I think it’s funny that, growing up in the ’80s, I used to see people in the movies all the time asking people “What’s your sign?” as a pickup line. If someone asked me that now, I would probably laugh, uncontrollably, until I started tearing up.
But just for fun, I looked up my “Love & Relationships” monthly horoscope on Yahoo, and this is what it said:
So everything isn’t exactly the way you’d like it, romance-wise, by the 1st of the month. Instead of thrills, chills and excitement, it’s get up, go to work, deal with coworkers, come home, eat, watch TV and go to bed. Well, buck up! Just because the first two days of the month are a little bit slow doesn’t mean things won’t pick up soon! By the 3rd and 4th, you’re busier — and no longer bored. This sets the stage for a bit of luck — and a lot of potential romance — on the 8th, when you meet a very intriguing new someone. By the 13th, even if the romance part of this new friendship is still getting off the ground, you get a few well-timed reminders that your friends think you’re the cat’s pajamas. On the 16th, you want to be alone. By the 17th and 18th, you’re a walking romance magnet: Your confidence alone is enough to bring the potential partners to you, and when paired with your good looks, you’re irresistible! On the 23rd, you’re ready to talk about your romantic feelings with someone, while the 26th and 27th are filled with kisses. On the 30th, wrap up the month with some more philosophizing — it’s the best way to spend the time between smooches.
Granted, horoscopes are always vague so that you can tailor them to fit your own life. But it was so funny how this one seemed to fit this month!

Unfortunately, this month is the month Cupid goes on vacation. Usually when this happens love, games, lies are free to run amuck unsupervised. So you may be feeling a little down and out and shun from being your normal social self. However, due to your twin nature, you’re never down for long. Take this time to refresh and enjoy the things you like to do to occupy your time. This is a great time to let the creative side have free reign of all the emotions you maybe currently feeling. There is light at the end of the tunnel. So try to to see the lesson during this trying time and get back to being the best you, you can be. Once you’ve conquered this down time, things will begin to look up for you. So don’t fret my pet. One monkey don’t stop no show.

I think my horoscope would say something like: *Take time for self right now, you have been through a tough time ending your last relationship so you need to continue to regroup. Get to know self better, take inventory of lessons learned and how to move forward. Focus on family (since I have a child), it is a priority! As you get to know you better, as you begin to come back into your own, you will start on your journey into a relationship. Dont be surprised though if you have some rough spots along the way, just know that your time and your mate will come when it is supposed to and not a minute sooner. Work on you and everything else will fall into place.

Nope, can’t say that I have. I do think that some of the characteristics that are known for Pisces, but then again, I have some of the others also.

I’m a Taurus…always seem to be attracted to, and attract those darn Capricorns. But, despite the alleged compatibility of Taureans and Capricorns, that ish ain’t worked for me yet! LOL!

Hey Staceye and Cemeeli,
The rally was really nice. There was a good energy throughout the crowd. I believe the paper reported that the numbers were 2200 people. The cut off was at 5000. Regular admission was $25, and students got in for $15. There was a great amount of diversity throught the crowd and many parents brought their kiddies.
His speech was uplifting. He said all the right things a presidential candidate would say. His primary focus is how his inexperience would be helpful in cynical Washington as it is time for change. And he also focused on hope.
Dominique Wilkins, Usher, Congressman Bishop and Congressmen Johnson spoke as well.
And if anyone wants to tell you that Barack Obama isn’t black…just know the rally started over an hour late. CPT. LOL

Pharess I don’t think you all know how to be anything BUT slick and sneaky. My most recent relationship had been off and on for close to 8 years. That brother definitely had a good heart, was a great friend and lover but he just couldn’t help himself when it came to inappropriate situations with other females. I think because of those two different sides of him, it make it harder to cut him off.
I’ll have to say Gemini’s can be just as sneaky. I can say i’ve lived a double life before. I have that innocent good girl on one side….then the other side is the Dark Side MUUAH HA HA HA!

Foots the new belly dance class is at Dance 101 off of N. Druid Hills on Saturday’s at 11:30. I hope I like the teacher and the training. 2can Leftwich, Harrington - they each have their pros and cons. I’m just glad we’ll have 2 QBs on the roster with experience. That said, I’m not expecting a lot of wins out of my team this year - but I’m hoping we’ll go 14-2. And if we lose this week, I’ll be hoping for 13-3, LOL.
