8 predictions for last 9 games
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
Hey gang, I’m in the process of getting some updated free agent lists, so hopefully I might be able to post those at some point next week. Thanks for the suggestion, though.
Since we’re kind of on the subject, what position do you think the Falcons need to address first in the draft? At this point, it would be hard not to look at the secondary since depth and top-level talent seem to be more shallow there than at any other position.
Some random thoughts heading into the final nine games:
The Falcons will continue to lead the league in rushing, but they won’t have as many big games as they’ve had.
Michael Vick will get better in the passing game, but again his improvement will come at the hands of Alge Crumpler, whose impact to the offense can’t be overstated.
There will continue to be inconsistency at wide receiver but Roddy White will finally get going.
FB Justin Griffith should become more of a factor.
Kicker/punter Michael Koenen will be the team’s top special-teams player.
Patrick Kerney, as good as he played, will have an even better run because of the attention more teams will pay to Rod Coleman.
LB Demorrio Williams will gain some national attention because of his playmaking skills. He just seems so natural on the weak side.
DeAngelo Hall will have a shoe deal with Nike before the New Year.
Let’s have some fun with this. Come up with your own list. Keep it clean and reasonable.
