bad Laurent Robinson will not be back. He has some juke moves that I don’t see in the other receivers.

Maybe this will be Jamaal’s big sack week!!! Adam Jennings has a little wiggle, but perhaps he needs to just concentrate on his punt return duties.

What do you think the biggest matchup of the week is going to be?
I think if we can stop Forte on the run, the pass rush will certainly be easier.
The more we can get Jerious in the game the better. What do you think about trick plays or screens to throw of the bears defense that I’m sure is going to try to be in Matt Ryan’s facemask the whole day.

I think the Falcons will play ‘em tough and keep it close for a while. I think the dropped passes, inability to run, and the secondary will be the undoing. If Abe can get to Orton enough maybe that all changes.

I think they can stop Forte. He’s a bigger problem coming out of the backfield.
BIGGEST MATCHUP: CB Charles Tillman and WR Roddy White. Tillman’s a ballhawk. 2 picks, 2 forced fumbles.

Go to google and do an image search for Kyle Orton. That dude must be sloshed all the time. Other than game pix, there’s nothing but boy at clubs, at parties and in limos with at least one drink in his hand. Hope he’s drunk or hungover on Sunday.

Personally, I think this will be the game that Matt Ryan shows Atlanta what he is capable of doing. First of all lets get a good understanding of who the bears really are.
Offense: Name two other great players besides (C) Olin Kruetz & (TE) Gred Olsen With that being said, the Bears offense is about as good as the stock market at the moment:
Defense: Can I say “VERY OVER-RATED”. Their front four is solid and they have a great linebacking core solidified by Brian Urlacher & Lance Briggs, but their secondary gets too much credit because the other seven tends to do a great job at stopping the run and getting pressure on the quarterback. If our offensive line holds up like it did last week against Green Bay, I personally don’t see why we shouldn’t make fur coats out of these bears.
KEY TO THE GAME (SPECIAL TEAMS): KEEP THE BALL AWAY FROM DEVIN HESTER!!!! We can not allow the Bears special teams to dictate what we do on offensive. This is critical. If we do, then we will definitely lose this game.
With that being said I predict outcome: FALCONS 24 / Bears 10.

Such optimists! Our tema is getting better, but like Carolina, Chicago is tougher and has better personnel at most positions (Carolina was in fact stronger in every category: both lines, backs, receivers, q-back, backers and secondary). It would take a minor miracle or a good bit of luck to swing things the Birds way this Sunday. For one thing, they’ll have to do what they haven’t done so far this year (or last for that matter): develop a short passing game. When I think that they can get Norwood on a linebacker almost any time they want, I get chills! Norwood in the flat when the Bears have 7-8 in the box. That’s tasty!

The Falcons will need to be patient, and then not miss when they get thier chance. I see a lot of stalled drives in this one. If they can return the favor, and keep it close, there are always opportunities downfield. Ryan can’t throw to a covered Harry Douglas instead of an open, streaking White (like he did against Carolina).
Their hearts are there - there is no question to that. Sunday they’ll need thier heads too. I got a feeling about this one…

I think the key to the game will be how Atlanta handles the blitz. Chicago blitz more than any other team. If Matt stays upright, we shoudl have a good day. But if Chicago starts to get to him, it may be another Tampa Bay game where we saw Matt throw the ball away at least a half dozen times.

I think all of the talk of Falcon greatness needs to take a reality check. Who have we beaten? Detroit, KC and Green Bay. The only win of merit is GB. I know the Falcons were in shambles and thus the view of optimism but we need to be cautious with too much. We could be pessimistic or optimistice but it is more prudent to be realistic. We are getting better for sure but we haven’t arrived. I still think we can beat the bears! But they seem to have little directin …. like Detroit and KC. God Bless!

If the Falcons can be competitive and atleast manage this game. From all fronts of the game play(off, def and spec teams).Competitive and balance … .this game can be won by the Falcons. If we win this game.Means the home games against Tampa and Carolina are well in reach.Pushing to an 8/9 game winning season.Oak and Stl are also anemic and struggling at best.Which leaves Phil,Den,SD and the home NO game. Each of these teams having thier own issues.I now I’m ahead of the game. But this season is showing alot of promise. The beginning of a Falcon DYNASTY.

Hey Y’all:
I have no pessimistic idea of the Falcons not playing well against the Bears. I have pure optimism and joy in the direction this team is going. Mark my words: They will beat the Bears on Sunday. These Falcons have the talent and the scheme to win against any team. That is why they are going to shock the NFL in how they are going to beat teams. They are jelling in teamwork and concept of Mike Smith’s approach to playing NFL football. One game at a time, Iam going to enjoy the different ways that the Falcons are going to beat teams. Being a young team, new stars are going to be born every game. They young guys are stepping up. We have not seen anything about them yet. We will see when, as a team, they will have that “SWAG” and confidence. I am sure you as a fan are starting to feel it now. Therefore sit back, and as I said before, enjoy the ride. This is going to be fun.

Come on rico, you can say what you want about the bears but there DEFENCE is not over-rated.I can understand the birds might be your team but give credit were credit is due.The bears have always been known because of there D.They win games because of there D and special teams. The QB situation is shaky but,if the bears QB can manage the game and not create turnovers they can play with and or beat any team.Ill give the bears the win in this one.Even tho the falcons corners have been getting toasted by good recievers, ill give the coaching staff credit on how they have the D playing.

I think this will be a serious measurement for the season. Gong into the bye week at 4-2 would be monumental. I think we squeeze out a 20-17 win, possibly with a last second winning field goal. I also believe we should start the first drive with no huddle to begin wearing down the Bears defensive front in order to have the running game established by the 3rd quarter. Hit’em where it hurts!!

I think Falcons are going to have their hands full with bears defense. Harris is back and has said to be on a mission from god. Grahm started for probowl vasher last week and tied team lead in tackles for ten. All three corners to be ready this week. Hester caught touchdown pass against Lions last week. Forte looks like the real deal. Orton has been very efficient and has gained the respect of the offense. Bears two losses to Tampa and carolina were of their own doing. Bears will dominate on defense, field position, and ball control. Bears will win by 14. Part of me will still be rooting for Turner(NIU). Good Luck

I agree with what you’ve said i’m glad the Falcons are doing good but it’s only been five games. This game will give a better assessment of the Falcons progress from the first two lost. Too many if this and if that are being said; we know Turner has to run the ball to keep Ryan from having the pressure of wining the game on his shoulder. It’s time for the special teams or the defense to step and score. I’m a fan but I also have to be realistic I’d be suprised if the Falcons win.

A lot depends on the status of White. Is he still “woozy?” I also think Norwood should be used more as a receiver and punt returner; he’s simply too easy to tackle at the line. He goes down like he’s been shot at just about any attempt at an arm tackle. He’s still a legitimate weapon, of course, but not between the tackles. Mughelli should get more carries too. If we limit mistakes and create some pressure, we’ve got a chance because we’re at home and I actually think the fans will be out in force this time. Just have to score early to keep them nice and loud.

The Bears are just playing on another level since Orton took over at QB. He seems to know exactly what to do to lead the offense effectively, and Forte benefits from that.
I don’t think he’ll have a big day running against Atlanta, but unfortunately I don’t see Atlanta’s secondary shutting down Chicago’s suddenly potent passing game.
This is where it gets tricky, because if Chicago gets up early that will force Ryan to pass more than Mularkey would like. That could play right into the hands of Chicago’s solid secondary.
Atlanta’s best chance is to keep the Bears’ D off balance with some early screens, both to White or Norwood and get them in open space. Elam will be huge as they will need a few FGs to keep pace.
That said, I think these two teams will put in a great game with minimal turnovers, but in the end (as much as I hate to say it) Chicago will win unless the Falcons’ secondary can man up!
Oh, and one more thing: KEEP THE BALL AWAY FROM DEVIN HESTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! FOR ALL THAT IS HOLY, KEEP THE BALL AWAY FROM HIM AT ALL TIMES!!!!!!!

A-TOWN get serious.
In the NFL, balance is about winning games. For example a good defensive front, makes the secondary look that much more amazing. The bears have a solid defensive line as i said earlier, and a great linebacking core, but their secondary “NEEDS TO BE EXPOSED”. Nobody ever says anything about it, but I’m pretty sure some of these true football fans on here can agree with me. Defensively, the Bears are not what they used to be. As a matter of fact, they don’t even have the best defense in their division. Minnesota is the best defensive team so for us to be sitting here talking about how great there defense is, is absurd to me.
How to win the game: THROW, THROW, THROW. Matt Ryan should put on a “Passing Clinic” out there. So parents at home, if you have kids that wanna be future NFL starting quarterbacks, have them watch the game Sunday, October 12th, 2008 @ 1:00 P.M. WITH A NOTEPAD Because not only as a Falcons fan, but as a former high school starting quarterback, this should be fun to watch!!!!

Thought RODDY WHITE was shut down for this game. Something about practice and an injury.

Falcons’ fans, there is bad news lumbering down from the North in the persons of the Bad News Bears, AKA, The Monsters of the Midway. And more likely than not, some may have already entered the city as we speak. But the good news is that of the thirty-two teams in the National Football League, the Chicago Bears may be a preferable foe for the Falcons.
Let’s take a cursory look at the offenses etc… The strength of the Falcons/Bears is the running game; a good offensive line and two quality running backs. That combination gives the Falcons/Bears the ability to shorten the game via sustained drives; advantage Atlanta Falcons. And should sustained drives occur stalling at one point or another, resulting in three points instead of six, the Falcons will almost certainly win the game. Even if we give up six points at the end of long ball control drives, the clock works in our favor because the game will have been shortened. Or “should it be an old-school, knock down, drag out game”, three plays and out for each team; advantage, Atlanta Falcons. And you know that the Falcons’ passing game is ahead of the Bears’ at this point; advantage, Atlanta Falcons.
Last Sunday, the Falcons exorcised the ghosts at Lambeau Field. But this game beckons for another remedy. The Falcons must tranquilize the Bears in order to win. And during the game, stumbling, fumbling, and blundering are the natural results of sedation… But don’t despair Chicago fans, after we have achieved victory at the Georgia Dome, the proper mixture of barbiturates will be immediately administered. And when seven days have elapsed, the Bear will be able to secure their “bearings” in the nick of time to maul their next opponent, the Minnesota Vikings.
Go Falcons go!

CHICAGO,
both of the Bear’s losses came from a couple of teams from our division, the NFC South. Indianapolis is still a team that’s trying to rediscover its identity. Philadelphia isn’t exactly a powerhouse. Your third win is against one of those teams that “anyone can beat.” We’ll see what happens. Typically, you don’t see any team in the NFL roll up a 45 point shutout. Not saying that they Falcons will win, but I finally have a little faith in this rebuilding team.

If Roddy can’t play I think Finneran will have a good game. Our bread and butter is the run. We must impose our will, then mix some play action passes with Ryan rolling out to get him away from the blitzing Urlacher. Special teams need to kick away from Hester. Stop the Bears from throwing the quick slants over the middle. Home team will win at the Dome.

Kyle Orton hasn’t just found it. He’s what he’s always been. The Bear defense lost two games when they were leading in the 4th qtr. Good teams don’t really do that. One of those games was a HOME game to Bob Griese. In fact they should have lost to Philly.
Tommy Harris coming back is no big deal because even the Bears fans know that he’s been dogging it all season long.
If the dome is loud and the crowd makes it tough on Orton the Falcons win this game.

Okay, let me begin this by saying that the Bears have talent on offense and a battle hardened veteran defense that can really make Atlanta look pretty bad if they come with anything less than their A-game, and even with their A-game, they may not be able to take out the Bears, but the question is, are they really supposed to?
Here’s the thing, this is a team that wasn’t supposed to win one game this season, but here we are, a full third of the way through the season, and they’re one game out of the divisional lead. Now, as Chicago so eloquently pointed out, the teams that Atlanta has beaten really aren’t all that impressive. I’d be the first to agree. Detroit, well, Detroit… Kansas City is having a terrible year, and for the first time in almost two decades Green Bay is without a hall of famer at the helm. Now, I’ll say this for Aaron Rogers, he may not be Brett Farve, but if you’d stuck another numnber on his chest last week, he could have made a decent substitute. As for the other two teams, they’re bad, but over my many, painful, years of being a Falcon’s fan, I’ve seen this team suffer inexplicable loses to teams that couldn’t beat anyone else. Part of being taken seriously as a professional football team is beating the teams that are sorry. The fact that Atlanta has done that this season tells me that their future is pretty bright.
Now, Chicago, if indeed that is your real name. If Atlanta is so insignificant and your team is so much stronger, why waste your time on this blog? It almost sounds like you’re giving yourself reasons why Chicago should win today. Hey listen, I understand, if my team had suffered fourth quarter let-downs in their two loses, I’d be looking for some reassurance too. Here’s the thing, for me personally, I know that my team has a very small chance against yours, but there is nothing more dangerous than a young well coached team looking to prove itself. There’s also the fact that any given Sunday anything can happen. Oh, and as for the Packers, if your boys go to Lambough field and Aaron Rogers has the same type of game against you that he had against us, we’ll see how good ya’ll look at the end of it.

Gee whiz, we’ll never figure out who Chicago is….
Anyway, how about Matt Ryan? Kid is 8-9 for 107 yards…in the first quarter. And he has made some awesome throws. We still need to get into the endzone, though. Two drives, two scores, and all it will take is one touchdown for them to have the lead. This is unacceptable. All the same, who would’ve known the passing game would be doing this well?
Tell you another thing…our running game is not doing anything at all.
I’m sure that the normal multiple personality moron will say that Ryan hasn’t done a thing and all credit goes to everyone else…wait for it, wait for it…

All for naught if we can’t get in that endzone, though. Three field goals is better than two, but….

Ryan is showing me nothing but arm strength. It’s crazy to say he doesn’t have it. Oddly enough, that’s what all I’ve been hearing from the commentators each game. They are so impressed with him. Each game one of them says “if you thought Ryan didn’t have enough arm strength, you know better now.”
I like this kid. He’s improving right in front of our eyes.
Oh, and our defense is stout. We’re not even getting torched in the secondary as much as usual. That would indicate better pass pressure.
Ooops…just gave up a big running play but have to give Chicago credit on that play call. It was a great idea, as we were blitzing…

Another field goal is right. Better than no score at oall or a turnover. Score is 12-3 which means we are winning. The running game is a wash right now so the only thing that keeps driving us toward any scores is the passing game. So that means Ryan is leading us to victory.
Ryan has 16 passes for 183 yards. That comes to 11.43 yards per pass. I don’t see no 5 yard passes in all that.

Ouch. Gave up that TD, but Forte really made that drive happen. Time for the offense to punch it into the endzone and stop playing around. Let’s get it done fellas.
Sarin, some credit has to be given to the defense for how this game is going, not just Ryan. He’s been great, but it ain’t over yet. We really need for this running game to get going. Can’t leave it all up to the rookie QB…although he is showing that he can deliver.

@T-Town Dawg, Matt Ryan has alot to do to earn everyone’s respect. soory that i’m not in love w/him after 5 games. Matt Ryan can play, he supposed too, he is in the NFL for a reason, you know? No matter how good Ryan plays, Vick is still my QB, and he will prove (again) that he is better. just my opinion, nothing more, nothing less.

VickSupporter, what do you mean he will prove again that he is better than Ryan. He has never been better than Ryan is right now as a 5 game starter, Check the stats, Vick was never a good QB, just a good athlete.

@T-Town Dawg, I guess coaching, the scheme, draft decisions, and the organization had it all together when Vick was here, correct? Ryan definitely has it better in those area than Vick did, especially by hiring a real coach, demoting McKay, and Blank letting the GM and coach do their jobs. Big difference. I’m in no way saying that Vick was a perfect QB, I just believe he’s better than Ryan, overall. Matt Ryan can play, I’ll say it again, i am impressed.

Brilliant drive and TD score by Ryan/White. Looks like a leader and a winner to me.
But how about Norwood on that kickoff return! I almost can’t believe we are going to win this game. How good is this team? Defense made a HELL of a goal line stand. Wow. We are taking this game. It’s still plenty early in the season, but we have started the second quarter of the season in fine fashion.

I’ll agree that Ryan is not better than Vick yet. But that is a silly argument to begin with.
How can a guy who is just playing in his sixth game be better than a guy who had played in the league for several years? That doesn’t even make sense.
This organization definitely is in better shape than it was when Vick was here. Before, the organization was very stupidly relying on Vick to do everything. It was Vick this and Vick that. He can’t do everything. That’s failure waiting to happen. And it did happen.
What matter is that this team is in better shape than it has been, playing better ball that it has been. If you’re a Falcon fan, that’s what matters most. Not who is taking snaps under center.

Yeah Ray, a better comparison would be both guys in their rookie years.
I can’t believe that throw by Ryan with 11 seconds to go. You wouldn’t see Vick make that play, not in his rookie year or ever really. We win. We just beat a GOOD team. Ryan just passed for 300 yards with 1 touchdown and 0 interceptions. Vick is still in jail and we are still winning. Got something else you want to say VICK SUPPORTER?

I’ve been trying to be guardedly optomistic so far, saying that we maybe get 6 wins, have another good draft and then maybe make a playoff run next year, or the year after, but F it. I believe we have a good shot at the playoffs this year. MR2 is the real deal. He’s going to have a few rough games this year, but that’s every quarterback.
Will all the fans who wanted us to draft Glen Dorsey stand up now?

WOOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOOO!
Who says we can’t be a good team with a winning record? Who says Mike Smith and his crew aren’t doing the job right? Who says Ryan can’t throw, lead, or win? He played like a veteran quarterback today! What a hell of a throw to get us into field goal position! No way do we win and Elam have a chance at redemption without that throw and catch by Jenkins!
Elam, you redeemed yourself. Now you don’t have to pick which locker you were about to get stuffed into.
Ryan and the offense did not quit, did not hang their heads, did not flip off the crowd. Instead, they went right to work and made the right plays to put us in a position to win. Nobody can say ANYTHING adverse about that. Anybody still want to talk noise about drafting Ryan NOW?
Yeah. Take that, b!tches!

As I told you in a previous post; Tony Dungy told me Ryan had everything you look for in a Pro Quarterback and my other neighbor here in Tampa John Gruden said” I wish we had him right now cause he is going to be an all pro quarterback in short time for a long time.” They both said if you saw his pro, pre draft work out at BC you knew he was the real deal and Gruden was right, he has a stronger arm right now than most pro quarterbacks.
Ryan is a stud and he’ll never embarrass this town, he’ll make us all proud on and off the field.
Ryan was a steal and as Gruden said, Bill Parcells’s and Miami made a major mistake for not taking him number 1.

RichBrave,
You called it straight up. Nice prediction. I wasn’t so sure myself. But you know what? We didn’t stun those guys with a last second field goal. We had them the entire time, we just let them back in it before taking back what was ours. That is what impressed me.
Stendec,
Come on bro’. You have to admit: not only did Roddy play, but he played like a true pro. He’s still leading the NFL in catches or yards I think. Give the guy some credit. He’s better than ever.

THe people saying stuff like “mike vick is still in jail, take that vick supporter” are just as bad as the poeple who needlessly trash MR2. Can’t we just celebrate this win without talking trash about Mike Vick? Mike Vick is not a part of this team right now. He had nothing to do with this win.
Congrats to MR2. Today was your real coming out party. Now just build on this and this could be the msot special year in atlanta sports since the ‘91 Braves (although i don’t think there is any way the Falcons can pass that, but then again, this team jsut continues to pleasantly surprise me).

Roan, imagine if we drafted Dorsey. Not that he didn’t look like a damn good pick but he would not be winning games for us like this, that’s for sure.
I’m just enjoying the winning and the feeling that things are going in the right direction. There’s a real plan, and real contingencies for when the original plan doesn’t work. Mike Smith gives us that. Mularkey gives us that. Ryan gives us that. White gives us that.
This team was to be built on the run, and I believe that it is still vital to our success. Yet here we are winning against one the the league’s best defenses by throwing the ball. With a rookie quarterback. When all the experts were saying how horrible we’d be.
Meanwhile, I’m watching the Cardinals and Cowboys see how many times they can give each other the ball….

Ray, I’m not going to lie, I wasn’t absolutely sure about matt Ryan coming out of college. Unfortunately for me I don’t get to attend NFL workouts. But one thing that I did say over and over was Dorsey’s injury history was very unsettling. And even if he becomes a great player I believe he will have somewhat short career. Defensive tackles by nature usually begin to decline in there late 20’s. Look no further than Marcus stroud who was traded at age 29 for a mid round draft pick. Hell a great QB can play well into there late thirties. And like you said even on a good day they don’t have the same impact on a game that a great QB can.

What we now have is the foundation for a winning system. The best will want to be here and only the best will be allowed. I look forward to future draft picks.

No injuries, I don’t think. What a game. What a game. I left for the gym after Chicago kicked their extra point, and listened on the radio. Unreal. Ryan is fantastic. Roddy White is catching literally everything. Everything he can lay a finger on, he catches it. After Elam missed the 33 yarder, it seemed Falcon bad luck had found it’s way back.
What a game. Ryan is un-freaking-believable. The folks that wanted Dorsey know that now.
Turner looked either tired, injured, or just plain inept. I hope he is just tired from all the carries he’s been getting. He looked like the easily tipped over TJ Duckett.
Yes, Ryan is better right now, at game 6, than Vick the dog-hanger, ever was.
On to Filthadelphia!

You got it right last week. I got lucky this time. But the point is, the trajectory of this team is UP not waiting for the jail-house door to open. That’s old news. A win against the BEARS - that’s good news, much to the chagrin of one of my son-in-laws.
Now give the city one more great draft, a couple of FA picks, and be Division Champs bound. DT, weakside LB, CB, SS, OG, backup T and a fleet 6’3” receiver.
It’s possible to get solid players from the last picks in a deep draft. Witness: CHRIS HORTON, U.C.L.A. SS, 7th round pick for the ‘SKINS in ‘08. Bag-man CERRATO and the scouts worked magic in the last draft.
FATHER ABRAHAM and GRADY-crush prevail on D-line, FLYIN’ RYAN and the offense get the job done on offense.
Only got to see the last second of the game live. The REDSKINS lost in the same scenerio in D.C. just before. When they’re that close, you’re lucky to win, or deserve to lose depending on your personal perspective.
Good to see the city get some much deserved love from one of their own. Don’t sell this team and its organization short. These guys are playin’ for keeps.

@Vcik Supporter-Your act is getting old. No one is calling Ryan the best ever. but he is good….and he is getting BETTER. You pull for a person-You pull for a skin color and a name on the back of a jersey. Most REAL falcon fans pull for the emblem on the helmet. You should try that sometime. You and Vick supporter 2 AKA Ryan sucks jsut need to get over the fact that Ryan is actually a good QB. Why root against the Falcons? Can you guys answer that. Why root against what used to be your favorite team? If Vick was the QB would you still cheer the other team?
Bottom line is your act are old and every week your Matt Ryan and the Atlanta Falcons keep proving you wrong and you can’t stand it.
Now on to the game-Should have had more TD drives as always. Jenkins dropped one though. Defense palyed really well except for the corners. Man Houston got toasted the whole second half. But the goal line stand was the difference. Offense looked good. Good to see the coaches still keep Chicago D honest withth run even though we only averaged 2/3YPC. Ryan palyed really good. THE OFFENSIVE LINE IS PALYING OUTSTANDING. PERIOD. They deserve way mroe credit than they are getting.
Over all at 4-2…..I don’t think we could be any happier with this team. I actually wish we weren’t on a off week to keep it going. But we’re 40% through the season and at 4-2 OUR FALCONS ARE PLAYING GRET FOOTBALL!!!!

Hey DOL, I caught up with Steve Wyche last week at Little River Grill in Lawrenceville (even though Jerious Norwood and Chuck Oliver didn’t show). Have you ever thought about doing something similar? Like, meeting up with one of the Falcons at a restaurant/bar 1 night a week and fielding some questions from the fans for an hour or two? I think it would be great to see more of the players out in the community talking to the fans. McCray’s Tavern in Lawrenceville would be the perfect place, by the way. Let’s hook it up.
