Robert, I can empathize—I did 15 SDUs last summer.

This summer it’s my turn to play: I’m doing some independent travel overseas for 6 weeks.

Family 4 day weekend vacation to PCB, planning for next year, and moving to South GA for my new school!

Prolly try to get off by myself somewhere secluded some, and as always there will be much books, video games, and movies to be had! (Starts with X3 as soon as the kids leave!!)

I’ll be planning my youngest’s wedding, attending a weeklong workshop, and laying the groundwork for getting my program industry certified next year.

I also have several house plans lined up to draw for folks. I draw them for donations to our high school’s SkillsUSA club.

For fun I’ll be visiting my sweet little grandboy and his folks. Life is very very good!

Working a low paying summer job until I start my first teaching gig in July. Man I wish school was back in session already!

I’m glad to say my kids will all be attending at least 2 camps this summer, some academic, some band, and some religious. I also hope to take advantage of several Technology centers set up in DeKalb so they can improve on their keyboarding skills. I don’t mind the requirements for typed papers but at least attempt to help our kids learn the QWERTY keyboard.

Everyone is looking forward to going to Hilton Head during July. The countdown has begun.

Believe it or not, one of my younger children is already missing school. She reminds me of Jason, the youngest child in the cartoon strip, FoxTrot. :)

After 32 years of teaching I am starting on my next big adventure this summer…retirement. I’ll take a couple days to recharge my batteries and then help prepare for my daughter’s wedding. I’ll be doing more therapy dog visits and am going to start obedience competition with my lovedor. When the cash gets tight or I get desparate, I’ll try substitute teaching. For right now, it looks like endless summer for me. Can’t wait!

When a relative retired from teaching several years ago, she said she could hardly stop smiling long enough to brush her teeth! Best of luck!

The family is going on 3 different out-of-town vacations of 1 week each.

The kids have VBS, French camp and Space camp for a week each.

And I am trying to get a Food service permit and certificate of occupancy in order to use a second church site to house the 5th and 6th grade students as a second campus for my kid’s charter school in August. This is giving me ulsers since I DO NOT want to be in the AJC for this issue come August.
