A whiff of crime

Marshall’s Department Store employees on Roswell Road detained two men suspected of stealing a bottle of ‘Hugo’ lotion, ‘Escada’ perfume, a bottle of ‘Eternity’ cologne and a bottle of ‘Curve’ perfume. One man passed the bottles to the other. They were detained for that and a bag of pot in a Taco Bell bag. One man later rolled on the other telling the officers that the first guy had cocaine in the trunk of the rental car they leased. Jail for everyone.

An Eckerds Drug Store reported that a man stole a bottle of ‘Polo’ cologne. What is it with all the cologne thefts?

Cases of disappearing bags A man reported that he left his brown leather bag in an unsecured ballroom at the Westin Hotel-Concourse Parkway, on a chair that was pushed up under a table. The bag was left overnight. The bag is gone. Also gone is $2000 cash, wallet, prescription glasses, some fancy Tommy Bahama sunglasses, some more fancy Zgeer sunglasses, and his plane ticket to Tampa.

A woman came home from the airport and placed her suitcase on the front door step while she opened the door and briefly walked inside. When she came back out the suitcase was gone.

Not a good financial planA man said that he hired another man to oversee some financial planning for him. The victim wrote two checks to the man, totaling $4000. The man told the victim to make the checks to him and not the company. The man now said, through e-mails with the victim, that he will return only $1000 of the money. (That request to make the check to him and not the company is a big, big, clue that something isn’t right. Back off and do some research on anyone who would want that much money NOT written to the company he or she represents.)

Men steal perfume to get laid. Women who receive perfume from men have to give it up, it’s the law.

I think I was given stolen perfume as a gift for Christmas a few years ago. The perfume was not wrapped, there was no top on it & some of the perfume had been sprayed. Was it the tester that he stole?! Haha!

While it is unfortunate, how does one forget a leather briefcase with all of that essential stuff in it? Overnight no less?

I guess with the prices on cologne these days, they figured they’d try ripping the store off for a change?

Honey, someone who leaves a loaded briefcase overnight in a ballroom went out for a drink, had about ten, and forgot. Idiots almost deserve to be robbed.

Well let’s not forget leaving purses, handbags, computer laptops in plain view inside a car in a busy parking lot too. That’s why trunks were invented to put stuff away from prying eyes and to make it harder for the five finger discounters to snatch.

As for the perfume… well have you priced some of that stuff lately? You need to take out a Mortagage for some of the more exotic and really stinky stuff.

Kingston, Georgia as in Bartow County. Friday around 3 in the afternoon at my rurual home; two woman assualted me and kicked in my door, fractured my nose, stole phone. I i.d one and guess what? Nothing has been done. She is a NEIGHBOR and free. Never even arrested. An investigator has been assigned to my case. ????? Like I would fracture my own nose, steal my cell and kick in my door? I was told to move out of my rental about 6 weeks ago because I “dont fit in”. I made the mistake of calling animal control as her dogs (none spayed or nuetured) were here 24/7. I have a spayed small dog who I could never let play thanks to her dogs. I did warn them. Is this crazy or is it just that I “dont fit in”.

Just because Sandy Springs has become a new city, and with high dollar homes, doesn’t mean that crime will disappear. In fact, crime will probably increase due to the fact of high dollar homes.

i saw it again today and you’ll see it tomorrow. Money, credit cards, cell phones, and a whole bunch of other stuff just lying in the car waiting to be stolen…and it was. Otis, glad you’re out of the coma. Sandy Springs had the crime problem when it was Fulton County. Now, for a change, we are actually starting to make some headway. Keith, the ajc was nice to let you market a bit. Hope you sell a book. it’s getting repetitious isn’t it? Maybe we should start blogging about more controversial subjects. Anyone got any ideas? Lock you cars, blah blah blah…….I don’t think they’re list’nin..

Yeah Keith, everyone in jail is innocent. Get a life and take your posts elsewhere. I dont want to hear about your bs, I’m here for the tips that the officer tells us because we all get complacent sometimes.
