Bagged with a nice finish

A man was arrested for Shoplifting at the Kroger Store. He apparently took three bottles of Kendall-Jackson wine and put them in a bag. He intended to leave without paying but the wine bottles made too much noise inside the bag and this alerted nearby employees. The man tried to engage the employee in small talk to distract the employee from the noise. He was later seen putting the bottles back. He was questioned and then charged with Shoplifting. You don’t have to leave the store to shoplift. The act of concealment does the trick.

Kendall-Jackson 2001 Grand Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon This wine showcases powerful fruit, impressive structure, and wonderful complexity and finesse. Layers of currant, blackberry and plum flavors are complemented by cedar and vanilla nuances that echo in the lingering finish. Intense, yet polished, it is a wine to enjoy now and for years to come. It is best served chilled 30-minutes after stealing it.

Asleep at the wheel Around 4:30 a.m. officers arrested a 17-year old man who they found in a car on the side of the road. When the officers walked up to the car they found the man in the driver’s seat, asleep, with his pants at his knees, with his hand on his—not on the steering wheel.

What’s my name? Officers arrested a man who gave the officers a variety of different names each time they come into contact with him. He used several variations of “Deonteâ€? and one “Quintavious.â€? Quintavioius, also known as Quantavious, is best known, in Greek mythology, as the God of Waffles.

This guy got scammed. The victim applied for a job with the “Suzuki Handle AG Company online. He received a response. He was hired by a company from Nigeria. (clue) The company said that they would send him a money order for $1000. (bigger clue) His job was to cash it and keep 10 percent for himself. (big red flare clue).
He was informed later that the money order made on the Washington Mutual Bank, was fake.

Take out means eating out for awhile This victim said that someone took a dishwasher, wall oven, microwave, gas-cook top, down drafts vent, and a warming drawer from his kitchen. I’m assuming that the home is either under construction, being renovated.

Credit rating? Ouch A 54-year old man said that he was informed by Equifax that he has a $58,000 tax lien on him from 1993. He said he has no idea why.

Just in Case Sometimes the bad guys do get in and get your stuff. Here are some things that may help get your property identified and possibly returned if it is stolen.

Sometimes, all your efforts won’t stop a determined burglar. It’s wise to take some precautions that will help you get your property back should a criminal successfully break into your home:

• Make a list of your belongings (be sure to keep receipts, especially for expensive items like stereos and computers). Be sure to update this list periodically.
• Keep copies of your inventory list and receipts in a safe deposit box or with a friend. (This is also important in the event of a house fire.)
• Photographing and/or videotaping your possessions is a convenient way to keep a record of what you own.
• Engrave your valuables with an identification or mark to deter burglary and to prove ownership should the article be stolen and recovered by the police.
• Be sure you have the right coverage. You may need to purchase additional coverage to protect special items like expensive jewelry or rare antiques.
• If you don’t own your home, seriously consider buying a renter’s policy. Your landlord will generally not be responsible for your possessions. Rental coverages are available at competitive rates.

Thanks for the Kendall-Jackson wine review Officer Steve. I especially appreciate knowing the best time to serve it is 30 minutes after it’s stolen. Wouldn’t want to mess that up and have the other hoity-toity thieves look down their noses at me. You are certifiably crazy, Sir!!
