Election Day

Happy Election Day!

I admit that dating, relationships, or sadly, sex is not on my mind right now. I am totally consumed with polls, pundits, and politics today. I am diagnosing myself with election anxiety disorder.

Politics have been a great distraction for me. If I wasn’t out, then I was on AJC’s website, watching CNN, or reading blogs. What am I going to do when this all ends? Oh right, act normal!

It’s been quite a year in politics, with many twists and turns. Some would even say that voting has started to resemble dating. Instead of focusing on issues, too much of the discussion has been about who we “identify” with. Or who compels us the most. Who do we feel a connection with the most. Do you think this was a good trend or a bad one?

Did this election season impact your dating life? Are you glad it’s almost over?

Whatever happens today, it will be a day to remember, one for the history books, and we have you covered:

Election Day Dinner Ideas

Election Party Plans

Election Day coverage

Whatever you do, please make sure you get out and vote!

Am I the only early voter on here?

I personally am glad that it is almost over. When I cast my vote I did so with hope however with the knowledge of knowing what will be will be. I waited in line with 2 of my friends for over 3 hours last week to be one voice among millions. History has already been made. Obama has done what Jesse Jackson and the like could not. I wish him and his family all the best and hope for a brighter future for us all.

As far as this election affecting my relationships, family and friends, it did in the beginning when Hillary was running. That created the biggest difference in opinions among those that I love. When she was ousted we already pretty much was on the same plain.

GO OBAMA!!!

Did this election season impact your dating life? Nope. But it did help me learn alot about so called “open-minded” people. Never have I learned so much about so many people so soon.

Are you glad it’s almost over? YES I am no more political ads or phone calls.

I am not watching a bit of election coverage tonight because frankly it has been covered to death. Politics during my football game..it was blasphemy.

If people are not going to vote you can’t make them..you can ask and then move the hell on. I swore the next campaign worker that came to my door was going to get the cursing out of a lifetime and all campaign lit was deposited in the trashcan immediately. I don’t mind people supporting their candidates but this stuff got out of hand this year.

One of my friends and her beau is throwing a party this evening. I am not sure if I will be able to make it. Even if Obama does not win it is worth celebrating the difference he has already made. He has opened up avenues for our future generation that was only been a distant dream to some.

My youngest son has kept up with more coverage of the election than I would have thought. He had one project that he had to do about the election and from that he has followed it. I admire his views on it. I admire the way he views Obama and his ethnic background.

My oldest came home to vote. He wants to be a Georgia voter. Good for him, I guess.

Good morning everyone. I voted last Tuesday and have been wearing my voter sticker everyday. I voted with the hope of a new day in Washington, a new mentality. We cannot continue down the wobbly road we’ve been on for so long. I am very excited and can’t wait for the polls to close so I can finally know who our next President will be.

GO OBAMA for reaching that “ceiling” no other has been able to reach.

Kym I agree, the political ads just get annoying after a while. What makes me chuckle are the ones that are aired back to back talking about the other candidate. It likes the last thing you hear is what sticks in your head the most.

It did not affect my dating/relationship thingy.

However I can say one thing this election got people to talking. Well I know Atlanta is more friendly than NYC. But I’ve seen something I had not seen since 9/11 and the Blackout, people actually talking to total strangers. For some that’s not a big deal. But in a city where you live in your own little circle, people stepped outside of that and started talking to each other. Some leaded to some very heated moments and close to yelling. Then a few of my associates have gotten dates out of it. So I feel its been very positive more so than negative.

Good morning to all the registered voters! LOL. I voted early weeks ago so here I am.

Did this election season impact your dating life? Are you glad it’s almost over?

The election season has impacted my dating life, as it has brought me closer to the man that I date. I realized he is smarter and more aware of world and election issues than I previously thought. And I’ve really enjoyed talking to him about them and getting his viewpoint.

But yes, I’m glad this is all coming to and end. I’m tired of all the talking and attacks by both parties. I do not like Sarah Palin and hopes that she doesn’t bounce too hard when she gets kicked back to Alaska (hopefully).

There are a million parties going on tonight, now we just have to figure out whether to join a crowd or keep it intimate. The champagne is chillin!

My in-laws are still staying with us and the son and his wife are the first mixed repub/democ couple that I have ever met. They argue their political views openly and it is interesting because it does not seem to affect the relationship in general. I think the biggest conflict would be financial. What one candidate is saying he will do for the economy versus what another is saying he wants to do. Very interesting.

right foot stomp, left foot stomp. You cha cha with your right, you cha cha with your left. You turn to the right, and move to the left Back it up! … and jump!

I just had the one of best Momentous Experience in my life! At the poll i was surrounded by some funny and enthusiastic young people for 2+ hours! It was pretty cool. One youngman 18y/o said he woke up at 4:30am to get in line so he could vote early and be on his way to his 12:30 class on time. He als had a group of us laughing about putting the other candidate in a fenced in dog-yard with some Mike Vick retired dogs. I enjoyed chatting with the young adults. I told one of them they made me feel like I belong in the other line with the silver rail along the wall…hahaha…I enjoyed every moment of laughing while waiting to vote. My hope is that this will be my second time putting my voted president into office.

We have all the TVs here at the office on Election Coverage and I will be checking updates all day.

I watched the Obama rally from Virginia lastnight, and as Barak spoke, i thought about how much he has said Change the last 2 years, and i am hopeful that this man will be President. It may take 8+ years but we have to start NOW.

I think many of us get life twisted right here - Instead of focusing on issues, too much of the discussion has been about who we “identify” with. I’ve been accused of being objective to a fault b/c I treat most of life’s decisions as business. And I try not to forget Business Never Personal. Note to self: Add EPMD to playlist.

Good luck w/ finding solace in toon town, Kym. I landed on Nickelodeon the other day and the Kids Pick the President http://www.nick.com/shows/specials/kpp07/?requestid=148522 show was on. You just reminded me to check the results. It’s actually kinda scary cuz from the looks of it, these kids may have put more in depth analysis into their pseudo picks than a gang of adults b/c uhh well see my comment above.

@Raqi

For me, it’s not “politics” that are taboo, it’s discussing the differences reasonbly.

This election has people talking. Be it the watercooler, the office, the train, even the lounge after work.

What has happened is that BHO has changed the way you can discuss politics. It’s no longer about right and wrong or cultural issues; it’s become about policy.

And that what this country was founded on, public/private debate of issues.

And I know that you learn a lot about a person based on their efficacity regarding debate.

If you believe something strongly, and are able to congently relay the reasons for your belief, regardless of wether on agrees with you or not, they’re more likely to respect your opinion as stated.

All that said, I’m getting to it tonight! Virginia and Indiana are the key to victory. Vote early, vote often (for my Chicago heads!) and we got us one!

My president is Black, my Lambo is blue, I’ll be __ if my rims ain’t tooo! <—-Theme of the day!

mqew The “spread the wealth” comment has been tossed around the most. LOL

This is the first time I have ever told anyone to make themselves at home in my house and meant. I tell you when you have people in your house you have to be host to them and they pretty much don’t do anything until you do. Well I told them to make themselves at home. Whatever they needed, find it. Every room in the house with the exception my bedroom is free range. I wanted to be able to go into my room and close the door and not feel like I am being anti-social or ignoring my guest. I am glad they took me literally. They cook for themselves and move about as if they have been living there since day one. It’s out of the norm for me but I like it best.

Now what even funnier is when my son arrived I chastised him because I told him before not to show up unannounced. He doesn’t live there anymore. He can’t just walk up there when he feels like. If he plans to sleep there when in town he better call and make sure it is okay first. That’s how my parents raised us. Once we were out and in our own place their house was no longer our house. Now it will always be home but not his house to come and go as he pleases. He is a man now. He has his own family. He has a “mock” wife that he shares a place of residence with. LOL There is only one man of my house and it is not him.

Morning voters…I actually cast my ballot on Friday, but decided to save my voter sticker to wear today. This is such a historic time in American history. I’m so excited that I can barely think about what I’m paid to do today. I’m on ajc and cnn all day long.

I brought in my jeans and Barack Obama t-shirt to slip into after work. As I was riding up the elevator to my floor another woman got on and was talking about how she wished she could have voted three times. She didn’t identify her candidate but she looked at my Obama shirt (hanging neatly over my jeans…of course this was on purpose)with disdain. I just looked at her and gave her the biggest smile I possibly could. When I stepped off the elevator I said, and have an outstanding day. BISH!!

I’m partying with my people tonight, and I don’t care what time the party ends, I’ll be at work, on time, bright and early Wednesday. I will remember this day/night for the rest of my life.

Given the widespread election fraud of 2000, 2004 and 2006, perpetrated by Republicans and successfully prosecuted as such for activities in swing states such as Ohio and Florida, people have every right to expect that today will bring yet more election fraud.

That people will vote for Democrats more, across the board, is not in question. That Republicans will conduct election fraud is expected. What is in question is whether the election fraud that Republicans will likely conduct will be enough to overcome Democrat margins.

It’s not only about the Presidential election. Congressional seats will make more of a difference than who the President is.

I’m not a conspiracy theorist but I do hope this is a smooth election!

Whatever candidate wins HAS to be better than what we’ve endure with President Cheney and Sideshow Bush - so let’s at least have the optimism that things will get a tad better in the near future. Let’s also hope we course-correct for the long term as well!

PoppaG I had a feeling of pride with a mixture of wanting to break my foot off in someone’s behind, last Friday.

I had no problems at all Thursday morning. We had each other’s back if one needed to go to the restroom. That was one thing that I loved. Even if people had different choices, all were cool with each other.

The next time that there is early/advanced voting, I think that there should be at least one weekend for those who can’t do it during the week.

IMO in this election, Voter Apathy is the real loser. Those who support Obama are passionate. Those who support McCain are passionate. At least for this election, people are exercising their right to vote. Hopefully, many of the same people will vote in the mid-term elections of 2010. Congress’ actions are just as important (if not more important) than the President & Vice President. Congress is the one responsible for the earmarks and promises in the bills. Has anyone read about some of the promises included in the Bailout bill? That is where a lot of money gets wasted. What’s up with the wooden arrows in the bailout bill

Okay, Powell was a “Tom” but he knew it, never argued about it, but Steele purports to represent a large population of republican Blacks (sorry, Darrell is the only one I know of) and he be on Fox News shucking and jiving like he starred in Bamboolzed!

Happy Election Day Blog Fam! - Yes, I am glad that it is coming to an end because sometimes I want to throw a brick at the tv when I have on CNN! I can also stay off the political blogs and actually get something done and a good night sleep!

I voted Friday. It was a blast! I got to the polls 1 hour before they opened and then had to wait 2 hours after that but I did not mind. Texted and called people and drank coffee while in line. Struck up a convo with a dude in line. His wife walked up and turned out she went to high school w/ me! Saw 2 others from school, so I had a mini-reunion! People would clap for those that voted for the first time! I had such a good feeling, like never before!

Yes, everywhere I’ve gone the last few months people have been talking about the election! At church, in the line at the grocery store, at my friend’s wedding this past weekend! It has captivated the country and the world like never before. Brought a lot of things to the light!

Yes, I’m ready for that space cadet to go back to Alaska!

No, the election did not affect my relationship because me & SO are on the same page politically. We’ve had fun talking about it actually. Will be watching the returns with him & the kids tonight. I made some White Bean Chicken Chilli for the 1st time to serve tonight. I must say, for a first time it’s pretty good!

We both know that ain’t gonna happen. OPEC has already cut production. I think that they cut 1.5 million barrels a day.

However, I know many folks that were forced into mass transit due to the prices that like it enough to keep doing it. Those people that take the Xpress bus have learned that taking the bus keeps them from having to work late…lol. They have to leave with they ride.

So, I don’t expect it to stay this low, but maybe it won’t go back as high.

My dad was talking about writing our Represenatives and Senators about authoring a bill making this a holiday. We should all do this. I’m sure that this has been brought up in the past, but I’m not sure why it hasn’t been made a reality.

Law 24

Play the Perfect Courtier

The perfect courtier thrives in a world where everything revolves around power and political dexterity. He has mastered the art of indirection; he flatters, yields to superiors, and asserts power over others in the mot oblique and graceful manner. Learn and apply the laws of courtiership and there will be no limit to how far you can rise in the court.

Law 25

Re-Create Yourself

Do not accept the roles that society foists on you. Re-create yourself by forging a new identity, one that commands attention and never bores the audience. Be the master of your own image rather than letting others define if for you. Incorporate dramatic devices into your public gestures and actions – your power will be enhanced and your character will seem larger than life.

Law 27

Play on People’s Need to Believe to Create a Cultlike Following

People have an overwhelming desire to believe in something. Become the focal point of such desire by offering them a cause, a new faith to follow. Keep your words vague but full of promise; emphasize enthusiasm over rationality and clear thinking. Give your new disciples rituals to perform, ask them to make sacrifices on your behalf. In the absence of organized religion and grand causes, your new belief system will bring you untold power.

Has not affected my dating. However, I have learned that I am a racist since I do not support Obama’s Marxist / Robinhood philosophy. The silver lining in an Obama presidency is that all barriers are now broken for minorities. Perhaps we’ll now find we have no use for Jesse and Sharpton and minorities can begin to excel and make good choices rather than feel they are still being persecuted and have no chance to better themselves or take part in the American dream. Hopefully, the female Obama supporter interviewed on TV is wrong, and she still will have to pay for her own gas and her mortgage.

I voted last Tuesday. We didn’t get stickers here. I’m so glad Texas is not considered a swing state - I was in Ohio this past weekend and during the evening news, there were no commercials at all! Only campaign ads. I never thought I’d long for commercials.

My reason for voting SpongeBob are my own because it was my way of saying I was dissatisfied with the candidates and the govt. My dissatisfaction not yours, not Elmo’s, not Bert and Erine mine. What you should be fing ashamed of is that you would have the gall to tell me how I should think or vote for that matter simple because it is not appealing to the mass. To this againPeace sign up index down** The fight for the right to vote was not about having the right to vote for a black man..it was about having the freaking right to vote period. Even if that means voting against what lame azz-jacklegs like you think I should be doing.

Hahahaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa Booful, For some reason that really made me laugh out loud! The visual of folks salivating at the thought of tearing into him. I wondered if you read it for tone, not content. It’s not surprising that he’s remained firm in his views. But yeah, they know where to find him if they really want to debate.

And AMEN to the reminder that every day ain’t gotta be a fight and every comment ain’t gotta be replied to, y’all.

@Kym

Reasoned debate:

You really believe that waiting in line for 7 hours and 15 minutes (not to mention the people behind you) gives you the right to make a mockery of the right to vote? Really?

On top of that, you voiced your dissatisfaction by holding other people up to make a statement that won’t make a difference?

You can’t see how selfish that is?

You can call me lame coming from you, it’s a compliment but as an adult, for you to make such an ignorant decision and somehow feel justified, or not see how it was wrong….makes me sad.

But it does prove several suspicions I’ve had based on your posting history.

But, I’m done. You’ve made your decision as have thousands of others, so…that’s it I guess

Yes, so glad its almost over - and that THIS WHITE GEORGIAN HAS VOTED FOR OBAMA! I’ve noticed in my own community that racial divides still exist and its really eye-opening - isn’t this 2008??? I’ve also noticed that “redneck” has a special meaning in the same community - namely “dumb redneck” seems to be the norm. I’m hoping they all take the McCain/(really dumb) Palin down! I’ll also welcome non-political commercials yet again, only slightly. Has it affected my dating? No. I don’t date at all any longer. I find that in my age-group, the men out there are looking for a woman who can support them in their retirement, and I’m not that person! Lets see now..they want to retire but you still work, they want to pursue their golf but you still wash their dishes…they want to be sure you visit their families but you have to forgo your own every holiday…NOT! Sex? What’s that! Been there, done that too, and as long as people want it before marriage, and you can’t depend on what ELSE they’re bringing to the wedding, not going there!

I see the ajc deleted my post so I will try this again.

Dan You can be sad, get glad, or scratch your azz for all I care. My vote does not have to be justified to you or to anyone else. That last I looked our country may have a two party system but nothing says I have to agree with the antics of either one. And if that means I vote for None of the above, spongebob, mickey, speed racer or whoever then that is my right. Like I said those who think they are diverse only see pass the end of their noses. Now I have spoken my peace and counted to 3 so you can say, type or stick your fingers up your azz. The difference in this debate is I respect your right to say what you like now you can respect this middle finger and back off.

Amazon you are right President was not the only thing on the ballot. My mixture of pride and stick a foot in behind came from the fact that if you are willing to stand here for 7 hours for this “major” election why would you not stand for “smaller” elections because believe it or not those are the ones that count. Our nation was setup with a majority of power going to the state and those state elections count a helluva lot more than people think.

It’s amazing the affect this election is having on people. While having lunch with a co-worker he said that he could see Obama’s lose generating a riot of some sort. I never really gave that any thought, but from a lot of other comments that I have heard he could be right. The amazing turnout of first time voters is just astounding. People here at work are saying this is their first or the first time since many moons ago. And not all of these voters are for Obama. Some of them have come out from under the rocks to try to make sure he doesn’t get in office.

You would think that would be farfetched but just being on here and around a some of the people I work with the time that I have is evidence of how the most minor inane statements can provoke hostility.

It’s a real phenomenon. I’ve had calls about people “tooling up” if the election gets “stolen”.

Two facts; 1) everyone should have been outraged in 2000 the way that election was called, everybody.

But then 2) if you have this much exicitement, this much anticipation, this much hope riding on the outcome of what is actuality is arbitrary, then nevres are exposed and it could set this country off.

While I don’t advocate it, I could see it happening. Luckily I’m in TX where I can get a gun at a gas station. So if it comes to it…who want to mess wit de rass class bumba?

I don’t think they’ll be riots because Obama will win decisively.

I voted for Obama because I felt he was the more articulate candidate who has a better grasp of what most Americans go through compared to John McCain. I researched both a great deal and voted based on that.

“Color” was never a consideration, nor should it have been; nor should it be for anyone. Nor should women vote for Palin merely because she is a woman. Any voting without research is completely ignorant and I feel that those people shouldn’t be allowed to vote. Period.

For anyone to vote or not to vote for a candidate based on gender or race shows me that the United States still has not attained the level it needs to be.

But I’m glad it’s not about race for so many people, because if it were, Obama wouldn’t be where he is right now. So I’m proud of all who’ve seen past color in this election.

I Didn’t Vote For Obama by kentuckyscott Mon Oct 20, 2008 at 01:24:08 PM PDT

I’m a middle-class white guy living in Jacksonville, Florida. I’ve got a wife and two kids. Because the kids had no school today, I took a vacation day from work, and took the kids downtown to vote early. Fifty-nine minutes later, two smiling children and I proudly sported ‘I Voted’ stickers.

But I didn’t vote for Obama.

I voted for my ancestors, who believed in the promise of this country and came with nothing as immigrants.

I voted for my parents, who taught in the public schools for decades.

I voted for Steve, an acquaintance of mine from Kentucky . (Killed by an IED two years ago in Iraq.)

I voted for Shawn, another who’s been to Iraq twice, and Afghanistan once, and who’ll be going back to Afghanistan again soon — and whose family earned eleven bucks a month too much to qualify for food stamps when the war started.

I voted for April, the only African-American girl in my high school — it was years before it occurred to me how different her experience of our school must have been.

I voted for my college friends who are Christian, Jewish, Mormon, and yes — Muslim.

I voted for my grandfathers, who worked hard in factories and died too young.

I voted for the plumber who worked on my house, because I want him to get a REAL tax break.

I voted for four little angels from Birmingham.

I voted for a bunch of dead white men who, although personally flawed, were willing to pledge their lives, fortunes, and sacred honor, and used a time of great crisis to expand freedom rather than suspend it.

I voted for all those people and more, and I voted for all of you, too. But mostly, I voted selfishly. I vote for two little kids, one who has ballet in an hour, and once who has baseball practice at the same time. I voted for a world where they can be confident that their government will represent the best that is in this country, and that will in turn demand the best of them. I voted for a government that will be respected in the world. I voted for an economy that will reward work above guile. I voted for everything I believe in.

Sure, I filled in the circle next to the name Obama, but it wasn’t him I was voting for — it was every single one of us, and those I love most of all.

Who else is there to vote for?

I wanted to see if Spongebob’s vote would be counted. I’d love to be able to see how many write-ins were named on the Presidential ballot.

For GA: GEORGIA
The Peach State Write-ins are allowed but will not count unless the candidate files in advance. Per Georgia’s election laws, there will be a space to write-in a candidate’s name on the ballot. Unless the candidate registers in this state, your write-in vote will be a vote of protest.

Kym, looks like your write-in will have it’s intended effect here in GA.

Btw, Truth thanks for that info you sent…all I could say was: Giiiiiddde dayum! … with my mouth wide opened I’m sure my uncle will get a kick out of telling me: Naah, Jamoca, what I tell ya…? But ummm, may I offer you some happy pills just for today HA!

now leaving a little note hanging on the fridge and it read: Hey chick,I needed to borrow ya’ whip…you know the one that goes by Dis’ Bish *(wink) . Demi wants me to take him on a quick run, so that HE can moon all of Forsyth County while the blue paint on his booty air dries* LOL!

Hey Kym/PoppaG here are a few more famous Aries to add to the list, just for kicks:

Marvin Gaye, Billie Holiday, Aretha Franklin, Martin Lawrence, Kareem Abdul Jabbar, Diana Ross, Eddie Murphy, Maya Angelo, Booker T. Washington, Billy Dee Williams, Russell Crow, Alec Baldwin, Chaka Khan, Steven Seagal, Andy Garcia, Al Green, Al Capone, Mark Twain, and Truth look here: King Henry VIII of England that doesn’t make me feel too good …and of course ME (Apr 13th) oh yeah, and Demi stole my birthday! I will say I like McCain. But his age, combined with his over-simplification of the country’s problems ALONG with the WORST choice of a VP I have seen in modern times (sans Dan Quayle) made the choice for me.

My hope is Obama can get things done. Whoever wins is set up to fail and be a one term president (due to all these issues that have come to a head). I hope is that whoever wins has a hand in guiding the country in an upward direction.

God golly Miss Molly…these blog chilluns sho’ no how to ball…lol.

But, the real fact is that it will be the electoral college that decides who will be elected tonight, tomorrow…next week…gotta count on them chads or something to happen…imagine that.

Each state has the equal number of electoral votes as the state has members in the House and Senate, if I am not mistaken…and different states have different rules on how its electoral college can and will place its votes…so it is not an election by popular vote…some states will go with the obvious candidate with the popular majority…some in a close call will cast with whomever the powers that be insist gets those votes…it is all somewhat fickle…and outdated…mainly, the Founding Fathers chose this process because they believed that the average American citizen was too illiterate, too ignorant and too irresponsible to cast votes based on actual issues at hand as opposed to the personal criteria of perceived and partial biases…um, guess not much has changed uh…lol.

Lurker I didn’t start the battle of the keys with Dan but I can dang shole finish it. Dan was not disagreeing with my decision he was simply giving his closed minded opinion…and passing judgement. I like a good arguement like fiber it keeps you regular..and what kind of world is it where we must all agree on the same thing at the same time? I have no problem what so ever with Obama becoming president it makes me proud..but at the same time I am not to keen on the Dems or the Repubs and for those reasons I didnt vote for either party. What kills me is in the same breathe folks talk of unity and change they will flip the script if that change or unity is not one they agree with. Amazing. But it is a flaw in the human condition. My way or the highway. Even after Obama spoke to Joe the Plumber(lawd) he told him even if I don’t get your vote I will still be working for you if I win. In other words we can agree to disagree and move on.

Dan’s tired azz comments phase me not heck I had friends tell me much worse crap this election cycle yet-they haven’t voted since Bill Clinton ran-the 1st time. So lurker in keeping in my taking it too the street tradition this peace sign up index down is just for you.

Here’s the difference in our posts.

I can disagree with you, ask a question to attempt to understand your decision making process, and you can respond.

But when a coversation devolves in catagorizations and psuedo curse words it is the height of childishness to me.

I can debate anyone on any subject, dispassionately and not have to resort to ad hoymnyn and insolent attacks (the “Deese” notwithstanding).

Trust me when I tell you how it pains me to have to keep runnin’ back to this muthafukkin’ computer to remind you of how dominant you guys were last night and how we (Jon Jansen RT who got owned, and Todd Yoder TE especially, who bished up and almost got Jason Campbell’s season ended) couldn’t do a thing with yoll, because we got punked out of doing what we do best, which is run.

But it’s all gravy, ‘cause the truth is the truth and a deal is a deal.

The good in it all is that by the “Redskin Rule”, Obama should blow McCain’s azz straight back to Arizona. And if it takes a loss to secure the next four years, I’ll take it.

Aww, naww…don’t get yourself too anxious, now holding Cee back w/ only one hand laid across her forehead, while she struggles…her arms doing the windmill ….hahahahahaha

Tatas Here ~ have a Red Stripe. Sorry don’t think they come in forties tee hee he You funny chick! As a matter of fact, I’oun want no Red Skripe ….hand me one of those Smirnoffs; just one will have ya’ lil’ sis sayin’ rocka-bye-baby (in my best voice of Keisha – New Jack Shiddy) lol

And tell that gal to just let cho’ soooouuuulllll glo baybeh …you see she’s over there eyeballin’ mine. LOL Btw, how’s that milkshake, Cee ? Because I can sense as soon as I share some of this “sunbeam,” Mufassa will be sure to snuff it out! It’s not like she need it….keekeekee

Leggs Awww, I’m sorry to hear that as well. I also hear what you’re saying…although my father couldn’t make up his mind whether or not he was going to stick around, I believe I was 12 or 13 when I told him, I did not feel it necessary for him to come around period or vice versa, especially with all the “disappearing acts”. However I know that if ever the day comes that he no longer exists, I’d at least go to his funeral.

Wow PoppaG that’s alright, right there! I also know of two more people with Apr13/14th as their birthdays too…and stubborn, determined WE ARE. I prefer to say strong-willed, sounds better. lol

Melo I’m so proud of Florida for a change, because I was just disgusted w/ this place when Bush got into office back in 2000…didn’t like mentioning that I was even from here, because I was actually living in Atlanta at the time (waitressing at WH) and when the patrons found out, let’s just say it was never a dull moment … hursh Cee LOL

Kym Thank you for honoring our bet.(well most of it) You are a man of your word and I like that.

No problem… and thanks for the icebag ^^^. Now to shake this loss off and get up for the Cowgirl game. And just to keep it real, I don’t know what I want more, for yoll to lose every last game from here on out or for both teams to win every last game and meet up in the Super Bowl for some payback.

Yoll be safe, and if you haven’t already Barack The Vote!
