Nov 18-Someone punched the lock on a Lincoln Navigator and took a briefcase containing personal documents including bills.
This victim said that someone entered his Pontiac Grand Prix and took his wallet that was inside the glove box. In the wallet were credit cards and his driver’s license.
All these incidents took place in the parking lot for LA Fitness which is having a crime problem, not only at this location in Sandy Springs but also at several other locations including Alpharetta, Cobb, and John’s Creek locations. The thief is either cutting or otherwise forcing open a locker, taking the victim’s belongings, or sometimes just his keys. Many times the car is entered after the thief located it by taking the keys from the locker.
I talked to the managers of the Winward and Sandy Springs locations. They aare seeing the same method of theft.
If you are a member, you need to know that thieves are picking on this company and it would be best if you could keep your keys on you as you workout. You can pin the key to your workout clothing.
Don’t even think about taking your wallet or cell phones inside. You’re crazy if you do! Crazy I say!
