RSS And You

I’ve been meaning to tell you there’s a new way to keep track of Get Schooled’s daily discussions.

Some of you — I’m thinking of Jeff, specifically — already seem to have caught on. So I’m letting the rest of you in on the secret.

Instead of feverishly checking the site every day to see if something new has posted, you now can get automatic e-mail notifications or updated links to personalized Web pages whenever I post a new blog — no more fuming because it’s 12 o’clock and Bridget hasn’t posted anything.

It’s called RSS.

Check it out. Try it out. Embrace the technology.

You (and I) will be happy you did.

Sorry to bust your bubble, Bridget, but I still check the old fashioned way. Difference is that since my programs take a few seconds to compile, and then a few more to refresh the page with the new code, I literally have dozens of chances to check during any given day. And if the work is more minute - change one line and test the page type stuff - it can balloon up into the hundreds of times per day…

Mea culpa, Jeff. Sometimes you post so quickly after I do that I thought you must be getting the RSS feeds.

If you decide to try it, let me know how you like it.

Commenting is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. M-F, except on Tuesday when it's open until 9 p.m.
