Pay Attention to the Passion

When my single friends tell me about the people they meet, many of them say that they lose interest if they find that the person lacks passion. Or if they are passionate about something, it’s far from their own passion.

How important is it for someone you are dating to have passion? Do you get along better with people who have passion for the same things you do?

I have noticed that I am drawn to competitive men, this is something that catches my eye. I pay attention to what is driving his motivation to achieve and what feeds his passion for life. I think this tells a lot about how compatible we are.

Passion can also tell you if the person is not a good match for you. If they expend energy and focus on things that are not aligned with your outlook, you should pay attention to that closely. It could impact how long your interest in the person lasts.

Have you ever dated someone who was passionate about something? Was it something that appealed to you or turned you off? When you are dating someone new, do you show them what you are passionate about? If so, how do you express your passion to them?

If you can’t put a finger on what the person is passionate about would that bother you?

I’m not sure what happened to the blog, yesterday. I apologize for the early closing. Hopefully today will go off without a hitch - Happy Friday!

Is this thang on? Yeah, I’m gonna need you to be passionate about something. If nothing moves you, then are you really living?

Yesterday, I wanted to say, I am not JUST my hair. It’s a big part of who we are or else why labor over to cut or not to cut/ to dye or not to dye. Stop kiddin yourselves tryin not be perceived as vain. I’m a hair chameleon & I know I wouldn’t be payin what I do for two strand twists and silky straight presses if it did not matter. It speaks to who I am and not solely how I wanna rock at the time…

Oh and Mr. Melo, I’ve written a thousand times what angle I like to be hit from. Hard. Once he puts in some work there he’ll know how to get me to stop thinkin’ at all… then the games really begin. Enjoy this lovely day, y’all.

Happy Friday everyone. I’m sure we’d all rather be snuggling with this rainy weather.

I love guys that have a passion about something. I believe every guy I’ve dated has had one. I feed off other’s energy and I like learning new things. Usually, their passion will make me want to learn more about whatever he’s passionate about.

Regarding yesterdays topic… unfortunately I logged in too late to comment, but I can’t believe that dreadlocks/locs were associated with unkept hair? I find that offensive, although my locs are always well maintained and complimented often, the fact that so many of you stated that anyone with them was undateable. Well, it’s your loss and your ignorance to continue to swim in….try not to drown.

After going downstairs and realizing it’s cold and raining, I’ve decide to get back in bed and blog from the laptop. I’ll try starting my day around noon. Dam this 2 sided pillowtop with 600 threadcount sheets feels good. LOL

A chick must have some go in her. There are things I’m totally geeked over and if she doesn’t have that gear in her she’s just not going to understand.

Mango I’m one that doesn’t like dreads. Don’t take it personal, you have things that are unacceptable to you also. It’s just choices.

Truth I appreciate your stepping forward, but you were not the lone blogger to speak against locs. Definitely a personal choice, but someone else, believe it was a female, associated “unkept” with the dreadloc hairstyle.

Passion is important. My partner has a passion for giving. Either to the homeless, ministries, or other non-profit organizations, he’s teaching me to see the blessings associated with giving. When you meet someone for the first time, rarely you see passion. Unfortunately, women want to get the guy first and the passion will come later.

TGIF on this rainy morning, I have a passion for the arts and thankfully I finally met a guy who shares the same passion.

I dated one guy who had a nick for the woods, I had a problem with that didn’t want to make a rendition of Deliverance, scared the freak out of me…every weekend he wanted to go on some kind of trail thru the woods.

My passions lead me often to exploration: of the topic(s), of the macro subjects, and ulitmately of myself.

I’d have to have that in my partner.

Whatever her passion is, I’d love to see her pursue that, even in her down time. It’s just sexy to me.

Too bad u did not make prior arrangements Truth, you could have asked ur ex to come in and join you, and let the husband go to work..lol I’ve written a thousand times what angle I like to be hit from. U killing me over here with that Hard. Why do u chose to reveal ur most innner and raunchy details when im not on the blog. That applies to Cee too.I will just be content admiring that picture u send me,or waz that Cee.If u havent, just email it then.

On topic:if there is no passion, why are u together then?? At least the person should be passionate about you, never mind any other stuff.I see Wise, being a serial dater, you seem so used to FWB situations and getting temp nookie to kill the itch, just like u take advil for a headache.U now talk of passion as if its some extra special ingredient that requires loads of british pounds to import!!

Morning!

Didnt want my post to be the last one yesterday ..but oh well. LOL

Passion - I might be a little close minded on that because I have dated some guys who were passionate about something that I couldnt accept…so while I do like passion in what area is critical. I have to at least see where you are going with it! By the way what about people who have gone through the grind and just want to chill out for a minute ..I dont mind that either <- that’s where I am at the moment

Mango I think locs are cool when kept ..I might have to venture there when I am a bit older just to see what its like. But they can definitely be attractive.

Sweet Mango I mentioned about unkept but now referring to only locs/dreads, etc. I personally don’t have a problem with locs, dreads, etc. heck I dated a guy with dreads, he kept it well maintained …… Sorry to offend you, that was not my intention….as with any hairdo/style that is unkept is totally unacceptable for me.

Sweet Mango…I have locks…and after 20 plus years without the stress of ?hiar issues”…I would not trade them for anything in the world…I do Frecnhroll, ponytails, buns, have has wrapped stones in them…I can change my haristyle many times in one day…whenever I choose, at my will and at not COST to me to do so…but as far as “unkempt”…well, sugah dreads are “unkempt” hair…meaning not molested and adulterated by artificial processess…natural hair growth…as opposed to “kempt”….meaning hair that is maintained by processes that alter the natural state.

Good Morning folks!

Passion is a part of my relationship lifeline. If there isn’t any, i’m flat-lining!…That extremely driven zeal that a man has makes me breathless when I see his fervor for Life…yea that is sexy as Hayo!!!

Have you ever dated someone who was passionate about something? Yes maam! I can say, what is this Man NOT passionate about? He is very careful, in depth, pays attention to detail, and gets engrossed with results! He can go from one extreme to the other while I, observing this zeal, get caught in his interests and have a strong appreciation for the enthusiasm.

Melo go lay down somewhere homie! …you get on my nerves! Lol…dang!

Sweet Mango I actually love men with locs..if they are thin and neatly kept twisted. I used to love to play an an ex’s hair because they were long and neat and gave him a raw sex appeal. I am drawn to cute tall men with locs. As far as females with them..I had a hair crush on this lady at FSO about 3 years ago. She had sister locs and she spiraled them. They were very long and they looked so pretty on her I kept staring. I asked her about them. They would not fit my face. But I think certain women have the facial structure to carry them off. I also saw another lady in the airport last month. They were to her waist and neat. I was in awe.

MLL That outdoorsy guy would be right up my alley. I love stuff like that..but I never find guys who like that. They don’t understand that hiking and being outdoors help calm my hyperactivity.

I need a guy to have some of the same passions as I do or we will never spend time together. I am really busy as is. So we can do some things together if we both share the common interests.

Truth Did you hear about the King Tut Exhibit coming to the Civic Center 11/15? I am so ready! They even have a large Anubis statue to guards it as if it were a pyramid burial tomb! How cool is that? As far as the High musuem the Terracotta army is there now. I have to get there to see that?

What up Blog

I see a couple of familiar folks on here. As for the topic, people have different passions, but accept them, unless its some terrible and particularly unacceptable passion, like a dude who is passionate about wasting money in the strip club on a weekly basis. Or a chick who is passionate about blowing her change and then asking you to pick up the slack.

Those things that people are passionate about will be the your saving grace if a relationship grows, your mate needs something else to be passionate about other than you, if not, they will eventually crowd your azz and become irritating as hell.

Passion….I have it for a few things but most of all I love children and watching them learn. If I could teach like 2nd to 4th graders world history and exploration. MLL but nothing comes closer to Stephen King’s IT

The movie was scary, but the book kept me awake for a few weeks after I finished it. It’s LONG and starts off really slowly (most of his books are that way), so it took me about 2 months to get through the first 600 pages, but I finished the rest in like 2 weeks. I was about 15 and you can’t even imagine how messed up I was.

But that started my love for horror books. I’m into Dean Koontz too. That dude is looney tunes. If you EVER need to be scared out of your mind, read *The Taking. You need to be sure about your belief system before you read it, kind of like how you have to know what you believe before you read The DaVinci Code.

WD, I did. I stood in line for 2 hours. I wear my “I’m a Georgia Voter” sticker most every day to encourage others. I’ve made it sort of a personal mission of mine encourage others to vote early. I took pictures of my experience and sent it out to my friends, which inspired most all of them to go vote early. This also includes my CA friends, who didn’t know they had the option! wise…i had initially planned on voting early…but when i put some actual thought into it…i realized that i would be driving WAY out of the way to do so…and possibly encounter long lines to do it…*not that i have a problem waiting in line or going out of my way…

*truth is…my polling place is right next door to my apt complex…

so, it makes more sense for me to just be at the door of the polling place at 630a so that i can walk right in when it opens on election day…i’m up at the time of the day anyway…

Wise I did early voting right around the time it started. It was quick for me. Next week, they will open more polling places for early voting so the lines won’t be so long. Instead of one location in Cobb, I think it will be about 5, spread throughout the county. So hopefully, it won’t be a 3 hour ordeal for a lot of people.

Love rain down on me,on me,down on me

Met him on a Thursday, sunny afternoon Cumulus clouds, 84 degrees He was brown, deep…Said he wanted to talk about my mission..Listen to my past lives (Word?)

Took me on long walks to places where butterflies rest easy Talked about Moses and Mumia…Reparations, blue colors, memories of shell topped adidas…He was fresh, like summer peaches…Sweet on my mind like block parties and penny candy

Us was nice and warm, no jacket, no umbrella, just warm…At night we…would watch the stars…And he would physically give me each and every one

I felt like cayenne pepper, red, hot, spicy…I felt Dizzy, Sonya, heaven, and Miles between my thighs… Better than love, we made delicious

He me had, and had me he…He made me tongue tied

I could hear his rhythm in my thoughts I was his sharp, his horn section…His boom and his bit, and he was my love

Love rain down on me, on me, down on me

Hey ya’ll and Happy Friday!…

This song just came to mind; with the help of the weather down here or even from what I’m reading, up there too. * Maaannn…they won’t be getting much outta me today, if I don’t find a way to quit staring out this doggone window.*

Cee I swear you would not be able to tell the “sea from the sky” right now…where’s the horizon? One could not tell where it begins, to where it ends …just misty blue on toppa periwinkle blue…yet similar in shade. Simply beautiful.

Uh-oh, now I’ve got about three jams ringing in my head right about now…yep, definitely has A LOT to do with the weather….Ummmhmmm…

ON TOPIC : I’ve been told at times that I’m intense and too passionate about certain things. I’ll go ahead and proudly admit that yes, I am… So quite naturally, I do look for those qualities in my mate . It’s really something to see, when he “goes hard” for other causes … other than “specific matters only to do with ourselves” . That shyt turns me on…and dammit I love it!

Hey Blog Fam Special “Hey” to Cee!

You’re right,Cee, not much happening here, just hanging in the cut. Don’t usually eat much in the company cafeteria, but was not about to go out in the rain today! Jumping between this blog, CNN politics and the Huffington Post. Would you believe some “GOP stategist” went on a rant on MSNBC when asked about Palin’s excessive clothing budget - stupidly suggested that Obama should have “humped his bags onto a commercial flight to see his grandmother”, instead of using the campaign jet! The anchor that was interviewing him laughed hysterically. The blog on Huff Post is dogging him out so bad, last night he actually posted on the blog trying to defend himself! He said Obama having to have the Secret Service detail with him was just an “excuse”. Can you imagine the security nightmare that would cause if he tried to catch a commercial flight out of any US airport?!

Yeah, reading about the election and this crazy stock market!

My niece is home for the weekend from Hampton Univ. My sister is cooking her a huge dinner tonight. It will be great hanging out with her & her friends - they are some cool kids!

What’s up for the weekend folks?

Blue Truth said that this blog was “his cave”, something of his. I happen to agree. Who, other than Angie, wants to have everything you say analyzed when you get home?

I don’t think it’s deceptive to blog openly on a public blog that anyone can have access to. He’d know it was me, because I use the same name on all online correspondence I have. He knows I blog here, he could possibly “check up” on me from time to time. All he’d find was me being my normal silly self, maybe cracking a few more jokes than what I do at home.

So I still don’t see how public blogging can be dishonest, if that’s all you do.

Chink Koontz is my favorite of all time..I have read all his books!

That dude has a LOT of books. I just started reading him a few years ago, so I haven’t even scratched the surface of his book list yet.

I have been using the mixture since I started my locks in “88…I could not find anything in the stores that worked, so I used what I learned about natural hair from Mom Dukes cosmetology books on our hair type…moisture, moisture, moisture…and those ingredients help to retain moisture and add the essential emollients (sp?) needed to penetrate the cuticles of our hair texture and get deep into the hair shaft…you will need to learn what amounts of each product works best for your hair texture and it is best to do it when the hair it wet…this is also a good hot oil treatment for processed hair with a heat cap for 15 minutes and the a good clarifying shampoo rinse.

  • Georgia State Police

  • And you might as well count CNN - their security is outfitted like SWAT, complete with guns, knockout sticks, tazer guns, etc.

This is why I wonder why everyone is in an uproar over who goes into office. It doesn’t matter, once in he can run roughshod over us and we won’t do jack. 300 years ago, when we had balls, folks would have been hung over some of the things they did. Willie It sounds like an ok temporary move. But watch it daily and be mindful of the amount you choose to invest with. Go below your means. The market is very unstable now so make sure that should you lose money that is not enough to bankrupt you. I hope that helped.

    Good night all…

Man, you’re right. The powers that be are carefully putting pieces in place. All’at Homeland Security is the new US equivalent of the SS.

Du & Melo Ya’ll know that it is impossible to keep an accurate count, you leave out the strays you caught in your early twenties, then there are the accidents, the one-timers, the two monthers, then the ones that only your closest partners know about, and them two ugly broads you never told anybody about..lol

Staceye I’m good sweetie, how are the curves doing?

MK if you want to see some other vids on similar topics shoot me an email, actually anybody. atlred01@yahoo.com

The thing is all this info is out there but we keep getting diverted by bs like 9/11. Look at that one incident. From there “TERRORISTS” became our biggest threat and Homeland Security came to be. There’s still not a person in the world that can show me how a building can stand from a hit by a jet and simply crumble 45 minutes later like dust. That thing was a hoax.

Pops,2EE’s, Melo Thanks for the info. You know with everything the way it is I am really starting to invest more. My earnings may be down but I’m trying to increase my holdings. In the long run I think as always thats the best policy. Hey why not do like the rich folk and buy now.

I may have mis-spoke instead of moving some things around. I plan on putting some mad-money into Oil. I know the price is low 60’s now. Talk is going down to maybe $50. My gut tells me that of all things Oil will definitely be back up to $100/barrel in no time. Preciate the advice. Melo Thank you again for the College info you gave me a few months back. I did look into it and we are set up now.

you’re asking this duh question on purpose aren’t you? respecting my moniker on a blog vs. respecting me in person. get it? it’s the same.
