Crime & punishment
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
Some of the incidents reported to Sandy Springs police in recent days:
Road Rage
A man reported that on December 7th he pulled out of his apartment complex and onto Roswell Road near the 5000 block. The car behind him began to tailgate him. The victim said that the car pulled around and came alongside and the driver then shot at his car two to three times. The victim pulled into the Fountain Oaks Shopping Center. The car followed but then broke off and re-entered Roswell Road. Two bullets entered the car through the upper part of the driver’s side rear window. One of the bullets grazed the victim. The victim and witnesses described the car as a 1990’s dark green Honda Accord with tinted windows, black custom wheels and a lowered suspension.
Christmas-Party Gone Wild
Around 11 p.m. a man came to the police department and reported the following sequence of events: Bradley was attending the company Christmas party and walked outside to talk to Zack. Soon they began to exchange not-so-pleasantries. As a result, Zack hit Bradley in the mouth before the altercation was broken up by other employees. Fortunately the copy machine was not broken and later, many butts were immortalized.

What in the heck is up with people? I was in Southern California when they invented road rage (‘89-90’).People started shooting each other on the freeway and it was international news. It freaked me out, now it’s common everywhere in the US. What’s more disturbing is that I keep reading about “home invasions” and it seems like they were invented in Atlanta. What is going on? It doesn’t make sense, most people don’t have that much cash on them, even at home. Why are these idiots bashing into people’s homes? I need a cop to answer these questions, clarify things. I might need a new dog.
On another note; I have this really bad feeling that Cindy is my probation officer and someday she’s going to figure it all out.
hehehe………..

Let me take this opportunity to espouse the liberal view on health care. Cindy? Fred? I don’t have any children, but you kids do. How is Peach Care working for you? Let me guess; regardless of your income, if your kid gets sick they can see a doctor. I’m not sure what will happen with universal health care but let’s hope it looks something like Peach Care.
Hey, it was a dead forum. Why not?

El Bubba, Negative on the probation officer. I’m you’re parole officer…kiddin’.
Peach-Care. Hmmm. Health insurance costs me a couple of hundred dollars plus change, a month out of my income. When we go to the doctor, I pay a hefty co-pay, and God-forbid there’s actually some medication we need, because they’re generally $50 co-pay each.
Ah, and the occassional dreaded emergency room visit…I shudder when I think of it…you know, used to when you had a HMO, you had a co-pay and then stuff was 100% covered. Those were the good ol days.
I seem to recall that some people get to have themselves and their kids covered for free or really cheap…cough, PeachCare…and get the same prescriptions that we get, but don’t pay for them…ok, I’m getting in a really p** mood now. Maybe I’ll go have some random sex with different men, quit my job, have me some extra kid-o’s and ya’ll can support them. Better yet, i’m a taxpayer too, so I’ll really be womaning up and supporting my own kids, right? Without having to do the whole “pay my own way, thing”.
I can EVEN go on Maury Povich to see who the baby-daddy is.
In reality, I’m glad Peach-Care takes care of kids. I’m also just a real a$$ who gets p** off if I start thinking about some things too much.
More to follow…

Cindy, Yup, all sorts of problems with heath care. I hope somebody figures it out soon. How about my other post, about the home invasions. Any input on that? I tend to like gun control but home invasions would sway me to the other side. I think if I lived in the city I’d probably keep a loaded gun/pistol. Makes me think of that guy in Texas that shot some people robbing his neighbors house a few weeks back. Also makes me think of the woman in ATL who shot at the cops, who were also doing a home invasion. My home is my castle and I pity the fool that comes invading. My flare gun would leave a nasty scar, and I have a fire extinguisher if needed.
So, you’re not a parole officer and I’m not in probation. Guess we’re even.

Did you know it’s a good idea to turn your extinguisher monthly to maintain the pressure properly? Turn it like upside down, ya know…flip it over a couple of times.
No input from me on gun control yet…except the one thing from my past that comes to mind…if it’s a rifle, hold it firmly against your shoulder and if you’re spoken to while squeezing the trigger, don’t relax your grip or the scope will kick you in the eye/nose and make you think a moose just did a round-house kick to your face. NOTHING and I mean nothing will make that headache ease up either, except maybe some tylenol and about a 2 hour nap. It wasn’t a pretty sight.

Just today, my neighbor, an insurance/safety type guy looked at the fire extinguisher in my work truck. It was dead.

I love this first line Steve wrote: A man reported that on December 7th he pulled out of his apartment complex and onto Roswell Road near the 5000 block. The car behind him began to tailgate him.
Translated that means the non driving inconciderate Yankee fu….. pulled rigth in front of someone who had to slam their foot to the floor to keep from rear ending the butthead. He probably honked at the rude richard cranium and the “victim” shot him the bird. Now it’s on. That’s not road rage, had the guy been a beeter shot it would have been eliminating an oxygen theif. That sad but probably TRUE part of the story is that the car that had to slam on the brakes was the last car for 700 miles. Rude Yankee just too important to wait long enough to actually STOP at that stop sign……
ElBubba and Cindy: While I’m not rich, we have a pretty good health plan. Even so I am all over Peachcare. I don’t care how irresponsible the broodmare or the sperm donor are, the children had neither choice nor pleasure in their parents joining. Guess I’m a “leftist” on that matter.
ElBubba: Gun control is putting your shot group in an area that can be covered with a half dollar, preferably a nickle. Send me your addrress and I’ll happily send your a HUGE sign to post in your front yard that says,” This house proudly contains no fire arms.” I’m sure the predators will see that sign and pass you by……..

ok, Fred? You’re back…but awfully ticked off? well…we’ll take what we can get…
Peachcare-I said I’m glad Peachcare takes care of kids too. We’re on the same page with that.
Sign for yard…send me one too. I want to see their faces when they come on in and find out everyone lies. This is Tom Bodet…we’ll leave the light on for you. ;)

You can’t pin everything on Yankees. I’ve had plenty of good ol’ Southern folks pull out in front of me. Stupid is stupid. No matter where you’re from.
