Few wins equals few fans
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
The threat of Sunday’s game vs. the 49ers being blacked out brought a harsh reality home to some of the Falcons players Wednesday: Fan loyalty can’t be taken for granted.
Veteran linebacker Keith Brooking has been through plenty of good and bad times with the franchise and when he was told that approximately 3,000 tickets were still available, he was surprised — sort of.
“This has been frustrating and been a disappointment for everyone,” Brooking said. “Our fans have the right to make whatever decision they want to make on that. When you’re 1-6, it’s all about supply and demand. Simple economics. Obviously, there’s not a lot of demand for our football team right now.”
The Falcons have until 1 p.m. Thursday to sell the remaining tickets or else the game would be blacked out.

well arthur, you ruined the tailgating experience 2 years ago getting rid of all the sponsers and games in the parking lots. you got rid of a hall of fame coach. now you have all yes men working for you, paying most of the salary to 6-8 players. now next year your going to lose more of us, the people who spend our money on your hobby.

compare the falcons to the braves. at braves games you can carry your own food and drink inside. at the falcons you cant. at the braves you can be on the interstate 10 minutes after the game. in the tailgating lots at the falcons it takes an hour or more just to get out of the parking lot. at the braves you know they will win half of the games or better. at the falcons? i bet dan reeves is laughing his butt off. it took him 4 years to build a good franchise. after blank got rid of him it took mackay and company only one year to tear it down.
