Happy Friday and Father’s Day!!

Is anyone doing anything special for Father’s Day? My dad is out of town, but I’m thinking about taking my SO to Real Men Cook event on Sunday for Father’s Day. They were featured on Emeril’s cooking show one day and he likes to cook so I’m hoping that would be a pleasant change.

This CD is by Elisabeth Withers……if you have not heard of her..let me tell this Cd she has is the Bomb….from the first song…titled Simple Thing to the last…..Next to you….it is worth the money you will pay….as a matter of fact it is worth 3 times that amount..no matter what problems you might be having…baby mama/daddy…this CD is full of emotional,supportive..and down right fun sounds that will make any day stuck in traffic seems like a walk in the park…..

I give this CD…..(Drumrollllll)

5 out of 5 Stars….yeah it is just that good……if you buy it and dont like it I will take you to KFC and buy you a wing….I know you will like it just that much……next week…i will have more Summer blockbuster movies so stay tuned………we now return you to the blog..have a good weekend

Yeah well… I don’t watch TV, nor read celebrity gossip rags… I suppose the mainstream gets into such drivel, but to me it’s just plain boring. Not to say that it shouldn’t be enjoyable for others, brainlessness has it’s place. I’ll be standing behind a pressure washer on my decks and porches this weekend, I’ve always considered brainless stuff like that to be almost therapeutic.

He seems SOO intelligent (well, he can read the teleprompter and write his news reports?!)…he definitely would qualify as eligible if he is single! My favorite bachelor is not a celebrity. He’s a guy I know, that I’m friends w/ and think is really great. No, I didn’t put him in the FZ! Actually, I think he put me there (sad). LOL! He’s told me that his hesitation is due to the distance between our homes (we live 2 states away from each other). I don’t see what the problem is, but he doesn’t want to do a long-distance relationship. Gotta respect his wishes. But, he’s 35, really handsome, works out a lot (like me), he loves my curves and always makes me feel like I’m the prettiest, coolest, funniest woman he knows. When my dad was sick last month, he called regularly to see how he was doing (and he’s never met my dad) and to see how I was doing. He’s extremely smart (PhD candidate), funny, and tells me all the time that he’s ready to get married. Of course, I realize that doesn’t mean to me, but it’s nice to know we agree on that topic, at least. LOL!

WOW 22months in still in bed with you. I don’t know how you do it…My son is 17 months and he’s been sleeping in his crib since birth. His crib was in my bdrm from birth till he was 5 months after that in to his own room he went! When I did move him to his own room I got this fish tank thing you hang on the wall like a picture and you turn it own so that was his night light big blue light…lol I also have this thing on his crib that sings and show pics on the ceiling and that’s what really gets him to go to sleep. He sleeps through the night very good. Last weekend I got him a twin bed to upgrade from the crib. So, no more pics on the ceiling. Then he will use his Baby Tad to go to sleep. It’s a stuff animal that talks in stuff like that…that’s what I let him take with him when he spends the night out at my mom’s, etc. He sleeps in his own bed when he stays out as well…

So, for you at first she will probably cry but you just have to get her use to the idea and decorating her room would help.

The only thing I wonder about with my son. When I move him to the twin bed is…if he gets up in the night will he just lay their or play with his toys…lol

SJ…I got so addictive to it…I would pump like crazy had back up milk for months…YEs I lost weithg and during that difficult time it helped me feel better…People were like wow you look good…So yes it did…My mama made me stop…The Good Start then out…I did it for six months…

Wise Diva Ryan is all that…I cosign everthing you said and hope you land a date with him…That brotha has it going on!!!

JJ…My best friend mom was a single parent and my bf slept with her until 12…She came home one day saying mama I don’t want to sleep with you any more bc my friends laughed at me when I told them I still sleep with you…I thought that was too cute…

I climb in my mama’s bed still too, but it is time for formal training for my angel…

Sexi she will be 2 in late August…I will start her at a learning center at 2 1/2…We are mastering potty training now…She has not wet the bed all week!!

Lady J you will be okay girl!! I breastfed too but one thing I have never done is put my son in the bed with me. He has ALWAYS been in his room from day one. My problem was I rocked him a lot. I would go into his room to feed and we had a rocker in there, so I had to break him of that. As cruel as it was, baby boy had to cry himself to sleep some nights. I almost cried many times too but I knew that he had to start going to sleep on his own. Now, I just put him the bed and leave his room. As for the sleep pattern, I dont think it will ever go back to the way it was! :0(

On topic, I am still tryin to think of an attractive bachelor but I do agree with some of the guys mentioned here…

Lady J I just kicked my 18 month old out of my bed. First establish a routine, bath, reading, etc., same time every night. When it’s time for bed put her in her bed/crib, say goodnight and LEAVE THE ROOM. If she’s anything like my son, she’ll protest. The 1st nite 45 mins of HEL…, the 2nd nite, just 10 mins. By the 3rd night he was all good! Good Luck!

Truth those were for the married dads. But, I guess knowing how no MLB member seems to be able to pass up the Heinie (teeheehee), I can see how that might cause some…ahem…gastrointestinal difficulties. Kinda like that new fat blocker drug! Ain’t it funny how most of the prescription drugs on the market have side affects that are worse than the actual ailment which they are treating? Mo I was going to recommend a book club also. An old friend just started one and I’ve joined. Actually the first meeting is at my house next weekend. Any tips for hosting a bookclub meeting folks? Also, if you live in a s/d and they publish a letter, join. Outside of that a dinner club with cool friends, frequent visits to the park, and definitely find something that incorporates your child. Then, try something totally new. Learn to fire a gun, get and train a dog, learn to swim (and let me know where you do so I can see you in a micro bikini). Ballroom or salsa dancing, golf, pool, jet skiing. The options are endless. BTW, two of my favorite hobbies are training dogs and shooting pool. WOOF WOOF.

But girl, you are right about the “don’t take, or even handle if you’re pregnant, about to be pregnant or nursing” drugs. Ain’t that some mess? My doc was telling me that many cholestrol drugs are like that, so if you’re planning to have a baby, you can’t even hold those pills in your hands. The thing that got me about the new diet pill thing was that the label apparently warns you to wear dark clothing and stick close to a bathroom while using it. That’s really bad! I’m sorry, but I’m going to continue to sweat out my perm in the gym, b/c that’s a lot easier to deal w/than the mess this pill leaves behind (figuratively and literally!)….UGH!!

It’s really awesome because you get to meet people with the same interest as yourself and can schedule meet up dates. (as a group) I luv it!!

NC before we start the feeding process. i need you to sign and date the following agreement.

Whereas NCGirlfromATL (“NC”) has two breast and desires to have those breast used for purposes of discovering milk and;

Whereas For Real is engaged in the business of searching for milk.

Now Therefore, in consideration of the mutual promises stated herein, the Parties agree as follows:

NCGirlfromATL hereby gives For Real the sole and exclusive feeding rights (the “Feeding Rights”) to NC’s left and right breast (the “Breastesetes”). NC shall provide unfettered access to the Breastestes for the term of the agreement. For Real shall massage, fondle, grope, lick, tug, and suck the Breastestes (the “Feeding”) in the attempt to discover milk for the duration of this agreement.

This Agreement shall become effective upon the first Feeding.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF the Parties have caused this document to be executed by ther authorized representative on the date written below:

Breast member: I can’t wait to get my suckle on!

lawgirl That’s funny but I don’t think the Breast Feeding Club would object to women members. I could be wrong but I will put it to vote. Oh and feeding is simply the search for milk. The BFC doesn’t guarantee that you will find any.

QC The flashback concert is Aug. 4th. I already have my ticket.

I believe the line up is Stephanie Mills, Midnight Star, The Barkays, and Curtis Blow….so far.

Note The online lawn tickets are only $10, whereas at Publix they are selling for $20.

NC Would you lend me a copy of the WLB book, if one exists? Today, I just learned what it meant and right about now, I’m feeling a little exposed!

Thanks to NC’s insight, lawgirl is confused at the whole Breast Feeding Club thing….and still wonders about the purity of the club…she has determined that this club is not for her…although she hasn’t quite figured out why…
