Stripper Man

One of my New Year’s resolutions is to lose my “vanilla” status.

One of my girlfriends describes me as vanilla when it comes to dating and relationships. So I have to do more to step outside of my comfort zone. Well, I stepped out of my comfort zone and into Club Mirage for Chippendales.

I had never seen male strippers unless you count watching “Real Sex” on HBO. I had heard about how excited and wild the women can get but I had never experienced it for myself.

My girlfriends and I planted ourselves at a table that was elevated. Just our luck it was right next to where the strippers were going to enter and exit. When we first sat down I spotted a very nice looking guy. He was easy to see in the sea of women. We thought he might be one of the strippers. I sparked up a little conversation with him.

I asked him if he was the bodyguard for the strippers or something. He laughed. He was the cousin of one of the strippers and he assists him and some of the other guys by putting props on the stage before they perform and collecting the dollars from the stage. But he said, “I am head armor-bearer at my church.” I didn’t know what that was. He explained it is a person who protects the pastor, both physically and spiritually while they are focused on the message that they are about to deliver. I guess that explained why he resembled a bodyguard.

The show begins with all the strippers being introduced. They are in regular street clothes, not their costumes. The first guy quickly changes and the show begins.

My girlfriends didn’t know which was more entertaining … the strippers or my reaction. I was laughing, shaking my head in disbelief, covering my eyes, sinking in my seat, and repeating “how do they do that?”

The guy I had spotted earlier stood near me for most of the show. He had his head down most of the time or he would be laughing at me along with my girlfriends. My girlfriends kept telling me to talk to him or move closer to him. But I was feeling very shy. It was awkward to be at a male strip show trying to talk to a guy.

The show ended and the guy started to put on his coat. I asked him, “You’re leaving before the best part.” “What part is that?” “When the show is over and we get to dance,” I said. He smiled and stayed to talk to me for a few more minutes. We exchanged numbers before he left.

A strip show is the last place I thought I would meet someone. Where is the oddest place you have ever met a potential interest?

Now it’s your turn. I promised y’all could name the next potential suitor in Mia’s life. So I’ll describe him and you can suggest names. I’ll put a poll up on Monday for voting and we’ll pick his name.

He is 29, 6’2, 220lbs, originally from Brooklyn, N.Y., but has lived in Atlanta for about 10 years. He is very active in his church (head armor-bearer). He is into watching and playing sports, particularly baseball/softball. Things he likes most about Mia: my smile and my strong hugs.

Good morning.. Mr. “B”odyguard? Ain’t to many churches or pastors that need an armor-bearer, some of us who attend the only 1 or 2 churches may already know him or know of him. Anyways, good luck with the bodyguard.

Back in the day, that was place to pick up women was the club after the chippendales were there or during. The ratio was like 20-1 (loved them odds).

Have a great day and weekend everyone.

Mia, Ima discuss this in a minute. WHAT PASTOR needs a bodyguard? Isnt that the LORD? Strong show of faith. Reminds me of an old story I used to hear growing up in church.

There was a service being held at a HUGE church, the parishoners were all sanctified and saved. Well to do for the most part. Well at 12:10 (in time enough for the late comers to 11 oclock service to get there) three armed men came in and announced that the church was being held up. They then said that anyone who believd in the lord was going to die that day. They would allow all who wanted to denounce their faith to leave with their life.

After HUNDREDS of people left, the armed men took off their masks sat down in pews and said to the members left, now, Lets have church.

I may have used some creative license with the story but the point still remains.

agg: think about that for a second … if it’s a BIG MONEY church, it’s not that hard to guess why they’d need bodyguards or escorts.

i never met someone in a weird place. although i did meet a guy in d.c. on valentine’s day and we just happened to both be in town the same weekend (it was president’s day weekend. went five hours to meet someone who lived 1.5 hours away… go figure. … he was fine too … i need to call a brotha…

Let’s see.

Head armor bearer at his church = protecting the pastor while they are focused on the message that they’re about to deliver

Stripper assistant = putting props on the stage before they perform and collecting the dollars from the stage

I really don’t see much difference in those two functions. Looks like that brother has found his niche!

I vote naming him “New World Man” or “Mr. New World”.

But anon, again aint the LORD the bodyguard? If you the pastor and you walking with the lord and its your time to go, shouldnt you just let go and let god? How you preaching to me that if the bills are due and I am struggling I should just pray on it cause the world cannot compete with OUR god, but you can’t take 19 steps sans some MAN?

Happy Friday Everyone….

Mia….I can see myself laughing you!! That was my younger cousin’s reaction too the first time I took her to see a meal strip show!! They should have taken you when “Shaka Zula” performed. That brotha was fine; may his soul rest in peace.

JRock….there are more churches in the ATL metro area than you know who have armor barriers.

AW….it’s not that the armor barriers are bodyguards for the Pastor, and some DO NEED them. Several years ago, my Pastor received several death threats. My older brother (a former Navy SEAL) is an armor barrier at his church and he explained to me exactly what his “duties are”. Their purpose is similar to those of the men who were always with Dr. M. L. King, Jr.

**BlackIce”…I went through the office move thing last year and it was hectic because we did it during the week, NOT the weekend, as I suggested!! GOOD LUCK!!

Everyone have a great Friday and weekend!

Aggwit: Most celebrities need a bodyguard when they’re out in public, right? Some of these pastors function as celebrities.

Also, this helps them to stay separate from the congregation, so that they can “stay focused on the message they are about to deliver.” They don’t want folks coming up to them talking about Pookie getting arrested…again.

By MsK

January 14, 2005 09:25 AM | Link to this

lol @ aggwit

Don’t you think Stripper Man’s two jobs are distinctly at odds? Sounds like a conflict of interest to me. Sunday morning he is protecting a pastor and Sunday night he is collecting dollars for a man who shakes his a$$ for a living.

I don’t like that at all, Mia.

By aggressively witty

January 14, 2005 09:26 AM | Link to this

Are yall serious? Pastors as celebrities, separate from the congregation? Gimmie a damn break. Celebrities are also not PREACHING to people tht GOD is the healer and the protector. This is so so off.

I am a parishoner in the church, I tithe, I look to my pastor for spiritual guidance and I get pushed aside by his bodyguard cause he needs time to get his mind right? man I am glad I dont go to these dumbazz churches anymore. And comparing Eddie Long or TD Jakes in 2005 to MLK in ‘63 is absolutely moronic

Good morning all!

C’mon Suga we know that Aggwit has strong opinions about everything - he even said himself that he serves the same function as the two old muppets at the end of the show.

However, I will say that I am also suspicious of any man that is the spiritual protector of a pastor but also the ‘set-up’ man for the skrippers.

MIA,

This guy seems to be kinda suspect on couple of fronts.

1) He’s active in the church & protects the pastor, but moonlights at a male revenue??? Why would a guy active in the church be apart of an activity that encourages lustful and demeaning behavior for both women & men??? Seems kinda hypocritical to me…

2) its interesting that you had to make all the moves w/ this dude…i mean if he was feelin you like you were feelin him, don’t you think he would’ve intiated the swapping contact information???

Just somethings to think about…

Mia, girl be careful honey.. we know you don’t want to be vanilla, but don’t go rainbow flavor either!

Oddest place I ever met a guy was at a cemetary. Specifically, the one in Savannah. We were looking for that statue from the movie, Midnight in the Garden of Good & Evil. He was driving for one of those tours of Savannah. He was FINE, like CALENDAR FINE…(fanning self).

Good Morning everyone… interesting topic Mia! I need to catch up…but my initial thoughts are that you might need to inquire about his DL - “Down Low” status…his “stripper assistant” job is kinda questionable

By aggressively witty

Anon, which of these atl pastors is doing anything to the level of Dr King that warrants death threats. The most thet get is prolly ‘cut you ish off’ calls from parents and husbands. i aint buying the comparison. To me this is like Usher comparing himself to picasso. Calm down fellas. But hey like I said, i dont have these mega church concerns, hell I dont have any church concerns, just strikes me as odd is all.

By Deljah

January 14, 2005 10:12 AM | Link to this

@Ms. SC - Nope, we were not talking about that. But all churchgoers have some type of inconsistency in their lives. Granted “the bodyguard’s” situation seems a bit more startling than the typical scenario, but the principle is the same.

By Royal Chic

Good morning lovely people

Wow, they actually have assistants for strippers…..how odd….does that profession require an assistant?????? Anyway, this guy has an two interesting job title on opposite sides of the morality pole…..LOL!!

The oddest place that I’ve ever met a guy is in Oasis…..hanging out with my neighbor and some of her friends….somehow we ended up at Oasis to meet a group of guys….met this guy with much potential….let’s just say I’m glad I didn’t feed into the stereotype of guys that hang out in strip clubs, but Oasis is mmmmmmmmm a rated G strip club….not much disgusting action going on….

By Wise Diva

January 14, 2005 10:16 AM | Link to this

Deljah, the principle is definitely the same. The bodyguard just has certain things that should be noted as “questionable”, you have to notice things that speak to the character of a person.

deljah…i agree with you…all fall short and are imperfect…only one perfect being has walked the face of this earth…but being one that has taken a position of spiritual responsibility in the church…it’s illogical that he would be in a sin den where he KNOWS the spirit of lust will show itself…now…let’s just hope that the fornicating sista’ leaving her boyfriend’s house is not in church heading up the single’s ministry or the children’s church…

i think that those who accept certain positions of authority in church should hold THEMSELVES to a higher standard and have enough discernment of spirit to know that there are places that they should not go…

for example…if i’m in the club ‘til 2am then i don’t need to wake up the next morning standing my smoke smellin’ behind up in front of the church on the praise and worship team…i need to be sitting in the pew…receiving some word…repenting…asking forgiveness and re-committing to a closer walk…

i used to talk to a stripper once. I didnt find out until we had been dealing with each other for a moment.(he was only part-time, private parties and stuff) After he told me he was like, I understand if you wanna cut me off but I really am feeling you. I told him naw, lets just see how it goes. So from this point on everytime he got an offer to do party he would give me all the details and ask me if I was ok with him doing it. I told him ‘look your mother in on dialysis and you gotta pay that bill so do you.’ He would stay on the phone with me all while he preped for his show and call me the when he finished. He usually didnt even wait for the other guys to be finished. He was actually a pretty good guy. Too bad I couldnt get past that need for approval.

I met an attractive lady at Justin’s a couple of years ago, but she didn’t live here, but we exchanged email addresses, never talked after that, but she periodically gets email forwards from me. Recently, she sent me an email saying that she is coming to town this weekend and wants to hang out. Since I did not remember what she looked like I asked her for a pix. She sent me one from 2002 it was straight, but added that she is now 30lbs heavier, so she sent me a current headshot, but no body shot so I think she is huge, how can I gracefully get out of meeting her?

Aggwit - just like there are people that wanted to kill MLK there are some people that do want to bring harm to some of these preachers. God can’t shield you from a bullet but a security guard or armor bearers can.

I don’t know a lot about armor bearers but what I do know is that most are associate pastors or deacons in the church. I think Eddie Long’s might be off duty cops.

And I know of several churches that have “guards” especially come offering time. They won’t bring their guns in to the sanctuary but they will stand by the door where the offering is led out to be accounted for.

There is a huge difference from not being free from sin and being the sidekick to a strip show. And what is the difference between doing the job monthly or weekly? Some of those dollars that he is picking up fell out of his boy’s g-string!

But seriously how can you imagine 7 years from now at a dinner party with your boss and colleagues and they say so what do you do? and he says “im head assistant stripper for my cousin n nem?”

for real, whats his REAL job?

By Mia

January 14, 2005 11:08 AM | Link to this

Itstime - it’s an irony I can accept. Before he became saved he told me he used to help manage. He actually filled me in on the history of male strippers in Atlanta. Seems Shaka Zulu really took it to another level. The more involved he has become in his church the less he does with the strippers. But his cousin is family. And I can definetely understand wanting to help family out even if it is something you don’t want or like to do.

And Mia ain’t feeling anyone. Men, right now, are an accessory that I can live with or without. I just found him attractive…my girls were peer pressuring me to holla…so I did. It’s not all about the guy initiating. If I waited for a guy I was interested in to ask me for my number he might not ever ask because he might not know I’m interested. I’m way beyond that “man has to ask me I won’t ask him” phase. In fact, I don’t think I’ve ever been in that phase. Like Hurricane, I stepped to him cause I honestly think he was too shy to step to me.

@MsSexy

Funny, when a woman does not want to meet a man, she does not answer his calls, or says she needs to wash her hair, (make’s excuses) etc., I thought a blog full of women could give me a nicer way out. Plus, I would venture to say that a lot of women will accept a date from a man they are not interested in just to get a free meal, so since I would be the one spending money the male/female situation are not congruent.

Uhmmmm, what type of women are the Goobs meeting? One day, when you stop being shallow and superficial you will meet people that are on your level and can have a REAL adult relationship of some sorts………..all this ridiculous, whining is annoying. Funny women are superficial also, and some of them judge men by the women that they have dated. How many you have sneaked a peek at a potential suitor’s exes to see how you match up? If he was hanging with someone with issues, how many times has his stature been diminished in your eyes? How many of you have said to your man I am the best thing that’s ever happened to you because you know about these exes?

There is some hearvy judging going on, on this blog today. I have been lurking all morning until I just can’t take it any more.

THE SITUATION WITH BENET He was obviously physically attracted to the woman at first, so there is nothing shallow about not being attracted to her now. Maybe he is not looking to casually hang out, and if that is so then he has that right. IT DOES NOT MAKE HIM SHALLOW

THE SITUATION WITH MIA She said it before I could. We don’t know how many men she turns down. I will admit there is something suspect about the way she tells the story, and I don’t believe that women should court men, even if it is 2005. But that is her choice, not ours. As long as she can look at herself everyday then who cares. This is something that is obviously not out of her character(based on the storie’s told), so why are we acting so shocked?!

I’m one who believes that men aren’t too shy to get what they want…If a guy sees you and wants you…him being shy will not prevent him from steppin to you. Let men approach & pursue you Mia b/c you’re worth it…you’ll have better results if you let things go in that order. Patience is a virtue…

I have met many men in their 30s that say they are shy or either afraid of rejection, so they don’t take a chance. Knowing that I have actual asked to exchange numbers and even called him before he called me. There is nothing wrong with showing interest and asking a man for his number…

His came from him saying that he met her a while back and they keep in contact (assuming platonic since he was involved for the last 15-17 months w/ the Virgin girl) and now that she’s coming in town he no longer wants to meet up with her cuz she gained 30lbs. What’s up y’all!

@Mia’s “Now What?” I would say just as other’s here already have- DUDE IS SUSPECT. In fact, he gets my vote to be labeled Mr. Suspect. How the h3ll you an accountant and an armour dude, but you don’t care enough about your image or morals to keep yo a$$ outta MALE strip club. I agree there’s a difference when dealing with family, but it ain’t like the stripper cousin needs a secret service agent to help him protect his own cash flow. I mean he (the cousin) IS a man too! He should be able to hold his own. I just think it’s kinda suspect for a professional to put themselves in a compromising position like that because a family member (who is not threatened or in danger) asked them to, especially when he ain’t getting paid to do it. I mean realistically, he may not need the money, but if not then why “volunteer” to spend your time in a male strip club??? Here’s another question for you, did you get the chance to meet the cousin? I mean actually meet/talk to him to see what his position on the situation was? I’m sure you’re on ten toes with dude (at least I hope cause you never post real time anyway), but don’t just scratch the surface with him. You need to dig a 6ft grave into his lifestyle faareal.

as for whether or not to approach a man: i’m with mia on this one (and neck-and-neck with her for the World’s Worst Flirt title).

some women just aren’t very good at showing interest. and men are notoriously slow to picking up on any hint of interest shy of “let’s have sex!” — even if they’re also interested. so if you want to know him better, why wouldn’t you ask for his #?

trifling

adj : not worth considering; “a trifling matter” [syn: negligible, paltry] n : the deliberate act of wasting time instead of working [syn: dalliance, dawdling, wasting time]

A TAN can own a home, drive a nice car, have bills in his name, and still not be worth ish cause he’s constantly running game, has multible failed marriages and baby mommas, can’t keep a stable relationship cause he’s too afraid of committment, and so on, and so on… just my personal opinion

@Mia & MsAP As I have stated before, it is easy to cast judgment on a person, through words alone! All you have is words on this blog and that is not enough to pass judgment on someone you have never met.

To stamp a person a TAN, because you don’t like their views or comments, when they do everything they can to be successful and be a positive influence and or role model in the community..come on!

Let’s be realistic, if you don’t know a person or how they conduct business, please keep the labels to yourself.

@MIA,

Sorry I stepped out to lunch & so I’m kinda late replying to you.

You think you’re average!?!?! What??? I can’t believe that…anyway It’s been my experience in the past that when I approach /intiate contact information etc with men that I was attracted to, it turns out to be a mistake.

By that I mean, it sets the tone for the rest of the relationship as far as who intiates pretty everything that happened between you and the guy. See when you are the aggressor, the guy usually expects you to continue that behavior. In other words, you set the expectation of that action going forward. So, now it will be expected of you to do basically all of the work to keep the relationship going. B/c he naturally feels as though as he doesn’t have to make any extra effort to keep you b/c it was never required to begin with.

Sometimes it better to let things progress in their natural order b/c you save yourself a lot heartache in the long b/c you didn’t intiate something that maybe should occurred to begin with.

I’ve been told by many, many men that I’m a 10 or as SWATS would say a Dime Piece. So, you saying you’re realistic about asking guys out b/c your average doesn’t make sense to me. I’m a very, very attractive woman and I’m telling you from past experience when I let men approach on their own, they treat me like a queen. The relationship flows well and I’m in control verse the other way around. It’s the guys that approach, pursue, and try to change their natural tendencies is when I’ve run into majors problems & heartache.

I’ve experience alot in my lifetime and I’m just speaking from years of hard earned experience. Do with it what you want, but it is what it is. And that’s coming from a “Dime Piece”.

Good Luck…I know you obviously don’t agree…we’ll agree to disagree.

By lovechild

Mia Mia Mia - just reading this topic is so exausting. Are you just creating topic or are real life events? It’s almost unbelievable, some of your experience. The one comment that truly stuck with me today was “God can’t stop a bullet….” please don’t leave this world without more knowledge of God. That’s not to say I’m perfect and you’re not yada yada yada. All power comes from God and the powers that be, are ordained of God…..that is nothing that’s not controlled, prevented or allowed by God.

Divine1, you have mail.

I have flirted with guys and been the initiator at times. One guy said that he felt that I would not be interested, so he didn’t want to be rejected. That could be the case with a lot of men. In those times, I do make sure the effort is being made by the guys, so he doesn’t feel like I am going to pursue him relentlessly. I just make sure to reciprocate, just to be sure the interest is mutual.

@itstimefor change I am thoroughly annoyed with your comment. Let’s be honest some of us are average ( including me and I love me for who I am).So you have the good foturne of being light skinned, long haired, skinny model type.If you see something you want and are interested in ” go get it”. If I sat on my a** and waited for people to talk to me I would not have a single friend in the world or a dollar in the bank. But then again I am not a ” dime piece” so people just don’t bow down to me on command or holla at me every five seconds.

fcgirl2005 - you understand where I’m coming from. Not saying I’m ugly or that I have low self esteem but I realize on the beauty scale I’m not a dime…I’m always described as cute…hardly ever sexy…sexy women get noticed…cute girls it’s “oh there is ANOTHER cute girl”

You work what you have, make whatever improvements you feel necessary to be the best version of yourself, and be confident.. and if anybody tells you that you are NOT dimepiece material, you hand your a** over to them to kiss…hmph…

God has all power, but he gives each and every one of us FREE WILL. Now if there’s a Osama bin Laden fool out there and he threatened me, does it not make sense to get protection or take precaution? We can’t control the action of others, and I beleive God gives us choices, now he may humble is to the point that we change, but some folks are going to bad because that’s what they choose.

God said he will never leave you nor forsake you.. Leads me to a story I heard somewhere. There was a big storm, and the news put a bulletin out about the river is going to rise, everyone needs to go to high ground. A guy said my God will protect me and watch over me. River rises, and the guys stays at his house, man on a boat comes and tells the guy cmon get on the boat the river is going to rise higher, the man said God will take care of me. River continues to rise, helicopter comes and sees the guy on his roof, lowers a rope and says grab the rope, the river is rising we need to get u to higher ground. Guy said God will watch over me. Dude drowns, gets to the heaven s and asks God I thought you were going to watch over me. God says to the guy, I sent u news flash, a man on a boat and a helicopter, what else did you want? I guess the moral of the story was we have choices, AGAIN IF A FOOL IS THREATENING ME, regardless of my status, so whether it’s a bishop, bum or a secretary, if I can get extra protection or I’m given it, I’m not going to refuse in the name of my God, because we don’t know what God has sent that man or woman or has said to that man or woman.

Wheew.. wasn’t trying to go religion…

To answer your question Suga….based on physical attributes…the opposite sex would give me a 7 or 8, but of course I rate myself off the scale with a 20!!! That’s just me hyping myself up, but as the Wisest Diva said we create our own scale of beauty which reminds me of my thoughts on the subject which is BEAUTY IS MEASURED BY CONFIDENCE not by social standards…..the radiance of a woman with a healthy level of confidence with so-called “average looks” is the most beautiful thing for the eye to behold:)

Why are you annoyed???? I was stating my opinion. You do not have to agree w/ me. If you feel that pursuing men works for you go for it. I simply said that I believe every woman deserves to be approach and pursued by men.

I also have a hard time believe someone as intelligent, radiant, brillant, & wonderful as MIA would have to approach and pursue men. If you find that annoying, that sounds like a personal problem to me.

I also stated that in the past when I’ve approached men it back fires on me! I’m just giving my personal opinions and views on relationships and dating. Excuse me for suggesting that sistas be treated w/ respect. Excuse me for advocating believing in oneself and inner beauty. Excuse me for thinking that there are men out there who have the ability distinguish who they want and have the balls to go after her!!!!

Sounds like you have some personal issue that need to worked out.

Something is seriously wrong when women gauge their beauty on men and their impossible standards of beauty. They are visual creatures, by nature, so their scale of beauty is shaped and molded by what they see in media, etc. sometimes. The same media that places Paris Hilton as the ideal beauty (don’t even get me started on that enigma)

It just irks me when I see a woman measuring herself on a man’s view of her. Of course, you want to be appealing to men, as women we seek it out, but there is something seriously wrong when we leave it up to media/men to dictate our beauty.

I’m sure that all men do not use the same criteria to determine dime piece, most women won’t either. When the “dime piece” phrase became popular a few years ago I asked some male friends what makes a woman a dime piece. I received some funny answers but none referred solely to the physical attributes of a woman, really close to none. By far the funniest answer came from a Falcon football player, who had women falling out the ceiling: A woman who wears a nice watch or jewelry A woman who drives a nice car or maintains her ride A woman who wears nice shoes.

While I can’t believe all men use the same criteria, it was hella funny!

I give myself a 9-9.5, gotta leave room for greatness!

@itstime for change like you said let’s agree to disagree. And if you are going to accuse someone of having “issues” because they don’t agree that with your “dime piece” a** THAT sounds like a personal issue to me. Everyone DESERVES to be approached and pursued by men but it does not make you any less of a woman by approaching a man who you think is interesting. Mia doesn’t HAVE to approach anyone, she just has the confidence and cojones to go after what she wants.Just because you have no gusto about you dont knock those who do.

Wisely spoken, Wise Diva.

Damn what a man thinks, it’s about what you think about yourself. If I never were to have a man approach me, I’d still think I was fabulous!!!!……..it’s an inner confidence that I have, even on my “fat” days……hahahahahahaha……I have a pretty face but what’s in a face? that’s only a portion of who the person really is…….. I do find that more men approach me when I am looking my worst (at least in my opinion)……no make-up, hair not fly, jeans, t-shirt, sneakers, etc………and when I ask why, they say, you look very beautiful yet, approachable and then when I let Ivy out, it’s totally hilarious to me…….they may stare and/or walk by several times, but they don’t speak first……….oh well to that.

Ladies, Ladies I was answering Suga’s question and it was based on what a man thinks. Please don’t think I have self-esteem problems because my friends can tell you - that is far from the truth.

With that said, I don’t approach men. I may maneuver my activities to be in the same vicinity as a man I’m attracted to, but I would not approach him. For instance, I might drop something near him or purposely patronize his place of employment.

“Everyone DESERVES to be approached and pursued by men but it does not make you any less of a woman by approaching a man who you think is interesting”

Please show me where in my post did i say approaching men make you any less of a woman???

I simply said that IMO pursuing men can and has lead to problems in any subsequent relationship that may evolve from such behavior for me and alot of other women I know.

I said that by taking on the role of the agressor in the relationship it’ll be expected of you in the future. The man will not put forth much effort in the relationship b/c it was never require of him to begin w/. That’s it. Again, if you have a problem w/ a woman expressing her opinion and giving advise to other women on how not to get your feeling hurt and heart broken by a men…it sounds like a personal problem to me.

If you feel approaching men and pursuing them is your thing and it works for you…do it!!! Good luck with that!!!

now dont get me wrong the inside adds to a persons appeal. cause sexiness is more than a person physical, as I am sure we can all agree. @Anon Let’s be realistic, for a minute! Want’s and needs are two different things!

Hell yeah, most men do want the best that they can get and most women want the same, but a “Dime Piece” is perfect all the way around (Inner and Outter)!

How many folks out there can you say are perfect, definitely not me!

So I say, if you have the core things, such as what I mentioned earlier, you will do,at least for me.

My experience with very attractive women has not been very good. Most have known they were the ish and we clashed eventually.

Coming across as super-conceited wasn’t my intention. I just thought it was interesting that MIA made all the moves with Mr. Suspect and I suggested that hse maybe should let guys approach instead intiating things. I had no idea that FCgirl2005 and the other would freak out like they did.

I preface the whole dime piece thing by saying that men have said that to me. I was saying that I’m considered attractive and I have step to men and it always get me into trouble, so it seems to me that attractiveness of a woman has nothing to do with gettin guys to approach you. It boils down to confidence…

I’m no where near conceited. Anyway, I think all woman are beautiful and I just don’t get how someone like MIA sees herself as average…anyway thanks for the heads up…Have a great weekend!!! Go Falcons

Just to add a comment, I don’t think ITFC is bragging…….she’s describing herself and that’s that……..not super-conceited either, just true to how she sees herself. Nothing wrong w/ that.

Ok, I’m out for real! Drive safely.

Y’all did not come up with too many usable names…I refuse to put suspect on the list of names…so I’ll have to come up with some for y’all to vote on Tuesday. shaking my head Like I would really refer to someone as suspect for their duration as a blog topic.

CLARIFICATION I can’t hate on ITFC for looking good. If you got it girl, flaunt it.I am not in the “hate other black women” club. I just dont like the way she was attempting to relate her looks to the subject at hand.I was annoyed by her point of view not her.

If u are annoyed, that’s your perogative, Bobby Brown. Personally, I don’t like repeating myself. But in case you were wondering, I graduated from the F-U University with a Masters in gloating about it. See me doing that funny waving from the campus with one finger!

Be easy y’all!

if you are going to watch those, start with HighHeels or All About My Mother, do NOT start with Matador(one of his very early films)…lol

Good morning blog fam, Mia as usual I miss all the fun. As far as the three questions go, you can ask, only time will tell if he told you the truth or not. A lot of men struggle w/the truth and a stretch of the imagination.

GOOOOOOOOO Falcons!!!! I haven’t enjoyed a game like that in a long time. I think I may go to the ESPN Zone to catch Sundays game.
