I can say the spot matters..

Like getting at it in the Toy ‘R Us while shopping for a present for a child is a wee bit inappropriate.

But if its a place where there are only/mostly adults congregating, as long as the act isn’t consumated blatantly, I don’t have a problem with it.

It’s like watching old people kiss, sure there’s something slightly gross about it (like the train of thought of the other things they might be doing), but in all most people would consider a sweet gesture.

Same thing with full on lust, courtesy says take it out of sight, but, uh, damn that. If the time comes and I want to fondle my girl..if she don’t mind, nobody else should.

Then again, I’m a different kinda cat.

Mornin All -Not into PDA much. However a good spot will bring it out of me. Like when you go to a movie that is not jam packed and as soon as you walk through the door goin into the dark hallway grab her and let her know somethin, this will last just about until the door swings open again with other people. I’ve also been at a house party with my girl and just grabbed her and tossed her in some laundery room for a lil alone time, but right out in front of folks naw… well maybe a club vip/ corner of the dance floor.

It probably happens in my face more than I know. But I’m usually oblivious to things going on with other people. After living in the San Francisco Bay Area, where you are apt to see same sex couples sucking face (really, just kissing tho), you become immune. I see more excessive PDA on tv than in real life.

As for me, a little french kissing every blue moon is the farthest I’ve gone (unless we decided to do “it” in public, lol). I think I can control myself until we get some privacy. And no one likes to see all that (unless you’re into that sort of thing). LOL

Good Morning! Phoenix was bananas this weekend for Super Bowl, I’m so exhausted!

PDA can be good, in my opinion, if it is subtle. One guy I went out with a couplel of months ago would touch me on the back of my calf or on my thigh and it was really sweet. It wasn’t overbearing, it was nice. Of course, the forehead kiss is awesome, I absolutely love that one!

PDA- Don’t have a problem with it in the right context. If i’m with the kids in an obvious kid friendly atmosphere then I don’t want to see it. Other than that do whatever the mood puts you into. I’m not against a lil touchy feely if thats what you like,As long as you don’t get vulgar (we’ve all seen it). As for me I can get my PDA on and like it in a woman that not so uptight about such things. I like to turn her on in public while she trying to fight it. Blow - D. Woods checked out his MySpace page and he was all hugged up with a girl, “his boo” as the page stated.

D. Woods asked him what was up and he just blew up about how his ex maintains his page and he wouldn’t be trying to holla if he was with her. Everyone was like “WTF”

Tact in public is what a lot of people don’t consider with the PDA.

I’ve seen ppl at a restaurant where the guy had his hand up the girl’s skirt - literally. That is classless and foul.

Holding hands or a simple kiss (minus sloppy tongue action) is appropriate, anything more for people over 25 is just a party foul!

And 99% of people I have seen go over the line are people that I frankly am baffled actually FOUND anyone to be with. That crinkle (read: scar) in my brain from bearing witness to the PDA gone wrong can never be healed.

US rapper Pimp C died from an accidental overdose of prescription medications which had been mixed into a cough syrup.

The 33-year-old rapper, who was found dead in a Los Angeles hotel room last December, also suffered from a condition which causes people to temporarily stop breathing, a Coroner ruled yesterday.

Ed Winter of the LA Coroners office said that the combination of large amounts of codeine and promethazine – key ingredients in the syrup – and Pimp C’s sleep apnea had caused his death.

Staceye This dude I know I think has sleep apnea. He snores so bad (like a grizzly bear) that he wakes himself up throughout the night coughing and trying to catch his breath. He also doesn’t excercise and eats horribly, so I am wondering if poor diet and exercise is somehow related to the sleep apnea. I tried to let him know how bad his snoring was but I think he is in denial. I told him to maybe see a doctor or go get hynotized or something, anything! He just brushed it off. He snores SO bad I can’t be in the same room with him when he is sleep! He also has really bad gums, which is also not good.

Page he most definetley has sleep apnea. My dad has the same symptoms (except the gums). He sleep in my old room at night. He and my mami can’t sleep in the same room. That is sad. When I go home, I end up sleeping in the bed with my mami because of that. Even with the door close we can still here him. That creeps me out. As Dan mentioned…deviated septum. I never even thought of that. We tried to get him to go to the Dr. but he is truely showing his Irish/Jamaican side…STUBBORN AS HELL! LOL

I think my friend has sleep apnea too she sounds like someone is doing construction in the room when you’re around her. I tried to tell her that she sounds like a jack hammer and she didn’t believe me so I recorded her sleeping one night and played it back for her she was shocked to say the least….I hope she gets some help because it is a serious problem!

Isn’t that what the original topic was about.

Value placement. Someone’s right to not be “affected” by the action of another person. In the karmatic, everything is interrelated sense, it matters.

But as a standard of living, being, or existing with other people, I just don’t think it’s entirely righteous to place your values on someone else, or expect them to live by/do what you think is right.

I noticed noone has responded to your question and I have one that is very similar. I went to the doctor today and got back on birth control after being off of it for almost five years. I asked my doctor how long it takes for the pills to be effective … she first responded a month.. then left the room and came back and said that it should be effective in a week. Then later in the conversation she said that I could start having unprotected sex by this Sunday ( today is Thursday… so if I take the pill tonight I will have only taken 4 pills by Sunday ) and I should be fine.. but that if I did and I was worried about it .. just to give her a call and she could prescribe plan B for me… Um.. Something just doesn’t add up here. I asked the pharmacist when I picked up my birth control pills and she told me it takes a month before the pills start working and then I get online and it says a week before they are effective. What is the right answer here?? I obviously don’t want to risk getting pregnant but I also don’t want to wait an entire month before I can start having sex without a condom. Me and my boyfriend, of five years, just got engaged and I would really like to celebrate. I actually got back on birth control as a sort of Christmas present for him.. it would just be nice to know if we can actually take advantage of it by then ( today is Dec 14th ) I should also probably note that I had my period last week.. it ran from Sunday to Sunday ( ended on Dec. 10th ) but my doctor said I could go ahead and start the birth control pills now.. is that correct or should I have waited until my next period?

Birth Control You need to wait until you next cycle mami to be on the safe side. Not to mention pay close attention to medications (prescription and OTC, especially antibiotics) as well as herbs that you take. They can further lesson the strength of the BC. If you really want to be condom free, I suggest you use a back up such foam (spermicide). He may also pull out…but remember pre-ejaculation is potent as well. FYI…Plan B is nothing but very strong BC and it will make you VERY naseaous as a side effect. Be careful and have fun.

I worked as Medical Assist. for a while in an GYN office. This is what I was taught. Good luck. Hope it helps.
