Remembering St. Patrick’s Day …and night
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
Today is St. Paddy’s Day. Have fun but please don’t do dumb things that will result in things like jails, hospitals, waking up with circus carneys and / or small farm animals or persons whose gender is not immediately recognizable. You need to know, rather than be informed who kissed your Blarney Stone.
Why do something stupid and end up in jail wearing nothing but a Viking helmet and some green parsley over your unmentionables, the product of what you thought was a good idea ten green beers ago?
The fact is that you can still have a good time and wake up the next day not regretting anything or having to reintroduce yourself to someone who doesn’t quite look like what you remember some eleven green beers and two green shooters ago.
There is quite a lot of dignity left in actually remembering St. Paddy’s Day each year.

Dear Readers, I sincerely hope that that you can enjoy this St. Patrick Day, because I cannot until justice is severed in my families case. Check out www.kllundypublishingllc.com and read what happened to my family at the hands of law enforcement officials.

It’s probably too late to make this post, but St. Patrick’s Day is the worst night of the year (so they say) for DUI and other alcohol-related-hey-watch-this kind of stuff (Subscribe to scangwinnett.com and you’ll see that New Years is actually quiet on the DUI, etc. front).
It’s also one of those nights (New Years Eve is the other) that professional drinkers call “Amateur Night”. Let the wannabes chew up the turf tonight and have a quiet night with a dark brown beer (or four) and a dark haired lady at home.
Be careful out there…
